Woo hoo! That restaurant was fantastic. It was really close to the train station Rosita. We suggest you download Maps.Me which are offline maps to use for navigation if you don't have wifi. Honestly the way you described the taste of Kobe beef I can almost taste it here ha ha ya they have the best beef there. We had it a few times and they were the best ever. Like you said they were pretty affordable.

So happy you made it to Kobe and had some beef. It's a fun topic in the U.S. For decades scores of restaurants advertised Kobe - reputable steak houses, hotels, even some Michelin joints. Well, turns out only EIGHT restos in the entire country actually serve certified Kobe. 😂 Chefs quickly changed their menus to correctly list Wagyu and my friends and coworkers who claim to LOVE Kobe beef are rethinking things. I'm blown away that Nishimuraya offers such an affordable lunch. Great find. I've pinned it. 👍 I like my prime beef rare so I'm good with just kissing the grill but I too would be nervous about overcooking. Sake tasting would be dangerous for me. 😂 Fun day and great tips!
So crazy isn't it! You know something has got to be good and in demand when people are faking it! We were reading about the fake sales of Kobe beef when we were there and found it so interesting. Eating real Kobe really was like nothing else. Totally blew us away! Wasn't the price point at Nishimuraya fantastic! Such great value for lunch and we totally left feeling like we'd got to try a great amount of food. The sake tasting could get out of hand so fast! Each place gave us about 8 samples and there were so many breweries we could have visited. Great fun! So glad you enjoyed watching our day in Kobe. That's quite a bit of sake! I've had lots over the years but have never done a proper tasting or even had any flights to compare. Did you learn much or noted significant differences between types (ginjo, daiginjo, etc.)?
Having them side by side was really interesting. Like you we'd never had them that way before and it gave as a great idea of how different they can be. I really enjoy trying the brewery only unpasteurised sake. We both really enjoyed the Gingo style also. 😋 - Thomas

We were able to book online which was good. It's a very small restaurant so would be worth doing that. We have zero Japanese and we were totally fine. There was a news broadcast that...in Pennsylvania USA, this farmer and his family fed their cows gummies, i.e..gummy worms, gummy bears and others. They said it made the milk sweeter. Also, when I was younger, there was an older lady, probably between 60 and 70, (don't want to be rude,) that would sit on a 4-wheeled cooler and use scissors and nail clippers to do the edges of her lawn.

Kobe is where the cow Gods are. Obviously never tried Kobe, but Wagyu only. Makes me moan whenever i eat it. Haha!
