It didn’t take that long to pick up a mint green DJ41 fluted on Jubilee. I really love that watch it just fits like a dream. Such an iconic watch. Guys just be persistent and you can get these watches at list direct from an AD. The green dial is just Rolex through and through and in my opinion is a timeless classic that just can’t go out of style. Get down your AD and get your hat in the ring. It’s a buyers market right now.
Now at the end of the day we can complain all we want but these are all luxuries we don’t need. It wasn’t that long ago I was in a refugee/prison camp before I could immigrate to America from Bosnia. I’ve also been all over Iraq while in the US Army. Sometimes we forget how fortunate we are to even be in the position to spend a few thousand on something we absolutely do not need.
Great video and super useful. Got my stick dial 41mm slate grey about a month ago. Just under 2 years on the waitlist so your info is spot on! Love the yacht master
Is this applicable only to the 41.....or does it apply to 36mm....I have been on a list for 2 months for the 36mm flued with blue dial.....am I kidding myself that ill get that this year
I went into Watches of Switzerland in London and got a fluted bezel within 4 months with no previous spend history at that AD. I think it is hit and miss 🤷♂️
This is really dependent on the AD and Sales assistant, I’ve been waiting 3 years for a DJ41 from Goldsmiths, went to another AD and picked up a mint green smoothie/jubilee in 3 months.
That’s good advice about getting a YM40 as a value proposition over a DJ41 actually, plus you don’t see them in the wild. I’m out in Dubai on holiday at the moment and everybody seems to be wearing a black Sub, GMT Master II or DJ Wimbledon in this resort. I haven’t seen a single YM and I’m glad I chose to bring my Explorer II polar as I’ve never seen one of these in the wild either. Might just trade in my DJ41 for a grey dial YM40 you’ve got me thinking now.
Hello. I put my name down at a local AD for a no date sub and the yachmaster in slate. In your opinion Is it better to stick with a single AD or put my name down at multiple ADs? I have no purchase history. The sales person sounded like they could bring in the yacht master for me relatively quickly. Honestly after the no date sub and the yachtmaster I will probably be done with the brand. Too many waiting games.
I will consider a OP in the near future. But I wont ever get a watch on the grey market, and if I cant ever get one, then so be it. Got no issue with people getting watches from other sources, I just wont do it. I don’t like dates, so OP is the 1 for me.
Once you stop thinking about Rolex, the life will be so much easier😅
Grey market dealers are taking piss on profit margins

I saw a testimony of a ex-Rolex salesperson and he said there is no waitlist. They just want your details to do some due diligence.

Flipping at a loss is the norm not the exception.
