@@SpectrumGeeks I came here for exactly the same thing - to find out what kind of foam rubber is in the oil tank? And also, to find out what to do with it in the end: use it or throw it away? :))) Thank you for the excellent and competent review!
Watched a lot of your Polestar videos before I got my own. And now I am searching for a pole saw and there you are again. I see you have small plane videos too, hmm where is this going!!! XD
Thank you Dale, I find the instruction book a bit hard to follow, and difficulty because of the print size, can the cutter be used without the middle section to shorten the length? Good video 👍
Unfortunately my OPP1820 started to leak oil even thoug I stored it vertical. It even leaked inside the rod down to the handle and battery :( I returned the product but miss the functionality as I have many trees and it's so much easier than doing it by hand.
@@SpectrumGeeks I use two cordless saws of another brand - they always leak oil from the very beginning during storage. I use cardboard stands. My friends have a similar situation with various gasoline chain saws - they also leak oil during storage. I suspect that with OPP1820 everything will be exactly the same - oil will leak out. Dale, you are probably right - it is better to pump out the oil before long-term storage.
You've just saved my oil filter foam from throwing it away as an unnecessary part of some factory transport filling 😂
Glad I could help ;)

Yes, absolutely
I's much more sturdy without the extension.

Cheers for sharing, thankfully mine still seems ok.
How long did you have yours before you had this issue?
