I've learned all the mods except the ones I want the most, Anti Armor, Explosive and Quad. I've farmed about 550 spooky so far but no go. I even used a spreadsheet to verify what I should scrip or scrap.

When I first scrapped all the legendaries that I had stockpiled between my five characters, I got the craftable arms keeper and was so excited about it because I was trying to build an overeaters union PA set but still wanted to carry a lot of heavy guns (without using bear arms). I already had three overeaters pieces then randomly crafted a missing fourth piece. A couple weeks later I got the overeaters mod (the single use mod) after scrapping just one overeaters piece of non PA armor. But it still took me a couple more weeks to get the bobblehead I needed just to mod my final PA armor piece to have arms keeper on it. Now it's taking me forever to get any other decent mods. I still haven't gotten an explosive mod which I'm lusting after.
At first I was scraping legendaries as I got them but I was getting zero mods so I started scraping 5 at a time and since then I get them all the time however I've gotten zero mod boxes all I seem to get are the crafting recipes but who knows might just be no rhyme or reason to it
Glitch that is currently able to occur is with the "Candy Bowl" and "Punch Bowl" you can place them in your shelter long as they are in the "New" tab of building menu..
I’m targeting Unyielding mod crafting but just spent 3k+ scrip on 11scrip armor boxes to get absolutely 0 mod unlocks. 😢 Edit : congrats on the explosive unlock !
Hi Turtle and happy Halloween. If all you want is 1* Vampire to put on a flamer, or Quad to put on a Railway Rifle I don't think this is the most productive method. Let me explain... Assuming that scrapping legendry's gives you a 150/1 chance of obtaining a mod and there are 25 different weapon mods in total. So spending 11 scrip with Murmgha gives you a 3750/1 chance of gaining a 1* vampire (for example). Repeat this 2600 times and you now have a 50% chance of obtaining the desired mod. So that's costing 28500 scrip in total (just for a 50% chance). A far quicker method is to craft 17 weapons and add a random 1* legendary to each weapon at the weapons workbench. This will also give you the same 50% chance of obtaining the desired mod on the desired item. The weapons, will of course need to be crafted at level 50 with the science perks enabled plus high intelligence (to lower the cost and increase the weapon durability). What do you think?
Correction. Murmgha charges 11 scrip for random 1* armour and 18 for weapons so 28500 scrip rises to 46,500 for weapon mods. I also forgot about the super duper perk card when crafting which means 30% less junk is required for the weapon crafting bit. In a nutshell, Method 1 (Murmgha) costs 5.5 times more scrip (but requires no junk). Method 2 (workbench only) costs 8500 scrip (converted to legendary mods) plus enough junk for 12 level 50 weapons. Both methods give the same 50% success rate. Maybe Turtle should do us a video?
I learned unyeilding out of 7k script and a full stash box of various modded weapons and armor, but fortunately ive learned almost everything except bloodied, intellegence, strength 2 star but also im not a bloodied character so no biggie. I didnt come in expecting much from this finicky game, if you spen over 5k script there should be some type of incentive towards how much volume of scrapping you do, not based of luck because we all know luck isnt a factor in this game, something tells me we might be all connected in this game.
congratulations on your explosive unlock thats a real money maker , i havent seen any explosive boxes in camps i have visited hundreds of camps on my 5 days off from work soo make sure you price it very high you should be able to buy quad mod boxes or anti armor should be the same value
As it turns out, no, 11k of scrip was not enough to learn explosive. So far I think I'm 15 or 16k into 2 star purchases from Mumbles with no luck. I probably scrapped 30 explosive weapons at least today, and overall got no mod box drops at all + nothing learned.
I hope you have better luck in round 2!! Like I was saying in your last video, I believe that they secretly Nerfed the drop rate for unlocking the Legendary Recipes and Mod Box drops. Or at least there’s a Bug! I haven’t unlocked a single Recipe since the Update and have only received ONE Box Mod since then! Horrible! I hope you do better and put my suspicions to rest. I planned on doing this exact thing tomorrow.
@ unfortunately. Yesterday I went through the entire 11k on one of my 3 characters and unlocked 2-3 Recipes and 9 Mod Boxes. I’m almost not looking forward to going through the other 2 now.
I dunno about the 2 shot being nerfed that bad I used a 2 shot explosive gauss mini on the scorch beast queen yesterday and I'd say it kills her way quicker that the bloodied one I have the bloodied isn't explosive tho wich will make a difference I suppose

With the new crafting system tho it would be great to test different meta-builds out and see what the results are. As for encrypted, I would probably use an electrical absorption card instead.

im still lacking oe, uny, aa, and quad. bought 5k worth of modules the other day. Didnt think the sale was going to be on this weekend. So only gunna be able to spend 4k on armor and weapons... (didnt get anything special, learned +2 char and got 5 box mods)
Spent 6000 script and on the very last item scrapped i got Unyielding, which is what i wanted. Got a couple of plans and some mod boxes. Overall, i did quite well. Will try for explosive later.
I did this many times trying to unlock and I'm about 400 pieces scrapped in with no plans. My wife has scrapped a handful of random items from Eviction notice and already has learned Vampires, Quad, Vital, Explosive, etc. I scrapped 120 gutters trying to get vamps alone and never learned it. It's rough out there. Watching this I feel a little better. Share in our pain!
I did this last time on 1* armor and got absolutely nothing. I had more success bulk scraping after eviction notice! I am convinced the 1* mod chance is far, far lower than getting something from 3* so I don’t know if I should even bother with the sales
My approach now is to scrap everything and forget about the script. I have over 1k modules, do every event and expedition, and scrap no matter what. Some may not agree with this strategy, but stash management and the daily script limit are far too low. Plus, having hit the season's limit ages ago, I got 10 modules for 75 tickets, and I still have tickets accumulating by boosting the score board. 75 stamps for 10 modules makes scripting almost obsolete, in my opinion.
Bethesda is playing with the drop percentage.... Week 1 and 2... I was getting a drop every 50 to 100 weapon scraps Now its in the 150+ range ! The 1st time I scrapped a piece of armor I got the plans for unyielding mod. Thanks for the video ✌️😎 .......and I have over 100 X- Cells that you need for crafting that mod.

The whole system is whacky at best. Get a double unlock for crappy traits breaking down a couple of legendaries randomly. But when I'm sitting on 15, 30, or more of Anti Armor Quad and Arms Keeper each like i was earlier today it will not and didnt trigger unless it was some crappy star that happend to be with it.
Spent 4.5k scip on 2* Armour and learned Unyeilding (which is what I was really looking for) and +2 Perception. Pretty happy with that overall as I didn't stockpile on the scrip like lots of others on reddit, etc.
(Posted this yesterday but for some reason it didn't go through) I'm off work in an hour....I have about 9k of scrip and my player is bursting with legendary gear that I'm looking to scrap tonight. I've already unlocked Quad, Explosive and Overeater's so I'm hanging on to a bunch of that gear to give my wife, hoping she can unlock them as well. My attitude may be markedly different in a few hours but right now it's one of anticipation. (Few hours later) They definitely nerfed the chances for mods. This game sucks! What a ripoff - I'm never playing this game again!! So....same time tomorrow...?

I don't wanna be mean, and it's just my opinion. But starting encrypted when u didn't provide the card in the first place is a no-go. U can do with ur own card whatever you want but leave the start of the event to the player who initiated it.
BETHESDA HAVE TO CHANGE THIS. Yes sure 100% it's amazing you now get a chance to craft your own legendaries and learn them and craft them BUT the drop rate is ridiculous. It's like 100x times worse then the casino with the worst odds. Please create a video with your followers in stream screen sharing if you can to show Bethesda this is like working for 100 years for a chance at$100. This is disgustingly bad odds. You have the power to help change it especially for the causal players that hardly have anywhere near your script amount. We need Bethesda to understand and accept ends game grind with very awful odds destroys the game
the sale doesnt cover modules thier still 100 thats just unacceptable should be 50 each , you know ive only want exterminators ive scraped hundreds of old weapons learned items seems just a random drop not LEARNING
@gasdorficmuncher9943 we should get 100% A module from any scrap and 100% LEARN a craft of the intelligence and luck are atleast BOTH over 10. There should be a stipulated table AND NOT RANDOM odds at getting a mod... and even less at leaving. It should be a fixed guarantee.
It's way better now than it was then. You'd reroll and get an effect you wanted, but the other two effects would suck. However, in order to get those effects to be what you want, you'd have to reroll over the one good effect you got as well.. and then you'd have 3 bad effects. Now, spread that process of rerolling weapons out over years for some people, and you'd finally get a decent roll. Now you simply have to roll to learn the effect, PERMANENTLY. And it's not just on one weapon. You can craft and put it on every weapon, forever. The individual stars are interchangeable. That wasn't possible before. This system is a grind up front but will pay off by putting an end to the grind forever.
ya it bad cuss you can buy hundreds of thing you want but scrap them thier no guarantee you can unlock them some people get lucky one time havent even stocked up on anything

I just unlocked the crafting for strength mod. Pretty insane how you need 60 modules to make one box.

Just spent 11k scrip on 2 star ranged weapons. Got maybe 30 explosive rolls. ZERO mods learned and ZERO explosive mod boxes…

I burned through 11384 scrip on 2 star weapons, trying to unlock the rapid mod. I still don't have it

Why is limb damage useless? The heads classed as a limb so +50% on headshots can't ba bad surely
It does not increase dmg you just damage the limb itself faster
Gives extra chance to cripple not actual extra damage.

I don't like the new legendary rng I think it's a ripoff and it's broken

I'm off work in an hour....I have about 9k of scrip and my player is bursting with legendary gear that I'm looking to scrap tonight.
I've already unlocked Quad, Explosive and Overeater's so I'm hanging on to a bunch of that gear to give my wife, hoping she can unlock them as well.
My attitude may be markedly different in a few hours but right now it's one of anticipation.

They definitely nerfed the chances for mods. This game sucks! What a ripoff - I'm never playing this game again!!

But starting encrypted when u didn't provide the card in the first place is a no-go.
U can do with ur own card whatever you want but leave the start of the event to the player who initiated it.
you are going way to fast when scrapping Legendary's
BETHESDA HAVE TO CHANGE THIS. Yes sure 100% it's amazing you now get a chance to craft your own legendaries and learn them and craft them BUT the drop rate is ridiculous. It's like 100x times worse then the casino with the worst odds. Please create a video with your followers in stream screen sharing if you can to show Bethesda this is like working for 100 years for a chance at$100. This is disgustingly bad odds. You have the power to help change it especially for the causal players that hardly have anywhere near your script amount. We need Bethesda to understand and accept ends game grind with very awful odds destroys the game
the sale doesnt cover modules thier still 100 thats just unacceptable should be 50 each , you know ive only want exterminators ive scraped hundreds of old weapons learned items seems just a random drop not LEARNING
@gasdorficmuncher9943 we should get 100% A module from any scrap and 100% LEARN a craft of the intelligence and luck are atleast BOTH over 10. There should be a stipulated table AND NOT RANDOM odds at getting a mod... and even less at leaving. It should be a fixed guarantee.

It's way better now than it was then. You'd reroll and get an effect you wanted, but the other two effects would suck. However, in order to get those effects to be what you want, you'd have to reroll over the one good effect you got as well.. and then you'd have 3 bad effects. Now, spread that process of rerolling weapons out over years for some people, and you'd finally get a decent roll. Now you simply have to roll to learn the effect, PERMANENTLY. And it's not just on one weapon. You can craft and put it on every weapon, forever. The individual stars are interchangeable. That wasn't possible before. This system is a grind up front but will pay off by putting an end to the grind forever.
ya it bad cuss you can buy hundreds of thing you want but scrap them thier no guarantee you can unlock them some people get lucky one time havent even stocked up on anything
Scrapping legendaries for these stupid legendary plan mods and getting one is rarer than rocking horse shit...it's beyond a joke
