Hello. Thank you very much for your videos, they are very interesting. I have a Hermes Lite, and something strange happens to it. When I put the device in transmission mode erratically, I hear the relays switching. There is no pattern and I don't know why it happens. I don't know if something similar has happened to you or if there is some type of configuration that solves the problem. thank you very much for everything

I Love This kind of stuff. I have the HL2 and a GEARONE MV1000 mic with Neodymium Magnetic cartridge `and XENYX802 mic. Preamp. All other processing is done in Thetis thanks to you and your advise with minimal tweaks to customize to my vocal range. Thank you for all you have offered in setting up the HL2. I'm sure you have increased the sales of this incredible SDR Rig and I Hope they take notice. 73 Kurt

Note I have a small carrier from a network hub. I have had to add a notch filter of a few khz wide to get rid of the annoying carrier.

S8 of noise, wow, so I don't see the herpes pulling out any signals from the noise! Just wondering why you run the radio rx wide open? Why not get the background noise as low as possible on the radio?

SDR radios like my Anan 800dle are amazing for their RX performance manipulation. But for pure audio quality, especially with the spoken word, analogue radios like my modified Kenwood TS-950SDX (WZ5Q Voodoo version) are still unbeatable. The TS-950SDX delivers a warm, nice sound that SDRs can't quite match. My Anan sounds good but a bit "clinical" or "etherized" by comparison - it's hard to describe, but it's not as pleasing to the ear, even after trying to optimize the settings. I'm not knocking SDRs, which have their own strengths. But when it comes to audio clarity and a natural listening experience, my modified TS-950SDX remains the champ after 35+ years of playing with audio gear. That's just my two cents based on what my ears tell me.John G0TIY

So can I ask why are all these Herpes lite users signals all +20dB? Are you guys running preamps? Reason I ask, is that I see you have a noise level of S5 and I thought the whole reason of running these sdr radio is the whole signal to noise level. Another herpes lite user on youtube does the exact same thing, reports are +20dB but huge background noise levels, so I don't get it.. why are ye running the rx so hot?

Without a doubt, sometimes it is worth doing a test with a little more bandwidth... what a good relationship you have and that software does a spectacular job, there is a lot of information that you get only in the audio channel, but much more when you can see the rest of the information on the spectrum. Does not exist for Mac or Linus; however, with Parallels, you can emulate Windows 11 on a Mac, and with some fancy configuring and sometimes a second third-party software application, you can route the audio from Flex Smart SDR Mac to RM Noise for processing in Windows 11 environment. It's a pain. Best to do it all on a PC.

Why does the "analogue" S-meter read 1-2 s-points less than the S-meter in Thetis?
