One of the best Anime/ Game Series ever. I wish someone would take this up and give it a serious new game. Something that can rival and blow the current FF 's out of the water.
Good Luck with that... there isn't a JRPG franchise that can rival FF's massive appeal and fanbase at the moment (dunno it there ever will). Arc The Lad is largely forgotten and will simply stay that way. Just speaking from a pragmatic and realistic point of view.

Arc the Lad was a rather niche franchise, even when it was released. The series was overall a decent adaptation, but not really something suitable for mainstream audiences, also the animation quality was rather mediocre. In the end, there are too many other franchises that can be milked for big bucks, still its always nice to look back once in a while.
