Bmw steering wheel and s class dashboard 😂
Those thing have terrible safety ratings
When learning about numerical analysis, we learned the Chinese were masters at 3D scanning surfaces, and being able to replicate them. So they just take existing body panels, put them under a scanner, and multiply them.
Matt, if you were given an option, which Chinese brand would you have opted for ?
Fun Fact: *these chinese copycat cars are made for cheap to make look rich*
Plot twist: *many Chinese Copy cat Cars are made in GTA 5...*
The geely is actually sold here in South Africa
having been to some of the main chinese cities i can confirm these knock offs are very rare.
Can somebody out there PLEASE explain to me the benefits of being a knockoff copycat and not developing and being proud of your very OWN unique identity? I'm SERIOUSLY battling to wrap my mind around this...
Matt. Just so you know that when watching this with subtitles, it says Car Wang and NOT Carwow! 😂🙈🤦🏼♂️
Almost 15 years ago model.Even in the market at that time, it was very rare.
Some unknown small business trying to survive, thats it.
I can get small, relatively unknown companies making bootleg merchandise and getting away with it, but *these companies are straight up copying entire cars.* I don't understand how _this_ can even remotely slide at all.
When he said old Toyota landcruiser but in Australia they still sell them
In South Africa too...
@@francoisdvanderwesthuizen I was gonna say we sell it in SA too😂
Great timing on this video Mat, makes it easier to rationalize finding alternatives to any and every product from China. Also great haircut! Good to see you with short hair again.
2:24 “land wind” “the new land wind fire water”
Imagine driving a mini knockoff
Don't be too popular, we might get a Car Chao hosted by Mang Wotchen
Pranay Chaturvedi with a weird accent, too
To think that BAIC was actually in cooperation with Daimler AG makes it more interesting
They couldn't copy Rolls Royce Phantom
Could not they just tell that name as "Beautiful Leopard", so very pathetic name
As a Chinese, I have never seen any of the models you mentioned, except for BJ40 and BJ80. Ironically, the company that makes these SUVs is Mercedes and Jeep's biggest partner in China.
The BJ40 is actually sold in my country and it's a surprisingly good car.
You should check out the Suzuki Jimny, for me the Jimny looks way more too exciting than Mercedes or Jeep
