I have been dealing with COPD since 2009 been on oxygen since 2014 and now using oxygen everyplace I go. I'm only 49yr I thank God for these videos. It helps me cope because these people are my heroes. Thanks for posting. ✝️😇
I'm in my 30's with a heart condition and I totally get it when you have to carry around an oxygen supply around. Although most of the time I'd feel fine and even gave it a fun name, I sometimes felt like I was sticking out like a sore thumb and that I was less than, even though fellow Church members treated me like anyone else. I'll admit, it can feel like you're an outsider at times, but I am grateful for knowing that I'm not the only one.
This film deserves the widest dissemination possible. It is still too rare to see patients be given the time and right contextual environment to fully express feelings of fear, anxiety, self-consciousness in relation to medical treatment and aids. The use of ambulatory oxygen is indeed, as so well expressed by the participants in this short film, a life saver and not just for COPD sufferers but for all those with long term respiratory conditions. This short is a “gem”! This film deserves the widest dissemination possible. Very good film. I have recently tried swimming. I have copd and am on oxygen level 4, so l take my machine and put it by the steps. Every 2nd length l stop and put the oxygen on and wait for the level to reach 95, and then carry on for another 2 lengths. The breathing goes down to 88. The last test l had done they said my copd hasn't deteriorated since last Oct so the swimming has helped strengthen my lungs. I know it will deteriorate but l plan to take 2 tanks of oxygen swimming and leave one at each end of the swimming pool so l can carry on as long as possible.😊
You guys are really very very strong. After watching this video I cry my self because when my son born in hospital doctors said my kid need 24 hours oxygen but thanks god now he can breath him self natural way.
Thank you for this film it lets us know we are not alone in this dreaded disease…may God bless you and I’ll you with His peace, grace and mercy!!!🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️✝️🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
When I went on oxygen 24/7 last year I could find no books by a user. Something I so needed. I guess it had a positive result because I ended up writing one, Now I find this video, and relate very much to what the lady in the red top said. Some people do look at you as though your are going to give them the plague. Shop assistants ignoring me when I first went out was something I too had to deal with. However, today I received a phone call from someone I know, slightly... and she said "you are such an inspiration." I didn't notice, but hope I can continue to be.
I have been dealing with it for three years now. I will always need it, but I don't want it. People look at me because I look rather young for 57, butter equate oxygen use with fragile older People and that's not me at all.. I do mostly what I want as long as I have it I'm ok.. 😌 I have felt every feeling in these comments. Thank you for sharing. God bless!
I would be 47 on January 5th, but I feel that I can't anymore with COPD, pulmonary emphysema and pleural fibrosis plus ankylosing spondylitis, I have std 3, 4 and 2 small children, a 12-year-old boy, a half-year-old boy, and a 10-year-old boy
I had open heart at age 19 now as I have aged just like my surgeon told me every single word he said manifested because he knew the outcome he was a cardiothoracic surgeon. I’m sure all of you have gotten the same spiel I that but here we are years later and we’re very frustrated and it is very frustrating when you can’t read and you look normal but nobody understands how you feel on the inside so I would start listening to David Goggins and listen to him every day and say fuck the world. And you sir don’t you worry about nothing you’re doing a great job very great job and your video has inspired millions around the world and I wanted you to know that. And most importantly I know I told you about David Goggins but David Goggins and myself believe very strongly in God and Jesus as our Lord and Savior prayer is very effective against your enemies against people that lie on you they don’t understand your disease process you are not alone and if anybody bullies you contact me.
can you help me getting one of this oxygen concentrator for my grandma shes (PWD) cant talk cant hear have blurry eyes and cant walk strongly i dont have money to help her i will send you anything you need to know please i need some help
Thank you for posting these videos I’ve only recently gone on oxygen when. I move levels drop drastically , the showering with nose cannulas unsure if ok to do ? Other maybe stupid notion I had if don’t use oxygen too much so not get addicted to using it 🙄 all is strange and a worry at moment but got to stage I cannot move about showering was a trauma it took that much out of me took ages to do , I had to agree to oxygen felt like I’d given in stupid notion any tips would be welcome 👍🏻😊
Man I needed to see this video I've been on oxygen for 6 months I thought it was me not wanting to go out and staying away from everyone go to hear other people's perspective on it thanks
It is so good to see such a positive, informative and reassuring video featuring COPD patients - something that has been long overdue! Between them Joan 'The Explorer', Asmodeen 'The Pro', and Roger 'Rocket' give an honest picture of what it is like to become an 02 user - and as each allows us a brief glimpse into their everyday lives we see that COPD'ers on 02 can still lead active and fulfilling lives. Love it! Congratulations to all involved, from Vanessa 'The Adventurer'
My mother is on oxygen. This year will be her 3rd year on it.l thank God that she can use have it,she may not have been here at all had it not been for the oxygen. I Pray all the time for her ,until God see, better for her l' m Thankful
Overall, what matters the most is that they are getting by and doing the things they do best in their daily lives. I love that they don’t care what anyone says. It’s not like they have a choice not to take the oxygen with them
This video was often. I have sarcoidosis in so many organs. I'm now placed on bipap machine with oxygen concentrator. I have very bad anxiety and major depression. This is very overwhelming 😪
I hope somebody will organise for copd patients to visit schools to educate the children. The children cannot protect themselves from passive smoke and air pollutants if they do not know. They would be able to say no from peer pressure if they understand the severity of lung disease.
It's sad how insecurities of others instead of praying for you they stare I wouldn't wish this on no one I too have COPD ASTHMA ITS NO JOKE IM ON OXYGEN TOO I HATE IT. WHEN YOU CATCHES CHEST PAIN CAUSE YOUR AIRWAVE GET TIGHT IT HURT SO BADLY AT TIMES THEN YOU GET ANXIETY WITH IT MAKES IT WORSE PRAY 🙏 FOR ALL OF US

Hard to watch, since it's 'me' now who needs oxygen. I think I'm rejecting it somehow because I feel like maybe it's not working. I hope that feeling will pass.
I quit using mine. It was just too hard to keep up with it and a baby after my husband died. I think my body has somehow adapted. I have a lot more red blood cells than everybody else.
My brother has been using oxygen for the past 3 years, he uses the big cylinder with witch he can not go out, i wish i can afford this backpack oxygen for him so that he can go to the park
You will be so glad it helps you breathe , it is a struggle and it gets you down but you will be glad of the oxygen really , good thoughts coming g your way
