A question for those who support the modern interpretation of the references, in Sura Isra, to two times when the Bani Israil suffered a defeat: if these refer to defeats suffered by Bani Israil at the hands of the Muslims, then how do we interpret the intervening verse "Then We gave you once again, a return of victory over them.
