Best Advice for who is looking for one have al least 10-15k on top of what you are paying for ther car this cars are awesome but are cars for grown ups with money not for broke crying kids that work in McDonald's that rather spend money on I phone 10s. This cars are and will go up in values do to most of them are trashed and they are becoming very rare..
Very true took me a few years and over $20k in parts to build my b7 s4 w built 82mm bore je. 2.7t full custom tubular manifolds but I worked for many companies doing fabrication fabrication.stasis engineering and eurojet to name a few…fyi Blake is good but won't go for power numbers I bet you stay at 25psi if you just plan n 93
Such a clean noggy. Recently picked up a stage 3 rs6r noggy and that’s also my plan when i inevitably have to pull the motor. Throw rods and do a single turbo. My 17z kit should be here Wednesday.
I went to the Eurofed in Charlotte for my B5 S4 and did not get good results for my car issues. Came close to selling it but found a small shop out of town that does great work.
I bought one a couple months ago. Jhm rs6 turbos on e85 and I’m also nervous but I really enjoy driving it and I think that trumps any potential issues. I’ve had issues with all my cars and trucks so it kind of is what it is. I love older vehicles so it kind of comes with the territory tbh. But once you spend enough money on them replacing everything that’s 20+ years old it’s almost like a new car lol. I’ve spent so much money on vehicles it’s not even funny.

Stay with RS6s single turbo cars do have more problems plus RS6s on E85 or race gas are amazing

The stock blocks will take close to 600 if youre nice to them, my motor used to have tial 770s at 29psi with 270,000 miles
I had my B5 1.8T for over 10 years, you definitely have to be mechanically inclined to keep them on the road.
those are way easier than the s4

Both 2.8 and 2.7 valves were sodium filled. Reason for valve swap is keeper groove location for different spring rates.
The 2.7 are lower on the valve stem which allows for a slightly more compressed valve spring.

Also ironically my rs6r turbos don’t spool until just before 5k either. So I’m not going to be missing much going STk.
You need full 3" downpipes and at least dual 2.5" exhaust or 3.5" you should see full boost by 4k other people claim 36-38k

you should upgrade your exhaust valves, oem dont like a lot of heat with LC, AL etc
