Hey Daryl, man, it's like watching a neighbor figure it all out in real-time. Love how you're experimenting with propane this round; it's something I've been curious about too. That part where you finally hit the boil and the excitement in your voice - that's the highlight for me. It's like, yes, now we're cooking! It's a reminder of how rewarding this lifestyle can be, especially when we share our learnings and support each other in this homesteading community. It's all about trial and error, and you're showing that in spades.
I'm also looking forward to your upcoming projects with the chicks and turkeys. It's great how you're focusing on meat birds this year. Your approach of not wanting to be "like a fart in the Whirlwind" with your projects made me chuckle but also resonated with me. It's about enjoying the process and learning along the way, which you're doing brilliantly.
Keep up the great work, and thanks for sharing your journey with us. It's a reminder of how important it is to be part of a community where we can exchange tips, encourage each other, and celebrate our successes, no matter how small. Can't wait to see how the sugar-making turns out if you decide to go for it. Happy homesteading!

We use cheese cloth to filter or sap, using a food grade 5 gallon bucket, stretching the cloth over the bucket and pouring the sap in. We got 2 gallons this year out of 15 trees, we tried the coffee filters but is was so slow
