Quick question: for those who already have Studio One 5 Professional and tons of optional Presonus software, can you not offer a proportionally reduced Presonus Sphere membership so we are able to see the exclusive videos with a suitable membership? I feel the original supporters of Studio One ecosystem who already own a lot of Presonus software should participate in the Sphere but you should create a suitable membership that gives discounts for the software the person already bought so it doesn't feel like we are paying for something we already have. I would sign up for the exclusive videos! Thanks and keep up the great work! Merry Christmas!
I agree - why do I not qualify for videos about Studio One when I am a Pro owner but not a Sphere member? It seems counter-intuitive - I am not asking for all the free software or free plugins.
@@thedevilsadvocate5210 Gregor mentions these videos in many of his TH-cam’s videos and you can also see inside Studio One in the splash screen it shows some Sphere only videos. They do advertise the Sphere videos’ content in the website too.
I’ve been using Cubase since the turn of the century basically, and I have to say when I first saw Studio One, I thought to myself ”good luck with that”. Had I known it was a bunch of former Cubase developers behind it, I might have paid it more attention. Now, since a few months back I’ve made the switch, and I am thoroughly impressed by the UX. I realise Steinberg can’t just switch it up however they would want to, given their large user base who have their workflows imprinted in their spinal cords - (it’s the Microsoft rigidity phenomenon in UX terms). And while I’ll always be thankful for their ingenuity and technical innovations, I see now that Cubase has been holding me back, in a big way, because of UX issues. And while it’s always going to be painful to make a switch like this, it has been so worth it. Oh, and thanks for the macro sheet. :)

(From Russia) Gregor, why don't you make a macro for - Merge into a folder, Add a bus and so that the track folder is automatically connected to the bus, I tried to do this for a long time, but still I have to manually write the track to the bus folder, when creating a macro, I I also added a chain of effects (In my case, this is a Bass Group) But still I constantly have to connect the bus for the group folder in manual mode, that is, it is created on the mixer console, but it is not connected to the track folder! After many hours of torment, I came to the conclusion that this function is simply not in the program itself, and there is one more drawback, when I save a chain of effects, while the track is painted in a certain color, then when loading this chain of effects on a certain channel or bus, the color is not loaded, and that is, it is just gray , but if we save a tool preset with effects and a specific channel color, then when loading this effect, everything loads correctly, the name, effects and color, I would very much like these functions to appear in the pro gram!1) Automatic connection to the track folder bus (Macro) 2) Full compliance with the saved preset of the channel, group, effects channel and group channel! Well... I mean, as usual, I would be overjoyed if these shortcuts actually worked, but sadly, some of them just don't! Maybe it's a Windows vs Mac OS thing, I dunno? But after I finally found the "Bus + Rename" macro installer by Joe Gilder which Gregor showcases here (would've been nice if you explained how to actually install that BTW guys lol - i.e. it's in the "Macros" exchange page under Joe Gilder, but totally separate from the "Macro Pages" thing), it just creates a Bus for the selected channels but then renames the first track I selected instead?? Even a dummy like me (apparently) can clearly see that - given a set of undefined circumstances - these shortcuts obviously do work, but many of these just don't for me - would love to know why? I wondered if it was because you have to have things like "Keep Bus Channels on the Right" selected, but that makes no difference... Don't get me wrong though, these are some truly game-changing work-flow suggestions in theory at least! x
Hello ... Great macro page .. I am writing because I just discovered a bug and I wanna see if anyone else had this issue. If you make a macro (button or not) to add efects on a channel .. like make you own channel strip whatever .. you can not add it to your master channel ... Am I right ?
I love macros in Studio One and use them a lot with a Stream Deck XL.😊. Is it possible to reset all the mixer settings in Studio One, like faders and pan controls with a macro control?
Is there an existing macro to select between the two markers where the playhead is and loop it? I'd love to click one shortcut instead of dragging to select between the two closest markers and then turn loop on.

Hi Gregor and thanks for your awesome content. I wanted to ask if there is a way to get Instrument track behave like audio tracks when it comes to monitoring while playback. We record a hybrid drumset (SuperiorD3 drums, normal audio Cymbals) but i cant get the Instrument channel to be silent while playback is running and monitoring/recording is active/armed

Thank you! Is there a way to set up a macro or key commend to select the midi note velocity. For example on a hi hat I want to have three different velocities 50/90/120. I want to hold down a hot key and add the note with the corresponding velocity. I want to do it while imputing rather than editing it later. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
Hi Gregor, I have a short question: How can I group several events from different tracks no matter of their position? When I go to the cloud exchange to install the Macro Page two things occur. One: No thumbnail shows in the browser, just the name of the GBY 2022(Exchange).macropage. Two: When I click on the green Install button nothing happens in Studio One. It doesn't install. The file winds up in my downloads folder instead? Huh? Gregor please help. Thank you.
