- Refugees from Somali arrive at Kansas City International Airport on Wednesday evening after traveling from a refugee camp in Nairobi, Kenya. The family of nine are moving into a house in northeast Kansas City. They had originally planned to arrive last week, but their migration was halted last week by the Trump administration's executive order temporarily banning travel for all refugees and citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries, including Somalia. I am a middle aged, white, Protestant Christian that worked with Somali..and other refugees in Kansas City, MO in the 90s. No matter what these comments imply, they are human beings! With all that the term 'human' implies! To paint them all with a broad brush of 'invader'..'worst'..'freeloader'..??? I don't understand that!...it's not the kind of American values I was taught. And I am a Reagan conservative from my first vote in 1984
American values never consisted of giving free handouts to a whole country of people while doing nothing for our own.

In West Virginia where I grew up, a lot of whites on welfare and I never was...save it!

But remember those refugees didn't come to united States just because they feel like but rather the United States government requested them to come because lack of employees or shortages of staff in United States. I know they getting better life but also they filling new positions which vacanted by American citizen because their background check couldn't qualify them for that position. Example: I work a company that provides service to disability people and guess what all employees are from Africa and we only have 2 or 1 white the whole company. If all employees quit from that company the company will run out busssnes.
