Wolf Alice are definitely one of the more interesting bands breaking into the mainstream of the last few years. It’s using the effects to paint a picture instead of just your straight standard clean and driven sounds. Great use of the HX devices too, so much more versatile and able to use with other effects compared to a full blown Helix
Not always completely in love with some of Wolf Alice’s recorded works, but live ... stunning! And Joff is such an intuitive sound sculptor. Why is he not on the cover of every guitar magazine?
He could. But the problem is that everyone likes what they like. Certain effects may be the same, but everything tracks and works within your rig a certain way. And if it doesn’t all mesh the way you want, it definitely sucks. Lol
@@micktheman6 My bad. The way I worded that definitely seemed like I was trying to insult you. I was just meaning that some of these multi-effects units cost so much money and only a few effects end up being likable. At least, that's what happened with me. So, it's easier to just have separate pedals even though it's heavy as shit and looks ridiculous. lol.

So cool to see some classic “old” Empress pedals. I have that Tremolo, it’s a beast
love that versatility you can get from that pedalboard despite you have a single coil guitar.
HX Effect! and Stomp are the best
Love the stomp!
The first few minutes of the rundown felt like it was from the movie Spinal Tap.
anyone know how to get that swooshy sound he’s gettin at 14:37? im guessing it’s a phaser but not sure what param settings I need to achieve it.
Of all the muffs the green is well balanced . Sold my 1977 Big Muff ...so stupid ?
Can we see how all this is being powered?
Underneath the hood there are various power supplies from GigRig (Generators, Isolators, and high-current Timelords and Supanovas) and a Strymon Zuma.
I'm afraid I'm going to have to rate your pedalboard a low 1/10
no boss pedals.
I think he could do all this at half the size.

@@MickeyDs14 I understand his set up definitely works for him and what he likes.
