@@RobotMasters I can't afford as many as you do, but I have several. I do not yet have the S9. I am kind of fond of my 880. He's my oldest and still does a great job cleaning. I like having more than one. I've been avoiding the RoboRocks because I don't know where to get them and I do not know if they will be in English or not. I would like to try an S6.
The Roborock can be bought on Amazon, Ebay, GearBest, yes the robot in English, the paper manual in broken English

Are there any clever ways to keep a rug plat enough on the ground so that the s9 can go over it? Maybe a rug anchor or something? Trying to avoid always having to pick up my large rugs all the time
Hmmm maybe some double sided tape you can put underneath the Rug to help prevent it from moving.
My Roomba really hates my bathroom rug, if I forget it down I'm sure to find it stuck in the bathroom when I get home from work lol...
So my new s9 is great so far!! It works fine on my carpet and mapped the house a lot faster them my defective S9.it download the latest software last night too.
transam That great to hear, been hearing from other TH-camrs they had defective units as well, bumpers, poor navigation issues etc. I am glad the s9 is working a lot better. Roombas are truly impressive little machines 😆
transam since when is there the new firmware? and what is the version?
@@TheTiranon The i7 on 1.6.6 updated on June 29th, the s9 on 1 14.22 updated June 28th.
They usually update once a week

overall, which one do you like more for cleaning your home?
Chad can't say for sure between the s9 and i7. Just from my two weeks with the s9 and a few days with the i7 they are both top performing cleaners. You probably couldn't go wrong with either one, I am in the process of running both vacuum through extensive testing to give you guys a solid answer.
Right now I am personally using a Roborock s5 and 360 s6 as my daily cleaners for my home.

What kind of bathroom rugs should I get for the roborock S7 ? Mine Always get all returned and had difficulty with it.
I found light weight small ones the robot may move them around. Larger thin ones work best.

Just to let you know. Software 2.8.3 was just released a few hours ago for me on my braava m6. I robot is really cranking out the software updates. I really truly believe they rush these to market?

What have you found to help the side brush from destroying itself when running on low pile carpet?
Did the i7 manage to get on to ur shag rug, the one on which you have the bat stools
The only robots that successfully got onto my Shag rug is the Shark IQ and 360 S6.

The i7 didn't move the rugs around as much, the s9 cleaned better along the edges and on the brown carpet. The i7 scattered more debris around.

Yumie Pearl No there no robot vacuum that I know of that can detect liquid and maneuver around it
Can the s9 be set to low power mode? Which would you use on large thin rugs? Wondering if the s9 on auto will be smart enough not to suck the rug.
The s9 has 3 power levels, due to the D shape design and lower ground cleaning, the robot may move smaller rugs like bath room rugs. I don't know how easy it is to move the rug you have, but as long as it secure the robot has no problem transitioning onto these types of rugs.

My i7 gets stuck on every rug in my house.
Sounds like a defect, had no issues with these robots transitioning and navigating on the rugs. One youtuber had a bent extractor housing which caused the roomba to not move on the carpet/rugs.
