    My favorite mission in, I think armor core 5, was a mission where you had to run a blockade of ships to destroy a vulnerable target behind the blockade. The mission starts with you having giant rockets strapped to your back flying at insane speed dodging incoming fire from the blockade ships. The rockets break away once you reach your target. The best part? You could boost while the rockets are firing to go even faster! So if you refit your mech for max boost you can S rank the mission because you reach the target insanely fast.

    One of the many contributing factors of this game's monetization-free customization is probably the fact that Fromsoft prioritized the single player experience over milking people's money by giving us a properly finished game complete with all of its contents.

    • @lesslighter
      @lesslighter ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Armored core 6 is amazing. It looks great runs great and its chalk full of action. Pvp wasnt available for review copies. And its not supposed to be a elden ring open world game. Its okay that ac6 is its own game people. The levels are pretty big sometime huge. Its a mission based game. Thats what it is. Its not supposed to be elden ring with mechs. Cant stand when people expect a dark souls game just because its fromsoftware. Belive it or not armored core was its first real big hit franchise. They know what their doing. The game is exactly what it should be. Expect the average play thru to be 50+ hours. Along with pvp and arena mode and dint forget to play the training missions. You get free mech parts for doing them. More ate added as you play thru the game with most coming in chapter 1 and 2. And explore the maps cause there is hidden mini bosses and hidden mech parts. So use your scanners alot to locate them. Hope to see you all in the battlefields.. and if i see you in pvp....good luck Ravens!

  • @kobrraful

    to touch on that NG+ aspect towards the end, this game was meant to be played in NG+ as more missions open up, from what I've heard as far back at NG+5, idk if this includes additional bosses, but more missions overall open up each tier it seems. if its like Elden Ring, it'll stop at or around +7 (I believe the previous souls titles from them also stopped at 7?). something to keep in mind for anyone who was wondering if there was a point to doing NG+ after beating the story

    • @christopherlyndsay8611
      @christopherlyndsay8611 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @lesslighter
      @lesslighter ปีที่แล้ว

      You basically have to NG+3 the game to get all endings but due to the entire mission structure you will have to revisit 1 ending for a couple of times but by then you should be more than prepared to steam roll the game to get to the branching point granted it isnt like Last Raven....

The subsequent playthroughs give so much more insight and alternative missions are a ton of fun.

    Environments matter in these boss fights, such as Sea Spider. Also length of attack time as well as possibly a fixed length of attack distance, leap or area. Often times with Sea Spider, I was hitting one of his blades before one of his slam attacks were completing. So proper area positioning for being able to fully clear the full length of an attack matters.

    I think the graphics needed to be the way they are to offer bigger mission areas and more action. More missiles can take flight, with more targets to shoot, and more destructible objects in the environment, all with no frame drop, slow down, or stutter. It runs smooth on older computers, it runs perfect on newer ones, and the action is total madness during some boss fights. Some are criticizing Monster Hunter Wild trailers for looking like an older engine, but nobody commented on the huge herds of monsters in the game or how smooth it ran.
    The irony here is that only the only ones complaining are the ones who bought a 4090.

    I described Armored Core VI to a friend as a "game-ass game". It's a strange thing to have a game you can drop in and out of with ease these days. So many games seem to demand your attention and time. I have plenty of both but it's nice that there's a game I can just hop into, run a mission, hop out. Even if you fail the mission, it's still a lot of fun. It feels like a game from a bygone era. The easiest way I can describe this is Super Mario Bros. on the NES. You can pop that on, race through a level and then... go play frisbee. Equally you can stay up well past your bedtime trying to perfect a boss fight. And the game punishes you not a jot.
    I can't think of a game that was this easy going. From delivered a game and said, "here's a toy, play with it."

    I wish that this brings back new mech games, not only by From Soft, but other studios, and if FS continues to develop new ACs, hope in ACVII we have the ability to do mission in coop, assemble a lobby in the mission selector, and go in together, maybe they even add this to the game. It will make some boss fights easier, yeah, but this was never a problem in the souls games, shouldn't be a problem here either, the amount of fun would be a lot.

    • @lesslighter
      @lesslighter ปีที่แล้ว

      The fact they scrapped Co-op from ACfA and ACV-VD was most likely a compromise, they want new blood in a very old franchise so they had to "stick" with the most legacy of mechanics baked in the franchise basically they made 9 years worth of soulsborne games and 1 AC game (ACVD is nearly 10 years old) just to get peoples eyes glued on them for the game the company was known for mech games (ACE, Frame Gride, Armored Core, Murakumo, MWC, Gundam Unicorn, Steel Battalion 2 yes yes.... I know it sucks, Chromehounds)
      And a spiritual successor in the form of Daemon x Machina the fact the second game is also announced means yes...

    Dont worry as far as everything is concerned VD's servers are still up 10 years later however the american servers are effectively "dead" as everyone decided to migrate to the JP servers hosted by From Soft. There may not be an official tourney circuit now unlike back in the day but MAYBE just MAYBE From Soft might redabble back into hosting AC tourneys like they did back in late 2000s with Last Raven

    From what I've seen the game is very polished but has a very narrow scope. It looks they spend most of the development time refining and perfecting the feel of the combat. Thus leaving very little time to construct the content.
    So they went with an early 2000 on rails very structured mission system. Games like this benefit greatly from post launch content expansions.

    With the release of thisv great game, I want to give a shoutout to many Armored Core content creators, because they deserve a lot of love for their efforts after all the years and specially since this franchise will get more popular (this includes Iron Pinneapple, Oroboro, Zentreya, Fightincowboy and VaatiVidya):

    • @Bulsara777
      @Bulsara777 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      hmm don't think a battle royale would fit the theme because battle royale is supposed to be random, everyone flying to the map to get loot and arm themselves, an extraction mode like Tarkov or Hunt Showdown would be better, since these modes you prepare your party beforehand and go in against other teams with similar objectives. ACVI already has factions and a resource these factions are fighting for. If we don't see this done by FromSoftware, you can bet your ass someone will do it now that the mech genre is starting to pick up steam again.

    • @alenfishman9365
      @alenfishman9365 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Bulsara777 ehhh, tarkov would be hard. Cuz it would be interesting to see how they would ballance someone just spending a shit ton on a good mech then just wiping groups. Or, if it's balanced, no matter how strong your mech is, a 2v1 or 3v1 wins. But I would love to see it. I think for simplicity, a BR would be fun, just find random gear and go with it.

    One of my only gripes with the game, is there’s too many AC bosses imo. Obviously all life is dead or whatever, but I’d have loved one good creature monster boss. Another gripe is too many snow and rock environments. You only went to the desert for the one mission. Other than that, game was fantastic, absolutely amazing.
