I'm a mom and an addict in recovery. And also the child of a mom who was an addict and wasn't around much for my childhood. This song kills me not only from the kids pov, but also as a mom it's a reminder of why I'm sober and that I will never hurt my kids this way.
Nate’s music is his therapy. It’s always impactful in one way or another, even the bangers! Take the Journey-it’s a certain order that shows you his progression through his music.
His music is his therapy, if you go back to the beginning, he tells the entire story song after song, how it started, why he is who he is, what he does, its a masterpiece from the start. I love the emotion, his music is very real! your emotional ride will be a rollercoaster. And im sorry for your loss.
Understatement! NFs catalog is one honestly best taken as a journey not just for the best understanding of his metaphors but also bc it helps you prepare for the next hit home that he never misses on!! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 No lie i grabbed my tissues b4 hitting play
Wow, you jumped right in the deep end with this song being your next NF track. Given that you went here this early, you should check out HOPE from his latest album to see how he’s evolved. I recommend listening to Mansion first, which doesn’t have a video, whether you react to it or not, before you watch Hope.
If you can get through this song without cutting onions, you must be a psychopath! This song is heart breaking but beautifully written and performed. Nate's music is amazing. I just got to see him live last week and it was a great experience. Looking forward to following your journey into the world of NF ❤️
Yeah, that one's a real gut punch. The best thing about Nate is that in everything he says and does he's incredibly genuine. Opening yourself up to others the way he does takes incredible guts and I admire him for that alone.
You guessed it G, his name is Nathan. Remember at the end of Let You Down, right before it cuts to black, you here a woman say “Nathan”. That was him as an old man, watching himself make mistakes and go through pains ( I think) 😆. You held it down man. First time I watched this I grabbed a pacifier and a binky, took my cryin ass to bed. NF is always in my all star line-up
I'm/we are crying with you Joe E... together we are crying. All true what he says in the song, her death and all. The crying at the end is pure crying. Told the people in the studio to leave the room, but leave the mic on. This song hits hard, everytime. You're not human if you don't cry to this song. Theres no way you don't cry. No way.
I discovered NF (Nate Feuerstein) I saw someone react to his song Mansion (first label album). He went through a lot of trauma as a child and his albums are his journey of growing, healing and finding hope. He is a very talented artist and has a way of connecting all of his music together which is unique. As both a fan and a person, I am happy to see him reach a point in his recent album called Hope where he knows that fear and past trauma will always be a part of himself that he fights, but he is the one in control now. As a poet myself, his lyrics amaze me and so many of his songs have so much wisdom in them for someone so young (Remember This, Change, Just Like You, Prideful, Nate, Oh Lord….). My husband, our granddaughter and I just went to his concert in July. It was awesome!
Omg. I’m new to NF and this was powerful…so sad. I’m looking forward to going through the NF journey with you, but I’m definitely going to have some tissues close by.❤😢
I love how raw and real good music is. I don't have the same situation as him in this song, but I can feel it through this song. Plus his music and videos are all very cinematic with strings and such you don't get often with others. You should listen to his music in order of album and video releases to get his story. It really is his journey. And helps to explain stuff.
Loved your reaction - it helped me appreciate the exposure outside vs inside that I hadn’t considered before 🙏 The eventual follow-up to this is “Mama” but no video. I would LOVE to see you breakdown the cinematography on “Story” though!!!
Brother every video is powerful. Start the journey from the beginning. I’d love to see this journey from your POV. Based on your reactions you’ll very much appreciate his art
@Joe E Sparks let me start by saying I love your reactions. I’ve watched all your Ren videos. I’ve been listening to NF for years and just recently went to his Hope Tour concert. I’m here for your NF reactions now too. Ren has become my fav since I discovered him in early 2023 but NF has always been up there. My top 2. I want to give you some guidance, I guess, when it comes to reacting to NF. If you just jump around you won’t get it. Many of his videos are connected and tell a story. There are Easter eggs etc. So, you basically have to go in order from the beginning. There is a playlist on TH-cam the most folks follow it’s called The NF Journey Proper Order. Please please use that playlist and follow along for the NF rabbit hole. You can’t go wrong. I’m so excited to watch you get into this. Let’s goooo!
Like others have said Nathan is NF. Also the father has been said to be NF as an older man, that he let his younger self down. It is a lyric video but Mansion is very good and in Hope the mansion scenes are revealed. Therapy Session is good, I agree you’ll love Story
Appreciate the video reaction. Tough song but its just a very great video and a song that just touches you. I didn;t go thru this with any parent but the song just males you feel his pain.
Songwise a good follow up to this is Mama off of his latest album. No video but it is a follow up to this one and shows how much he's grown. For song and cinematic value The Search followed by Leave Me alone (those 2 go together also)
I can't relate to this song at all, but just listening to the pain in his voice I can only imagine how bad it feels, this is the one and only song I know that will put me in tears every single time I listen to it.
Great real, raw reaction! Love it! With your background I think you would love Story, Clouds, Therapy Session, when I grow up, Search, Leave me Alone, Hope, Motto, & Happy. You should also listen to Mama on his new album, so you can see the growth and healing he had since this song came out. Mansion is also a great song to understand his catalog, no video but like you said, he is an incredible story teller.
Hes amazing he mentions this song by track in nate a song to gis 6 year old self also he even says in another song i dont know if im making movies or music videos so yes the cinematic is on purpose
I can't seem to enjoy NF I know alot of people are mad on him right now but I've listened to a few of his tracks, he doesn't give me the same excitement and tingles I get when I hear a ren song any ren song. Think the bar has been set for me so I think now if I don't get the same reaction I feel when ren says he's dropping a song then it usually a sign
LOVE the reaction!! TOTALLLY!!! :) ♥ :) ♥ “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” ~ Romans 15:13
Great Reaction, Keep em coming, But there's a story under the story, you need to go back to Mansions, there are so many easter eggs relating to previous songs, shame to miss them, It's like watching Violet's tale first, just in a wider scope (A Pun!)
Props to the actress playing the mother. She conveyed an enormous range of emotion and reaction without any words.
I'm a mom and an addict in recovery. And also the child of a mom who was an addict and wasn't around much for my childhood. This song kills me not only from the kids pov, but also as a mom it's a reminder of why I'm sober and that I will never hurt my kids this way.
NF crying at the end is really him crying in the studio, the told everyone to leave the room while he recorded that part of the song
You have to listen to Mama next. These two songs go hand in hand
True…it will help ease the pain of this one ❤️
@@RaeRaeRahhh agree with you 100 percent
Nate’s music is his therapy. It’s always impactful in one way or another, even the bangers! Take the Journey-it’s a certain order that shows you his progression through his music.
People say that but it isn't anywhere near enouch, which is why he sees a real therapist and has made trememdous progress the last like 3-5 years
You lasted longer than most of us. Thanks for the great reaction.
The end when he talked. He asked everyone to leave and he did that part. Real genuine emotion
His music is his therapy, if you go back to the beginning, he tells the entire story song after song, how it started, why he is who he is, what he does, its a masterpiece from the start. I love the emotion, his music is very real! your emotional ride will be a rollercoaster. And im sorry for your loss.
Everyone cries to this song. Every single time. Its a rite of passage.
Mama is a great follow up to this song
One of if not the most heartbreaking song I have ever heard 🥲💔
Understatement!
NFs catalog is one honestly best taken as a journey not just for the best understanding of his metaphors but also bc it helps you prepare for the next hit home that he never misses on!! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
No lie i grabbed my tissues b4 hitting play

Part 2 to this "MAMA" OFF HIS NEW ALBUM......a must listen next
This is the NF song that hits me the hardest!
If you can get through this song without cutting onions, you must be a psychopath! This song is heart breaking but beautifully written and performed. Nate's music is amazing. I just got to see him live last week and it was a great experience. Looking forward to following your journey into the world of NF ❤️
True, and his followup to this on his latest album is very nice. No video but great song none the less.
Yeah, that one's a real gut punch. The best thing about Nate is that in everything he says and does he's incredibly genuine. Opening yourself up to others the way he does takes incredible guts and I admire him for that alone.
I've heard this song countless times and it gets me everytime
You guessed it G, his name is Nathan. Remember at the end of Let You Down, right before it cuts to black, you here a woman say “Nathan”. That was him as an old man, watching himself make mistakes and go through pains ( I think) 😆.
You held it down man. First time I watched this I grabbed a pacifier and a binky, took my cryin ass to bed. NF is always in my all star line-up
Thanks bro👊🏽🤣 I was balling on the inside 😂 but yeah I've loved both I've seen from this guy...I need to do another soon! But with tissue lol
Now you gotta listen to Mama to see how this song had progressed in terms of Nates growth
Patrick Tohill is the music director for Nate. I think they have been working together since his first music video
I would definitely delve into his catalog. In order mostly. Cuz there's references in his later videos you won't get unless you watch the earlier ones
No way.
No pulled punches and they all go straight to the heart

I had to come back and watch your reaction to this song. It kills me everytime. Tears, always tears.
Sets the age and season nicely too... the nostalgia
Oh I feel you, bro. Empathy is my super power and my curse too! ❤
Tom macdonald has a song called castles nova filmed in black and white that i think youd absolutely love...
Still waiting for more of this my brother, NF is a real human as you are. Get BP and do like a 3 pack of NF. Love as always, (in tears with you)
plz do " mama" soon...its the follow up to this one and shows how he grew as a person n forgave her
Aw god here we go again 😢I can’t not cry at this song n I have a feeling you’re gonna be the same ❤xxx
I love watching music pull emotions out of people. That's art. Powerful stuff.
This was the first NF I WATCHED
I hit that subscribe button so fast! Please go on the NF Journey! You can look up the list of songs in order.
I love how raw and real good music is. I don't have the same situation as him in this song, but I can feel it through this song. Don't know if you have already but would love to see your take on NF song Story from your pov
Your eyes will never leak alone!! ❤
Might be cool to check out Mama right after this to hear the contrast between how he feels about this now.
I’ve been waiting for this one. I cry almost every time I hear it.
Wow.. just wow. This got me choked up.
The Search, is probably his most cinematic video. Lots of his music is a small movie when it comes to videos
Loved your reaction - it helped me appreciate the exposure outside vs inside that I hadn’t considered before 🙏
The eventual follow-up to this is “Mama” but no video. I would LOVE to see you breakdown the cinematography on “Story” though!!!
Love you man
Awesome, genuine reaction!
This song makes me cry everytime 💔❤️
This song makes me cry too. It's so raw and real.
Please react to Dave - too many to pick, but Lesley would be a great reaction of a story being told!
You did well and this is a key to unlocking several future bars. So good on you hanging in there
I always took the low shots in this video to be the view from a child's eyes
Patrick Tohill is his videographer
Brother every video is powerful. Start the journey from the beginning. I’d love to see this journey from your POV. Based on your reactions you’ll very much appreciate his art
For cinematics and context, watch these 3 videos from him in order" "The Search", "Leave me alone" and "Hope".
You will love it.
Loving the NF reactions! I’d recommend ‘The Search’.. then consider going back and starting at Intro 1!!
Please take Nates Journey,. and to see him in concert live is amazing....I hope you are ready,. ❤❤

@Joe E Sparks just to make it clear for you so you don’t end up butchering it going forward, his last name is Feuerstein (FIRE-STINE). Its German…
I would like to point out the repetitiveness of the shots.
It’s cause he doesn’t have a lot of memories of her
Jump on more nate only second video watched of your first was let you down you need more nf early stuff
Hello everyone
#like 0:20
NF are his initials, yes. Nathan Feuerstein
Great Reaction, Keep em coming, But there's a story under the story, you need to go back to Mansions, there are so many easter eggs relating to previous songs, shame to miss them, It's like watching Violet's tale first, just in a wider scope (A Pun!)
