Really like the SR styling and overall design on this one. I bought a used 2011 Versa and use it for Uber. I've been really impressed with it. Tons of leg room! And storage. Incredible on gas! Sometimes i can't believe the needle doesn't move more. Feels like a hybrid sometimes. Engine wise.. not the most powerful but perfect in the city and once up to speed on the highway i can push it to 130-140 pretty easy. Excellent mileage on the highway. Great car! Would buy another.
As a big guy not a big fan of small cars but my wife wanted this 2015 versa note SR I was very impressed with the leg room in this car I'm over 6ft tall and I can get in and out with no problem and I actually enjoy driving it. This car only take like 15-20 dollars to fill up depending on gas price but will go approximately 330 miles on that tank great economic car and comfortable and fun to drive

D Comz Thanks, I did drive one last saturday and loved it! Not sure if Im ready to trade my Mini Cooper on one yet though. Id really rather have a manual transmission on the SR. I hear the Versa is reliable and even good in snow.
Despite some negative reviews I have read online (slow acceleration and cheap interior), I was very impressed by the Nissan note that I recently rented in Miami (2018). I'm not sure what sort of performance and luxury some people are expecting from a low-cost subcompact car, but we had 4 average-sized adults in it, plus luggage, and I was impressed by the acceleration (even with AC running!) for a subcompact car. I easily kept up with traffic on the freeways and highways, AND it was getting over 35 MPG. I could hardly believe it! Nissan itself has a very good reputation for quality, therefore I would not hesitate to buy one of these for transportation and everyday commuting.
I rented a 2015 Nissan Note for 5 days here in Ontario. Drove it long distance on the highway as well as locally in my area (Cambridge, Ontario.) Very impressed. I was really surprised at how well it handled! Gas pedal was very responsive - peppy little car. Steering was also easy and responsive! The 1.6 4 cylinder really buzzed on the highway, but I actually like that in a car. It gives it character. Silent cars are boring! It should also be "noted" that the rental I drove was the exact model shown here in this video. It also had more than 360,000 KM's and still going strong and trouble-free! NO LIE! When I questioned the high mileage, the guy at the car rental place said this Nissan Note had travelled from Ontario to various places in the States 4 times and had also been driven across Canada! AWESOME little car! I highly recommend it.
I agree, I rented this car for 2 days and really enjoyed it. I thought it was among the best steering feel cars out there even compared to sporty cars. Its so light and accurate. Every time I rent a car now I request this car.

Always coming back to this car because I'm really considering it. I've watched this review 3 times now. lol I'm looking for a daily driver so I can keep my 350z in the garage to modify/keep pretty. These have so much value for the price, i'm cross shopping this between the toyota yaris/prius C and the Scion TC.
When it comes to shopping in sub compact category, its best you shop within 16K range i.e Nissan Versa Note SV trim as you get the best car for your dollars. Upgrading it to SR/ SL trims, takes you near 19K -20 K which is compact car territory. You can get base trims of Sentra, Corrola, Civic etc in that money. And this is one of the main reason why versa outsells honda fit, cost of fit somewhere overlaps with Civic, corrola, sentra. So, even though Fit is the best sub compact, its not priced aggressively. Also one needs to understand the target buyer/ crowd for the cars. Versa and Fit are not targeted to the same set of people. This is reflected in their strategies, pricing, options in car, car build etc.
Rather have a Mitsubishi Mirage with a better programmed Jatco CVT7 transmission. Both companies use it but Mitsu engineers mated theirs with much lower torque, curb weight of,2100lbs, and a 1.2 3 cylinder with only 74 hp. Way easier on the lil cvt.
We mentioned in the beginning of the review that the sub-compact class slots below the compact class which are vehicles like the Civic, Corolla, and Focus.
I have been renting one with less than 2000 miles on it from Enterprise for the past week, I had to find somewhere to tell people that even with the defroster blowing with A/C button pressed in cold central PA I have steamy and actual ice on the back seat windows even after driving for many hours. I called to re-up on the rental for another few days and told the rental agent of this odd problem and he told me in this cold 10's -20's weather all cars do that, well I have a 2001 beetle tdi, 1995 W/T 1500 PU and a '67 Barracuda and all defrost in any temp, this car has a defect, rent before you buy and see what I mean, the frost became dangerous it as so bad
hi, i have nissan note verso 2016, sv, bought in america, i live in ukraine, tell me how to change the speed from mile to kilometers on the dashboard, and the air temperature from faringates to celsius. thanks
Just rented a Nissan Versa Note last week. This is a great handling FWD vehicle and it is a fantastic package - tiny 'footprint' w/huge interior. Friends who road in back couldn't believe the leg & headroom in such a small car. Negatives: 1) The brakes SUCK!!! Not very safe in that area, and 2) Grossly underpowered - it's a shame such a great handling vehicle is woefully underpowered. Needs about 50 more (Or MORE) HP to get the job done right. One last thing, how about a 6 spd. manual for each trim level. Come on NISSAN, you guys are supposed to be more exciting than Toyota!!!
holly hell thats expensive for a subcompact, i can go out right now and buy a lightly used volvo s60 for that kind of money! much better car than that tin can
HEY EVERYBODY: IF YOU HATE CVTs like I do, then go and buy yourself a Nissan Micra with a 4-speed automatic instead. Its basically EXACTLY LIKE THE VERSA NOTE, just a bit of a different body style, that's it. Plus its a few $ Thousand dollars cheaper too. I love the old-school automatic transmissions with gears instead of CVTs so I'd get the Micra instead of the Versa-Note.
Absolutely. CVTs are financial time bombs, which can't be repaired, but only replaced, at HIGH cost. I like this car, but would only buy it with a manual transmission. Or a conventional torque converter planetary gear box. But it is not offered with one of those, unfortunately.
I haven't seen other comments but the stereo you are using actually isn't touch screen. the touch screen looks just slightly different sorry to inform you.
Think its a bit of an overblown issue. In these social media times, if someone experienced a problem with their car 20 years ago, people continue to talk about it and confirm each other, how bad this or that is. Also many people dont like the way, a CVT feel to drive, which can easily translate into an emotional opinion, that its unreliable.
It really depends on what you're looking for. The Corolla is about 18 inches longer than the Versa Note (and even longer than most other subcompacts), and not everyone wants a car that big.
I don't think that's the point. People who are looking for great mpg and price will look at versa, mazda2, fit, Rio, all of the subcompacts. They are in different class than corolla.
Great video, the car is quite a good choice now that the new Fit is actually more expensive than the Civic. Oh, and hey Sofyan, congrats on the new dealership, which is actually my local Nissan/Acura dealership.
It is very fun to drive and makes you feel fast in manual if you rev it over 4000rpm for all the gears. The clutch is weird and makes the car shake even though i am not stalling or revving it at start.

At 8:20 --- your comment about the back seats not being flat when fold down is not incorrect. The bottom divider which Nissan markets it as a "Divide-N-Hide Adjustable Floor" was in the lower position when your video was shot. If you set the divider in the upper position, the trunk floor and the back seats will be on the same level and would be flat just like any normal car. In your video, there is clearly a set of grooves for the bottom divider mechanism. I like your video review but please pay close attention to details and the materials given by Nissan or there will be some unfair comparison/incorrect information being delivered to the audience. Nowadays, people rely on true and honest reviews of any products. Keep up the work...
alau0115 Thank you for saying this, I was wondering about this and liked that the Fit seats went flat down. Glad to know in the Note they do as well. Thanks.
I have 2015 honda fit. The drivers seat is poorly designed and there is no armrest. The center console is too low. I am having back pain and planning on trading it. For comuting the versa is better in terms of support but it is less powerful than the fit.
I dont't like the Fit either, something about the interior feels off. The console height and seat does not make for a connected feel. I like the older Honda Fits much better. Oh yeah, I think the Note is a great little car. A joy to drive.
cbr9927 in my opinion. The new fit is built for smaller body frame and moslty for women. I like the armest if Note. I hope Nissan brings the Note Nismo. Lol. I would definitely buy that. Even the HRV is the same. I normally replace my vehicle every 1 to 1.5 year and I like the new Armada, new Civic Hatch and outgoing Accord Special Edition.
first of all this is not the true hatchback version for the versa or tiida which is it's correct name, unfortunately the actually hatchback verison is not sold here, instead nissan brings over the Note which is a different car from the versa/Tiida and selling it has a version of the versa but its not, it a Nissan Note.
I wasn't clear below, I want to say all windows were steamed up, the front window was clear 3/4 up the windshield and all other windows were fogged out majorly, I did find that cracking a window a little did clear them up but had to have heat full blast blowing defrost to keep warm which is not relaxing, I rent all kinds of cars and this one is brand spanking new so probably will happen with all new ones
Hey Sofyan, nice review. I'm looking into purchasing my first car and I'm looking at new vehicles mainly because I'd be looking at a lease. More than likely I'll be browsing to get the best deal I can find on any certain vehicle. I'm not specific about any particular class of cars, I just need a car to get me from point A to point B in comfort (and to not have to walk everywhere). I have taken the Versa sedan and Versa Note into consideration. I was wondering if you ever have the opportunity, would you be able to do a review on a few specific vehicles? I have a list of which I would like to see reviews on if possible. Toyota Corolla/Yaris Honda Fit (2015) Mazda2 and/or Mazda5 (also looking into Mazda3) Jeep Renegade (once released) Nissan Cube/Juke Kia Forte I have many other cars in mind to browse, but these are just some of the ones that I'd like to see first-person, in-depth reviews on as you do typically quite well. Thank you for your time.
Well I bought the 2015 Nissan versa sedan and I love it the price was great and the car is roomy and saves us so much gas saves more then my previous Toyota so if your looking for a nice car and you don't wana spend up to 30,000 you should get this car or a Nissan versa sedan it's better then my brothers Ford fiesta he's a big dude and he cannot even fit in that car he paid way more then me and I got the same stuff he did besides leather seats which I wouldn't want anyways because when it gets to hot or too cold you feel it in the seats which I personally hate.. my bf is a big dude to and we have the versa and we love it we made a great choice and is so affordable compared to other cars we've seen where you basically get the same stuff. My recommendation perfect car for friends family and commuting.
Please review the new Fit and try to do the LX base model or the EX model at most. Too many other reviews have done the EX-L (leather model) which isn't going to be the model of choice that buyers will go for.
Thanks But NO THANKS!! 3 star safety rating is a HUGE turn off for me. Kind of sad they also sacrificed Side Impact Airbags on the Note, big no no for me...
Sit in the front if you're tall, and you'll hate it. The driving position is horrific, and the only thing that would help is a TELESCOPING steering wheel instead of just tilting NISSAN... However, sit in the back seat of this car, and you'll love it. Its unbelievable how roomy Nissan makes there small cars!
My friend had me help her last night with buying a Hyundai cause her versa had transmission failure at 80k. 4k to replace the transmission, just not worth it. Cute but shitty cars.
they absolutely ruined the looks of this car. The older models looked much nicer. I hate the new sculpted sides. It makes the car look "hokey & mental"
I have had my Cube for half a year now, tremendous space feeling with headroom good enough for NBA players. The power is completely fine for intended purposes, I have no issues since I am not a fast driver out there. The gas MPG is around 22-27 overall.
@@cocmaster4474 Nissan has multiple lawsuits out against it right now for putting faulty transmissions in their vehicles. They lost a big one that forced them to extend the drivetrain warranty, thats how bad its gotten at Nissan. Sad, they were a great manufacturer, but are now more French, than Japanese.
@@kylemas2005 it's the CVT's and not all model, it depends which year and model you buy... My mom bought her note in 2008 and it still operates as if it was a brand new car.
@@cocmaster4474 All am saying is the Mirage uses the exact same JATCO CVT7, but there is hardly any record of premature transmission failure after 5 years and 100k units sold. The theory is the Mirage has a much lower curb weight, muss less hp and torque, meaning less taxiation of the CVT7. Im glad your Mom's Versa is holding up. As you said, it depends on year, model etc, most owners are content with their Versas.
This looks like Nissan just copied the Honda Fit Sport.... the exterior styling, the gauges, and the dual glovebox are all basically copied off my 2011 Fit Sport.

Thanks.
Are you going to be doing a review on the 2015 Fit soon?
Great review
I am a nissan fan love it as a gift is very sleek.
Has pretty good handling, but I prefer my volvo c70 honestly. Only driving this atm as a spare while my car is in the shop.
I have 2015 honda fit. The drivers seat is poorly designed and there is no armrest. The center console is too low.
I am having back pain and planning on trading it.
For comuting the versa is better in terms of support but it is less powerful than the fit.
Milford Civic bapu such
+Paul Ramos The Fit is not fit for me. Verso note is better and I have hover mode.
***** still, there is an option. The fit foes not.
I normally replace my vehicle every 1 to 1.5 year and I like the new Armada, new Civic Hatch and outgoing Accord Special Edition.
at the SL trim level they do offer headed seats, but just not leather.
this will get you from point A to B i would buy it
first of all this is not the true hatchback version for the versa or tiida which is it's correct name, unfortunately the actually hatchback verison is not sold here, instead nissan brings over the Note which is a different car from the versa/Tiida and selling it has a version of the versa but its not, it a Nissan Note.
Car companies really need to stop making "sporty" appearance packages that don't add anything under the hood in terms of horsepower or torque.
I wasn't clear below, I want to say all windows were steamed up, the front window was clear 3/4 up the windshield and all other windows were fogged out majorly, I did find that cracking a window a little did clear them up but had to have heat full blast blowing defrost to keep warm which is not relaxing, I rent all kinds of cars and this one is brand spanking new so probably will happen with all new ones
never had this problem with mine even with temps down to low 30's
Matty G Switch from recirc to the outside air. That most likely is your issue.
How is the Versa in the snow?
Should be offered with a manual option.
First comment💯
Great Review 👏

I guess this is a car where you can comfortably take note from school. They should had called it Tiida which sound better than being called Versa.
Nice Review Of 2015 Versa Note SR. 😁
Have you ever reviewed the dodge caravan ? I'm very interested in it
The jdm cars come with a supercharged 1.2L 3 cylinder. I wonder why they don't bring it here?
You should have noted that Versa Note SL trim does have push button start
He did mention that.
buildmorefarms100 Thanks for correcting:)
Toyota Corolla/Yaris
Honda Fit (2015)
Mazda2 and/or Mazda5 (also looking into Mazda3)
Jeep Renegade (once released)
Nissan Cube/Juke
Kia Forte
I have many other cars in mind to browse, but these are just some of the ones that I'd like to see first-person, in-depth reviews on as you do typically quite well. Thank you for your time.
Sofyan seldom answers questions...
What size is the engine
how does the car handle in the snow?
I live in Tennessee and I was worried about it but it handles amazing..... I did not have a problem
Alma is the versa good in the snow? How is the handling? What mpg avg are you getting? Thanks!
Please review the new Fit and try to do the LX base model or the EX model at most. Too many other reviews have done the EX-L (leather model) which isn't going to be the model of choice that buyers will go for.
Is that Charlottesville, VA?
I own a dodge avenger R/T lol it has more power 3.6 liter V6 cx but this would be.good work car :)
Im tall and I sat in it and LOVED it!
Can you make a review of the Nissan Versa note SL?
I think it looks great but i would pay more for a hundai sonata
How does nissan compare to honda in reliability?
All Nissans have timing chains, so that is a big plus for reliability.
Can you review 2015 Honda Fit.
My friend had me help her last night with buying a Hyundai cause her versa had transmission failure at 80k. 4k to replace the transmission, just not worth it. Cute but shitty cars.
Put the 2 front seats all the way back then see how much leg room the back seat has.. no one ever shows that. Not everyone is 5ft 2in tall
with the seats all the way back still plenty of leg room in the back
+D Comz. thank you
The back seat area is HUGE
Can u get a navigation app?
they absolutely ruined the looks of this car. The older models looked much nicer. I hate the new sculpted sides. It makes the car look "hokey & mental"
The wheels look kind of like the 2013 civic EX.
Wth. Looks like a cheaper 2015 Honda Fit.
Versa note or sentra no sunroof versa but the room ahhhh...
Can you review a Nissan Cube
I have had my Cube for half a year now, tremendous space feeling with headroom good enough for NBA players. The power is completely fine for intended purposes, I have no issues since I am not a fast driver out there. The gas MPG is around 22-27 overall.
Nissan Pube.
At 10:25 looks like you will crash with the truck.
I like the Fit much better.
We have both and the Fit is definitely the better car.
@@michaeldillon1027 my mom actually wound up buying a Honda HRV 2018 she bought it new. She hasn't had a single problem with it.
Nice!
Nah, Ill take my Mitsubishi Mirage over this any day. More reliable.
*More unreliable
