the first time I heard leontyne price I was 15 years old I was in the concert choir in high school and our voice instructor broader album of the Opera El trovatore I was blown away by the rare quality of this incredible voice. she was in my favorite. when I heard CABALLE for the first time I was in my early twenties once again I realized I was hearing a voice of the century. one time someone asked me what do you prefer price or caballe ? and I said to them you cannot compare greatness you can just enjoy it for the short time that they will be here with us my only regret is that I never saw CABALLE in an opera or in concert. I saw leontyne price twice 1974 in 1985 in concert and 74 I was blown away never heard anything like it never well again. two great Prima Donna's. once again you cannot compare greatness. Maria Callas will always be my favorite she has no equal and never will she wear her heart on her sleeve. and I believe that is the only reason she was able to sing and become the person in the Opera because she was so broken inside God bless her and take care of her Maya Para Siempre thank you for listening.

(ad un'artista di questi livelli emotivi e in un momento di Grazia assoluta)...vadano da uno bravo....poichè del mondo non hanno capito nulla...e affoghino nel loro supponente diniego?...Vorrei poi sapere Cosa fanno nella vita , ma sopratutto ...come.Lei non era mai scontata...(e spesso quando cadeva...capita ad ogni artista che cerca strade nuove all'Interpretazione....)usciva dalle secche di una serata storta...sempre con tutta la dignità che occorre avere in situazioni ...non favorevoli.Lei era di una generosità unica....e con un fisico e una salute "cagionevole"...non si è mai arresa...e questo modo di cantare il barocco...la innalza nelle interpreti storiche.Molte cantanti, sopratutto femmine ...nel 900 sono riuscite aiutate dal momento storico contingente, al restauro di una certa disciplina stilistica ...accettando spesso di Misurarsi con ruoli iniqui per la loro vocalità, e scomode poichè magari anche giacenti dimenticati ...per la difficoltà... lei come poche ...si è caricata sulla Voce...il compito che ogni vero artista ha nella vita...far rivivere la bellezza di quello che sullo spartito è ....roba morta.Potrei fare Molti esempi di questo coraggioso azzardo...e i Melomani dovrebbero essere grati ; e distinguere il canto in Teatro spesso con pessima acustica, da quello artefatto del disco; sempre.Ma per questo ci vuole sensibilità e rispetto...cose che spesso nelle tifoserie del belcanto...latita.Peccato...davvero.Gli spettatori presenti per Fortuna capiscono il dono ricevuto. Chapeau!!!E grazie a chi ci ha regalato questa Perla.
