you should try using a-shorter leader length like 12-16 inches. Your liter in length looks like it’s more than 2 feet with a shorter later and I’ll get your lure more action. or you can bend the Dodgers, so it has more action.
The picture must be deceptive. I tend to run all my leaders at about 12 to 18 inches. Depends on how much action the lure has on it's own. Thanks for the input.
Thanks for the kind words. At North Cove Park only half of the launch is open right now. But with the very low traffic at the launch, I can basically back right up to the water and set up the boat. Slide it right in. Piece of cake. It will probably be a little tougher as the launch gets busier.
Great video! I didn’t know Lake Stevens had Kokanee in it. When I lived there during high school I always adventure out to Lake Goodwin, or Lake Cassidy.
It all depends on how deep I'm trying to fish. With the electric motor, the fish being boat shy isn't really a problem. If I'm not using the downriggers, I'll let them back anywhere from about 40 feet to 100 feet. With the downriggers, usually about a 50 foot setback, then pick my depth based on where I'm marking fish. Great question. Hope that helped.
@@prowlerfishing1745 What weight were you using to long line? I seem to do best with 100ft out and 1-2 ounces. 3 ounces never seems to be as successful.
On that day I used 1/2 oz with about 75 ft set back. All the fish were near the surface. I find that if I have to use more than 2 oz, I just use the downrigger.
great sound quality, great fishing, great sweatshirt!

Good job, glad to see some early success. Was it tough launching?

There is actually a Kokanee derby at Lake Stevens every May now. You should definitely revisit.
@@prowlerfishing1745 oh nice. I’ll definitely have to come back for that.
what brand of boat?
It's called a Pond Prowler 10. I believe it's made by Pelican. I bought it at Cabelas.
Hey. Where do you launch from at lake Stevens?
I launch from the North Cove Park boat launch.
How far do you let your gear out?
