I would love a new truck. I would hate to pay for one.
I got a 2003 f150 in 08. Little over 50k miles. I bought the extension warranty to get the loan to 10k. You get a better % on the loan. Nothing down $200 a month. I still have it with just 130 on it. Just a weekend driver now days. I can't justify letting it go. Even though we sold the boat several years ago. All this time and I have replaced 1 injector and had the throttle body rebuilt. + Maintenance. The point. In 08 they could not give cars away. Dealerships were making deals. Novel concept nowadays with basically the same thing going on they don't want to sell their collection.
Thanks man I really appreciate that! I hear you with the truck prices, I’m potentially looking at one myself. Unfortunately as these trucks get more and more capable, they’re also getting more and more expensive. The mid size trucks are just as capable as full size trucks from 10-15 years ago, however they’re all 6 cylender or turbo 4’s. There will usually be a trade off now in days with trucks, usually either with the powertrain and platform, or the price 👍🏼
It's been hard to find good reviews on the 24' 6.6L gasser in any trim level for the HD's, so thanks for this great in-depth review!
