Everyones talking about how well this represents madness or how madness wouldnt be the same without this music. Meanwhile, Im watching the wobbly men hanging in the corners of the screen.
You posted a day before my birthday you magnificent bastard. Feels like an early bday gift. I’ve been listening to you since I was 10 and wether or not it’s based on a degree of nostalgia, your sound is truely unique and masterfully produced. You and Krink are fuckin inspirational and deserve as much attention as possible I just turned 24
This song sounds like it would play on the last part of an infamously difficult game with zero checkpoints, you can just feel how important the actions that have to be done to this music are. Absolutely my favorite madness track, love every bit of it.
A lot of the music I like to listen to are tracks that help me focus on storytelling and writing, and this theme is no exception. 9.5 gives the feeling of the main character making a comeback after the second low point of the plot diagram. Basically the phrase “Everything has gone to shit, but I’m not giving up.” Especially at 1:15, it feels… motivating, even after so much hardship.
I like the build-up and drop way more here than anywhere else. In other songs it's just that, a palette cleanser. But here it feels more like a faint force suddenly recollecting itself from pure entropy, gathering strength, and then finally bursting into a seamless, formidable flow of unified energy, continuously pacing itself as it determinedly strifes to its destination.
@@Cheshyre You're welcome and I am very glad to hear this. I'm also suprised for you to notice comments on old videos. I'm not a content creator, I don't know how that works, but I figured you'd usually only read comments on recent stuff to keep yourself from being overwhelmed. What did you go for making this though? Just curious. All of your music I've heard has something about an undying desire to fight inspite of an oppressive reality for me. Carrying on even though all is lost and drowning in malicious chaos. Not even because of any conceivable hope, but because it's the only thing worth existing for anymore.
This is hands down my favorite soundtrack to ever come from Madness so far. What really makes it amazing for me is the Guitar Riffs at 1:15 and 3:12, really gives off a murderous vibe considering who the protagonist is. Hope to see more stuff like this in the future of Madness, keep up the good work 👍
Just rediscover the madness series, I forgot how badass it is and how good the music is. Keep up the great work! This is some really great stuff I'm surprised you not more well know.

I think the thing I love most about this song is the subtle horror sound mixed in which fits because despite all the violence that Hank is used to, something weird is definitely going on with Tricky and then the Retainer who Hank so far can do nothing about so he's at a point where he's out of his depth so the horror music fits a lot.
When first watching 9.5, I wasn't such a fan of the tune-- but after repeat hearings the subtlety and genius of the track really stands out. Excellent work!
this is so cool!!! i love how in the background you can hear i kind of siren like in MC10, also, the slightly gritty-sounding memory makes for a perfect hell ambiance.
I’ve sorta ignored MC 9.5’s track, but I’m glad I gave it a listen about a few weeks back. Now this has to be one of my favorite tracks in the whole of madness
Having listened to both while i really like the remaster...it lacks that sorta..."dissonant howl" that the original has and that ive grown used to hearing from you. I think its due to the lower noises being louder in the original which because they blend together more and arent defined as much, theres a greater sense of "unclearness" and chaos which is very evocative of the premise of madness itself. Either way theyre both goooood~ youve always been the other half of madness and your tunes are so iconic
What? That's high praise, thank you! I hope you've found a playlist that includes this one. I think I made a playlist of my favorite songs, but I can't remember if this song is on there... anyways, thanks!!!!
