      Jaime Garrido Bergholtz This sonata is no longer attributed to J.S. Bach but to his son C.P.E. Bach.

      IOANNIS DIMITROULIS I discovered that too, it is Bach anyway; Carl Philipp Emanuel being a classical period musician shows much of a baroque period characteristics in this work but you can tell the emerging classical influence as well.

    • @thebulgariankgbleade
      @thebulgariankgbleade 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree about the influence, but CPE is NOT a classical period musician. He is from what is called the Mannheim school of Music - the bridge between the baroque and classical periods.

    Définitivement fan de mon compatriote Emmanuel Pahud...l'adagio est d'un beauté qui nous étreint tant le flux est à la fois intense et contenu sans vibrato superflu...ma version préférée entre toutes de ce 2ème mouvement - merci ...

    Hey folks, first of all: A flute and a harpsichord usually don't perform songs - but pieces. Songs have to be sung ;-) And another quite important information: Yeah, Bach was great, especially Johann Sebastian Bach. But he had very talented sons, too (and composing ancestors even), and today musicologists tend to say that this sonata is not from Johann Sebastian, but from Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach. Only in the case of BWV 1030, 1032, 1034 and 1035 the authorship of Johann Sebastian is certain.

      SorgenkindDesLebens I believe this one was originally a violin sonata. The other two Sonatas that historians that are from J.S. Bach is the Eb major and the C Major Sonatas

    It's kind of a blend really. Could have been JSB pulling off a slightly more gallant piece to live up to the times, or it could have been CPE writing in the format his father taught him.
    Having said that I'm not sure what case the scholars would make.

    • @0babul0
      @0babul0 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You probably know it already, but looks like it's attributed to CPE Bach now (at least according to IMSLP). Haven't researched it really, but I've found information about JSB being questionable.

    С чем можно сравнить чистое звучание флейты Эммануэля Паю,звук которой проникает в глубины души...Это ни счем не сравнимо..и каждая из композиций исполнена в высшей степени мастерства ,маэстро в каждую ноту вкладывает душу и можно слушать до бесконечности,словами описать это невозможно,можно слушать и чувствовать душой

    @dayret123 heheh, I love Bach's songs too... They're kinda strong and full of energy, but Bach knows how to keep it all in notes!! So his pieces are wonderfull that way! I'm 13,and I play flute too, my teacher didn't tell me to learn this, but I came to idea to play it myself. I'm thankfull. (Bach's great! :DDD)

      Tell me... how will you pay for your soul when you die? All those ugly spots on it... sins... Can you pay?
      You like living water? Seek the One Who can give it...

    Although one of my favourite (Bach) and one of my favourite pieces of music (BWV 1020), this is certainly not the way to lead this piece to mastership and full develoment and, for the listener, to enjoy the music. This piece has its special charm by the specific harmony & by its chords - especially in the solo parts of the harpsichord. From this, there is nothing left. Instead one gets the impression of a fully stressed atmosphere with the music sounding as much stressed and automatic ...

    • @Jemawin

      It also has a CPE Bach catalogue designation and has been attributed to both composers, but it's probably not by either one.

    • @katiesanti5379
      @katiesanti5379 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s attributed to CPE Bach but it’s unknown whether it’s him or J.S. Bach who actually composed it. More modern prints tend to attribute it to CPE Bach whereas J.S. Bach is written on older versions

      falalalala786 this is a baroque piece. It's not supposed to be romanticized with polarized dynamics and heavy vibrato.

    • @milicar.5741
      @milicar.5741 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Dynamics only appeared after 1750, after baroque. In Bach’s era, there is no such thing as dynamics. Some parts were only played “a bit lighter and easier than the others”

  • @toma1610

    It‘s not 100% sure that it was written by the same JS Bach. And why so soft the articulation? Is it his own interpreting style?
