A few years ago, I helped a friend get his Corvette running after it had sat for about a decade. I finally got it to fire up, but it was running rough. I revved the engine up and heard him laughing. I went to the rear of the car to see what was so funny, and there were mice nests on the ground and mice running everywhere. They had built nests in the mufflers!... Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Hey there Mitch, What a beauty that one is! Besides C2's, I've always had a thing for the early C3's before the bumper laws. As a kid, these were pretty hot stuff, back in the day. The car looks like it's going 100mph while parked in the driveway. I'm pretty excited to see the restoration you are planning. Merry Christmas my friend! Take care, Dan
If your Dad would hang the rear license plate and cover in his garage, it would be a nice way to remember Greg by. It sure beats tossing it on the trash pile. Your first video no this has 2k likes and over 118 thousand views.
I have an almost overwhelming desire to start the car as is and at least drive it down the road and back. And maybe a couple donut burnouts? But that's how an old shade tree mechanic thinks.
I'll definitely will be watching this series. It will give me info on getting my 68 327/350 HP. 4spd on the road again. Can't wait to see your progress.
As an owner of a '72, I was wondering if this car would make its way back to this channel. A full restoration seems pretty ambitious but looking forward to the content.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year Back at ya and your family. Been enjoying the videos and appreciate you taking us along for the ride. Should be a fantastic video series that many will benefit from for a long time. Cheers !
That's the exact plan you should take Mitch! Tear her down and rebuild her better than ever! I'm gonna be loving this series! A+++++
You have the right plan Mitch. Car deserves to be done right. You also have one sweet place for playing with our favorite toys.
Great Plan for the 68. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to seeing the car done and running all sorted.

I wouldn’t have moved the challenger for the power wash either. Lol, Chevy thru and thru!
What a find. Excellent Mitch !
I would have also soaped down and pressure washed that engine bay.
You got to get that thing running. Those 427s are the best. 😊😊😊
been here since before you pulled this car out of its tomb. Look forward to this rebuild and i am partial to c3, only have 5 currently😇
WOW! She is a really nice survivor and worth the effort and cost to bring back up to par!

I love C2 and C3’s convertibles with a hardtop .. One of the reasons I bought a C5 FRC
Good looking car! Definitely worth doing! I’m looking forward to watching this project come together
Same to you Mitch.

3 Holleys, how sweet it is!!
Great idea, I owned a 68 4 speed convertible back in 69. Always liked corvettes .
Back in 69 were the 63-67 still more popular?

Good to see you analyzing what it is and what to do
Lose the pace car wheels, and make it a survivor
Its worth the effort, its a keeper, what a great project to have
Very beautifully done too!!
Thank you! Cheers!
What you are planning is the correct thing to do.

435HP had solid lifters and a 6500 red line tach.
Great video. I have a soft spot for the 68 L71 myself and restored a Rally Red one about 5 years ago. Let me know if you have any questions Mitch
I've also heard that CE could have stood for Counter Engine or Chevrolet Engineering.
I did the same program on a really nice, original paint 1977 Trans Am. It came completely apart, got serviced, put back together and enjoyed.
CE designates a counter engine which means it was purchased through the parts department.
can indicate a warrantee block
Haha.... yeah. Doing the right thing is not the popular thing. Just like in life.
Will this car be fixed up to sell?
What's going on with the Camaro?
I would have moved the challenger first
