The Dirt Dogs hit a possible jackpot thanks to Jake's initiative. A discovery that puts them a lot closer to their $640,000 goal.

What I don't understand is why call each other away from there individual search because you've got a hit, why not just dig see what you got and let others keep searching so you cover more area. Use a flag mark your spot and continue to dig those spots once everyone completed there individual area .. but I'm no prospect so idk

As far as I understood the mining laws in WA, once an application for a lease has been lodged only the person or company named on the application can prospect that ground. All others have to obtain a Section 40 E permit from the Mines Department. I stand to be corrected on this as the rules & regulations may have changed since I last went out?

What dives me crazy about these programmes is each time a piece of gold is found everyone stops what they are doing to go look at what is found. Why can't they just keep going and when then come together at the end of the day they can show what they have found, I know they get excited on the find but its not as if its the first time they found gold.
I hope Jake is getting a percentage.

prospecting is really interesting, but unless you got something going for ya, it really something to do in yer spare time. the dream of getting rich is only for the few. its like playing the slotmachines and only a few hit the jackpot, while the rest may or may not get some sort of living out of it.

Jeans with holes in the knees are much more expensive than ones without holes. You must not have ever raised daughters. I’ve helped raise 4 and they have their own ideas about what is fashionable. And if they are REALLY into fashion, the costs multiply exponentially.
