I've been a subscriber to both, your channel as well as Dalton's channel for a long time. It was awesome to see both of you in the same videos! I love the fact that Dalton's Grandfather worked at the Kansas City plant, and probably worked on this GTO when it came down the assembly line. I hope this experience with Polebarn Garage gives you some inspiration to work on your own GTO!! You can definitely tell they made the young buck do all the dirty work lol raise them tough and they will be strong , we are loosing that in modern society

Had to giggle on the half n half build , it was done in Australia on a Holden Ute , one side unrestored and the other half like new , it looked great . Great accomplishment here Tim , it’s sad to see someone lost their classic to fire but great to see it live again , potentially it was scrap or derby , cheers from Downunder Australia 🍻

1967 GTO had real short rear springs, don't know about 1968. I replaced mine with El Camino rear coils.
I had no doubt that Dalton and JD along with Jim's help would get the GTO running and drive in home to Kansas City. But without your help and generosity it would have taken alot longer! ps sounds like you let a good motor get away....

I put an overflow bottle in the same spot on my 65 Bonneville: It fits perfectly! I have a spare 389 engine for my 65 Pontiacs. It seems those engines are so bullet proof that I will never use it. Amazing that the engine survived the roasting. I am not sure how long it will last. Maybe longer than this relict.

All ponchos have flat top pistons, compression comes from heads, look at center exhaust posts for code, also 4 bbl heads have screw in studs & push rod guide plates.
