I am retired from the military. I was in a unit that was deployed many, many times. One thing that angers me is for a wife to cheat with another man, while her husband is deployed and says it was because she was lonely. When I say she has no concept of lonesome I speak from experience. Lonesome is your life being in danger every day and there is no wife to give you a tiny bit of confront. Lonesome is sleeping alone on a cot or on the ground night after night with nothing but your thoughts of home and the woman your heart aches for. Lonely is eating army rations as you sit on the ground and thinking about a home cooked meal with the woman you love. There are a hundred thoughts of home every day and a thousand thoughts of her. I understand that a wife misses her husband but not even near as much as he misses her. You can't even compare living in a nice home and waiting for your man to come home to living in a jungle or dessert and hoping the bullet with your name on it doesn't find you and you get to go home.

@@martinc9723lt happens more than you realize. I came home early from RVN, not telling anyone. My fiancé lived in Columbus, Ohio. I spent a couple of days at my folks place in Massachusetts,
then hopped a plane for Columbus. I took a cab to her place, instructing the cabbie to wait without taking my bag from the car.
I walked to the door and knocked several times. She came to the door in a nightly, looked at me and almost fainted. Her lover came down the stairs and just looked, jaw oped. She really had no excuse so I just walked back to the cab, cabbie watched this unfolded. ( where too ) he said. I told him to head for a hotel close to the airport. I flew back to Boston the next morning.
She tried to get back into my life for the next 50yrs, hell no.

They get the 2 sexes mixed up, he becomes she and visa Vera, names get switched back and forth making you wonder who they’re talking about, and sections of the stories continue with different scenarios of the same thing. If AI is the thing of the future, woe be all of us!

Story is a bit off. Deployment to Afghanistan is 6-12 months not 6 years. Brenden's wife had already discovere his infidelity and chewed him out at the dealership before the lawyer discovered his was married.
Did not make sense that the lawyer just showed up at Kyle's and enticed him to seek revenge and destory his wife for cheating.
Considering Kyle was supposedly gone six years I think his wife becoming lonely and slipping could be forgiven, in time.
Although, cheating is appalling, but when someone is absent from your life for 6 years, do you really call it cheating?

To pull a deployment shift of six years let alone six months and you expect your wife to still be loyal and faithful.Thank you graysoldier for a wife to say she was lonely, and the husband doing it rough in hotel jungle desserts , streets being American hostile environment, yeah even for six months the thought of returning to a faithful wife and a family not my idea to return to the jungle of lies ,deceit and an unfaithful wife ,who is the real enemy.

A six year deployment with no leave home? There'd have room be a world war.
The wife had no idea he would be coming home. It would be known by everyone In the unit and all their family and friends so very unlikely the wife had no idea.
Doorbell rings and she finds a series of her favourite flowers on the mat still not suspecting her husband!
Finally I've never heard of successful lawyers go door knocking to find work. In fact I think there are bar association rules about solicitation.
I don't mind well written 'fiction' about cheating and its consequences but this wasn't even slightly credible!

Just a little confused, in the military for 6 years and the family didn’t know about Emily’s affair. Enough to give him notice of his wife’s infidelity. Unfortunately I personally would never get married while in the military. My short 4 years in the military gave notice to much infidelity going on to military personnel. Many which are unknowingly raising someone else child, unless the child is biracial and of course the male would normally find out. I’m sorry this happened but unfortunately it’s not uncommon.

That Michael was a complete Tool. He had a Loving Family. A Wife and 2 Kids, and yet that wasn't good enough for him. He had to ruin the lives of 2 others who were married. And the sickest part is, Emily went along with it. And what, because she was LONELY? How about Op? He was stuck in Afghanistan, fighting for his life on his own besides his Fellow Brothers-in-Arms. In the end, I am glad Emily and Michael got what they deserved.

Need to edit 22 min with 26 min. I don't know about Afghanistan but we in Viet Nam had a 1 year tour of duty with a 1 week of R&R half way thru in Hawaii . Emily could have easily met Kyle. Unfortunate, most of us got "Dear John" letters, from the lovely cheating wives or GF. Some officers took it so bad that they led us into traps as sort of suicide by combat. I, instead, got nothing for two months and by overseas phone (compared to Skye today) was told she hooked up with some law student. Couldn't even get The Letter.

    im sorry....what
married military person deployed in a warzone consistently for 6 years......
on and off rotations yes but not consistently
    unrealistic
i doubt that would ever be allowed to happen.......unless it was a world war and it would be doubtful even then
mental health and govt being sued for failure of the marriage!
    as for the marriage.
    always move forward, never backward
wth is the rubbish inconsistency at the 21 min mark onward. it makes no sense and does not fit the story or timeline.
it reads more like an alternate ending but switches from the exs aps wife (sarah) and becomes the ex (emily). that he already got closure from
then turns the clock back to before the divorce ...........i see now. author / uploader lost track of continuity and this part should appear much earlier in the story
26m14s is when the story returns to the correct timeline with sarah.
lastly. no one returns from action and gets immediately demobbed. there would be a transition phase of at least a year before ending service

I do get a kick out of how all of these stories make revenge seem empty and worthless. I can honestly say that I am on my 3rd marriage and my first 2 ended due to infidelity on her part while I was working. Given the opportunity for revenge knowing I wouldn't get arrested I would have happily jumped at both times. But where I live the husbands are always guilty before court even starts, so there would be no possible way to get revenge and not end up in jail!

In most western countries called often the golden billion, women are over-privileged over men, especially when it comes to law. They can cheat, drink, take medicines, do whatever they want, even falsify accusations and claims, yet they will always got scoot free or with a minimal sentence. In my country, one woman killed a man, he was innocent, just walking in the park, then a hysterical woman jumped at him and stabbed him to death (one stab in the neck), because she thought that he is her cheating and abusive husband (that was her claim) and the judge (woman off-course) bought it and sentenced her on 3 years probation only. 3 years probation for 1st degree murder is this a joke?
Another case from my country, 2 girls accused a teacher for... r*&*e and ruined his life. His wife left him, his children cut ties with him, he lost his job, an so on, and he was instantly sentenced for 8 years, without any evidences, only on two girls testimonies. After 2 years, one of this 2 girls friends, called police and showed them evidence that it was a set up, because that teacher given bad grades to this two girls. He was released from prison but... no apology, no compensation, nothing, and this two girls were sentenced to... 40 hours of charity work. 40 hours charity work for ruining a good man life and punting him in jail for 2 years!
Same goes with divorces. If man cheat, then his finished, he will lose his kids, pay alimony and so on. If woman cheats, then its the same, man will lose his kids and still will be paying alimonies. Seriously, we live in a very twisted an crooked world today!

    is there any other kind?
(military definition) ... relating to or characteristic of soldiers or armed forces.

People need to proofread their own damn videos. How does it jump to talking to the AP wife then continue like talking to emily. Is it so hard for people to at least doublecheck what they post cause it reflects poorly on the person posting the video stories. Though about the video i will say that military husbands that go away for long periods of time should at least come up with some way to deal with the separation on both sides. Hell why even get married if you want to force questions to pop into peoples minds its not like she had a kid or something else to keep her grounded either. Just sounds like some fool who ran into a marriage head first and never got his feet to hit the ground before being deployed.
