    No maintenance so far?

      No maintenance! I’m getting new tires next week though.

      EVs need little maintenance as they have so few moving parts. The list gets long if you think about it having no engine, injectors, cam belts, catalytic converters, O2 sensors, spark plugs, exhaust pipes, clutches, gear box. No oil changes, no engine intake filter to go wrong or need periodic servicing/replacement.
      OK - no gear box? The Tesla has a 3 piece, constant meshed, reduction gear from the motor to the differential and selecting reverse just spins the motor backwards.
      An EV does have six consumable parts that do need regular replacement. Tires - 4 and Windscreen Wipers - 2.
