  • Welcome back to the thrilling continuation of our Weekend Warriors adventure! In this episode, we pick up where we left off, tackling the remaining challenge from our previous video. Join me as we dive headfirst into the daunting task of extracting firewood from the massive stumps of two towering fir trees.
Using our expertise and trusty chainsaws, we meticulously work our way through the massive trunks, making over 150 cuts to bring all the wood down to the ground. Witness the sheer determination and perseverance it takes to turn these monumental stumps into valuable firewood, one piece at a time.
As we embark on this firewood extraction journey, we also take a moment to appreciate the sheer quantity of wood concealed within these majestic trees. It's a testament to the incredible natural resources they provide.
Join us on this Day 2 adventure of the Weekend Warriors series and be amazed by the bountiful firewood we uncover from these two magnificent fir trees. Don't forget to like, subscribe, and hit the notification bell to stay tuned for more exciting arborist adventures to come!

24:15 is priceless, never stop having the mentality of training and teaching. You saw that he wanted to try the "Fancy" saw and you provided him an opportunity that he might have never had. Then to top it off, you took some time to teach, again, PRICELESS. This is a type of work ethic that we all need to strive for.

I was trying to comment without my glasses and accidentally hit the thumbs down. Mad respect for sharing your prayer with us. Thank you. Amazing how God calls us. Have been contemplating starting my own service. How does a guy start? Can it be a serious weekend job at first? So many questions.🙏🏼. Praise Jesus!

Just an observation, Ground crew should look into getting pick/hookaroons. Help save your back and yard rounds a lot easier. One of the best tools I’ve ever bought for firewood.

I'm a chick. I just bought a house and researching everything that needs to be done, like tree cutting. So I can understand every project beforehand and communicate like I'm an expert lol. I've never ever watched a video like this. But now I wanna be an arborist 😂.
But really, I will definitely tip these amazing guys generously.

Impressive work. I could never work up so high. Those working in their gardens always check local rules eg where I live (conservation area) even if a particular tree does not have a Tree Preservation Order on it we have to give 6 weeks notice to the council before doing tree work which is then published to give time for objections and if none then can take it out.

From an old guy. If you lead the cut with the bottom of the chain,,, normal,, the chain clears all the chips out and then when you finish to cut the weight of the wood settles on to the bar and chain. BUT If you cut with the top of the bar when chunking it,, particularly when the chunks begin to be of size and weight,, the sawdust packs the cut,, and the chunk sits on the sawdust,, not the bar and chain. When the chunks get large, cut it backwards. Saves having to lever the bar and chain out from under the chunk.

From a production and manufacturing background, the quickest way would be to chunk them into 3-4’ sections on a plastic sled (jet sleds=OP) can stack 4-5 big ones on their and move it w a soft tired quad or mini track machine to haul them to the chipper, a chipper w a claw to grab them off the sled would be 💰

@@GuiltyofTreeson so far so good but rather be cutting but our regulations are so extreme.
because i have yr's of cutting experience an knowledge but i don't have any certifications and without them very few people will chance it witch i understand but its so expensive to get certified is the problem that im facing.

5:50 While that is very true for jobs, where you have to carry everything by hand and therefore cut it small. But as soon as you add machinery into the system I think taking pieces as big as possible really speeds things up. I then rather have a few people stand around, than everybody working their ass off.. As I said: for the scenario that this job shows your approach is probably the best:) Great video!
