      @@orpheemulemo8053 using Perplexity:
Based on the search results provided, the key details about someone wrestling with God are:
The passage is from Genesis 32:24-29, where it describes Jacob wrestling with a "man" throughout the night. This "man" is later referred to by Jacob as "God", indicating this was a divine encounter.
      The key points are:
Jacob was left alone and a "man" wrestled with him until daybreak
When the "man" saw he could not overpower Jacob, he touched Jacob's hip, dislocating it
Jacob refused to let the "man" go until he blessed him
The "man" then gave Jacob the new name "Israel", saying "you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome"
Jacob said "I have seen God face to face" after the encounter
So the Bible passage describes Jacob literally wrestling with a divine being, who is identified as both a "man" and as "God" himself. This encounter led to Jacob receiving a new name and a blessing from God.

I find it odd that most recorded stories early man's encounter with wolves were described as rough, and it can go either way. But any religious story of a Shepherd only needs to weird the staff they have and are capable of beaten down packs of wolves, even six of them, if they were to attack all at once.
    In short:
Cavemen made to kill mammoths: "These wolves are very hard to handle!"
Shepherds: "Just need this stick, and nothing can stop me!"

When it comes to powerscaling characters who rely on strength from an outside source, I would discount those who need to ask permission to draw on that power. Like Samson and Moses.
They can't choose to draw on his power if they feel like it (like other characters who rely on outside sources for their best feats), Moses and Samson need to specifically invoke God to perform their best feats, and if God says "no", they cannot access that power.

I mean technically all power, as it is a nuetral thing, does come from God, but the exercise of it is what's put to question. So you could try to argue that if a prophet meets a condition to be blessed with strength, you measure him by when he meets tge condition.
But technically the most consistent measurement is when there isn't a clear condition being met to explain the extra power.
I guesz if you just want to mess around though then it's fine, because it's just as easy to argue that somebody like David or Abraham retaining or obtaining their strength is like Samson to a smaller scale.

Actually Moses’ Nile to blood feat would be increasing the density of the Nile from 1000kg/m^3 to 1060kg/m^3. Which doesn’t seem like much but considering the Nile accounts for 85 billion cubic metres of water, this feat would be creating 5.1 trillion kg out of nothing. This is a literally 109 exatons of tnt, which is comfortably moon lvl ap when using magic. As for Moses’ speed and durability I’m not sure.

But they haven’t included every mythological or theological character yet. So How strong do you think someone like king solomon and the demon’s he can summon are against other characters in religion or outside it?

Jesus would baseline have the same abilities ascribed to Adam insofar as Adam’s abilities are innate to his being a perfect original human. Jesus’ humanity aspect is the same ‘kind’ of human that Adam was, being conceived directly through god. And so free from the curse of original sin. The Miracles are a suite of powers unrelated.
Eucharist scaling opens up the conversation to there being a-causality and/or fair a bit of hiveminded one-ness between christians because of their sharing in a communal oneness of the literal body and blood.

    • @asafesseidonsapphire

@@joshuamitchell5018 I mean... Jesus is 100% human as us( he could do what we currently can do only) and 100% divine, the reason why he couldn't sin was because of His divine nature, because it would be like negating himself, not exactly because of the similarities to Adam, yes Jesus did came to redeem us from the sin of Adam, and to "restart" humanity so I see your point.

The reason you can't really attribute the feats of prophets to themselves isn't because they got their power from God, but because they're basically just asking God to do these things. It's like attributing Naruto's feats from the pain fight to Sakura because she asked him for help.

Okay, two things. First of all, Adam Beverly does anything miraculous. He should be very weak, as if anything, as he saw God, he would not have needed much faith. He received clear proof directly.
Secondly, Jacob lost against God. God let him win, then right after he renames Jacob and leaves, he duplicates Jacob's hip. He could have done that at any time, so him doing so then proves that God could have won that fight.

Old Kabbalic thought didn’t have as moral a component to the magic question as Christianity, you don’t necessarily need pacts with higher(or darker) powers and viewed that god essentially uses/is magic able to create the world and everything in it, and that you essentially have an instruction manuel of how he did it- in records of miracles and that if you are smart enough and study it then you can then intuit how God did everything, allowing you to copy God and do magic yourself. Now this comes with a caveat- only god is perfect, therefore any attempt you make to do this magic is going to be a bullshit copyright free knockoff version from china version of whatever God did, like breathing life into mud to make a Golem, but your Golem inevitably lacks free will and is mud, because you will be unable to make a perfect human like God.
Another bizarre case study would be the tzefarde’s. a creature that resulted from millennia of rabbis refusing to admit the book of exodus has a typo in it. Versions differ, but generally the tzefarde'a is depicted as an enormous frog who produces more frogs when struck. It's not clear if it splits like a slime or they come out of its back like a suriname toad. So yeah, Jewish mysticism is a whole magical system.
With christianity the idea is that only God and to an extent the angels and demons can make magic actively occur in the world. However God isn't going to hand out magic unless you are extremely holy, and even then it's more being in his favor, and being basked in divinity than anything you get to have choice in.
Therefore all forms of actionable, directed magic must come from the rouge agents scourging the world so magic is innately evil. There’s a TH-cam channel. Whatifalthist. It’s…a bit all over the place to summarize the channel but he’s got a wonderful section in one of his videos. ( edit* ‘psychological black death’ is the one.) With a decent section going over how the Catholic Church & spiritual armies of the angels are mandated with being the thefront line for fortifying mankind’s mental health with demons which are causing plagues of depression, mania, psychosis and the whole shebang of insanities and seizures and so forth.
