I really do appreciate your work here on TH-cam with the THETIS software. I hope you continue with this series. Great Job. BTW, I do use HamRadioDeluxe logger which reads band and Freq. from Thetis and populates the log entry form. I am using the Anan G2. 73 Art W1SWL
Thanks Kurt, very informative video, I am new to Thetis, and find your videos extremely useful, but I will have to watch them a number of times to fully understand the features of Thetis. Please keep making more videos, and the time you spend is appreciated. Regards Tony 2E0FXU
The tones and pulse on WWV and WWVH have many uses. Tune it in and look at the signal carefully. Then, do some research to learn what happens at what beat. ANd at what minute or hour of the day. There is more to it than meets they eye.
Hi Kurt, Nice job! You are really helping me out (new user). Perhaps I missed it but have you presented the way to calibrate the power meter without an amplifier? I've looked through the various methods and I can get the output to perform at 5w with an external meter but I can't find a way to get the meter(s) internal to Thetis to display anything close to the external meter's reading. It is always too high. Thanks in advance, Scott KE8KYP
I find the audio from Thetis running onscreen at the same time that you are talking a big distraction. Could you at least reduce the radio level below your voice track on future videos? Also, I would very much like to see a video on how to set up & save a (separate) profile for SSB and another for digital modes - that would simplify switching between them quick and easy. Thanks so much for your videos - they are super informative and are helping me climb the learning curve much faster than otherwise!
I will agree here in that reducing the radio volume during commentary will be very helpful. Of course ramp it up when needed. As a long time broadcast and audio engineer, I can suggest that the background audio should be no more than 30% the volume of the commentary. This can be done in post edit as you are preparing to render the video. Your commentary should average about 70% above any ambient audio, music, etc . Adding a compressor to the commentary audio channel/track will help keep it level and smooth. Most editors will accept VST plugins for this. I hope this helps.
I'm a long time HPSDR/PowerSDR user and have been seeing great reports on the Hermes Lite 2 radio. Do you know if the Hermes Lite 2 can be locked to an external frequency reference? My HPSDR is locked to a GPSDO.
@@ON7OFF Tnx for the quick reply...I'm thinking of putting a station together with one of these and would like to be able to monitor two hf frequencies on 80 and 40 meters like I do with my Ten Tec Orion.... 73 Bill

Hello all...can you run multiple slices or receivers with the Hermes lite and Thetis????
You can receive 2 frequencies at the same time.
