Nate Dogg really was an underrated artist and a big part of the soundtrack to my youth. I have so many good time memories with his smooth vocals blasting in the background.
I just fought back tears upon hearing about the good deeds done to give Terry Burnham a final resting place and marker. What a beautiful thing. I love Twilight Zone, and she was perfect in that role. RIP little Markie. ❤
Oh Arthur, just so you know, my dad - who died in 1974 at the young age of 45 from lung cancer - is buried at Forest Lawn Sunnyside. I was not even aware there were that many notable people buried there. The only one I was aware of was a former California Governor - whose name I can't recall - is in the mausoleum. But I'm so glad that Long Beach got recognized. It's about time.

@@jimmorrison3756 Hello Jim, thank you for your kind wishes. I'm originally from Manchester, by way of Ireland. The Famine had My Ancestors migrated in the mid 1800's.
Your high production value is greatly appreciated! One can tell you put a great deal of work and pride into your videos! Well done Arthur...and thank you!
I remember hearing Jenny singing in clubs all over LA. She loves Long Beach. She always said she was going to be buried there. She grew up there and love it as she called it her Playa Larga
I used to watch her reality show. She was so sweet and her family was very close. I felt so bad for her little boy. I used to practice listening to Spanish conversation because they would talk half and half! :)
Oh my gosh, so many memories as I worked at both of these places. You featured my clip of Earl Daughtery on the final viewer collaboration. Also there is Richard Loynes, a famed LB speed boat racer in Sunnyside Mausoleum who died in a speedboat race. Sunnyside Mausoleum is my favorite mausoleum, next Mountain View in Altadena. I was working at All Souls when Nate Dogg died, but I was still stuck in the happenings across the street. I was driving a procession for another funeral, and someone cut through it and drove along side my hearse thinking it was Nate Dogg, hoping to get a peek at his casket. Then we had to go across to FLLB to pick up a decedent, but couldn't get on the premises as they were having his commital service. There were helicopters and security all over, street closures as well. I did manage to drive by and snap a very blurry pic. Jenni Rivera died shortly after I left All Souls, and she was picked up from the airport in my favorite hearse. For a while you couldn't even walk past her grave without security popping out to make sure you weren't trying to be nosy. When i was employed there, that particular section was under construction and the perfect place to hide for a smoke break. Quick fact...a man shot himself in the ground floor of Sunnyside Mausoleum, when i was there in the early 2000's, in front of his grandmother's crypt, who also committed suicide decades before. I still get the creeps when I wander down there.
I hate thinking about my own mortality, and you would think the opposite of what I'm gonna say, but your videos are not only interesting, the calm me in a way and make coming to terms with mortality a slightly less scary thought...so thank you, love the channel
I totally agree 👍 I feel the same way about my own mortality but, as you said, watching Arthur's vlogs & his calming voice along with the beautifully serene cemeteries, have made me a bit calmer about it.
Add me to the list! I just turned 44 in December and I’ll say straight up I’ve been terrified of death my whole life. Not so much of actually dying but what happens after. All the death industry stuff freaks me out-can’t get near a coffin without heart racing and sweating, don’t get me started on hearses! 4 years ago I had what turned out to be a non life threatening health issue so I suddenly had a LOT of time on my hands! I kind of stumbled on this channel out of boredom-at first I thought no way, this is just asking for nightmares! I reconsidered and decided I’d try one episode and I could always stop if I felt uncomfortable which was what I honestly expected to happen. I not only got through the episode, I was gobsmacked floored at the end. Arthur’s respect and honor to all these celebrities lives is incredible. The production values are fantastic too. Watching it I wasn’t scared at all which was a huge surprise to me-learning more about these celebrities lives was interesting to me. And like the rest of you said there was a strange calming watching it which I didn’t see coming at all. I consider very few TH-cam channels to be good, worthwhile content-Arthur’s work is one of those very few. Needless to say I subscribed after that video and have seen most of the content produced since! At the very least he deserves an award for his outstanding work. This would honestly work very well as a TV show but I think it’s better off here on TH-cam where everyone can enjoy and appreciate Arthur’s hard work!
Thank you for covering Long Beach, my adopted hometown. I have family, friends, and loved ones buried at Forest Lawn Sunnyside. Such a beautiful and peaceful place.
My absolute favorite TH-cam channel. Always interesting and entertaining. Thank you for featuring Terry Burnham. I've been to her grave and the staff told me she has many visitors.

How very sad that there are unmarked graves among these folks. Every living soul should be honored for making it through this thing called life. Thank you for being the keeper of memories, Art.
That thought also passed through my mind. Maybe after 50 years pass they should put a plain name and dates marker on all the ones that are unmarked just so people generations from now on Ancestry can find their people. It is so sad to let all that history go.
@@bunnymomjulie6719 maybe they didn’t want a marker. Even after 50 years no one should go against the wishes of the deceased. The people who matter to them know where they are buried. It’s no one else’s business.
@@Musicchick60 It would be nice if that were the case, but you might be surprised at how much not "going by the wishes" goes on. Some people don't spend any time at the cemetery, forget, or don't want to be bothered or spend the money. Or maybe everyone is gone already and there's no one to do it. It's like all the empty plots that lie waste because the other person remarried, left the area, or just changed their mind. Or the unclaimed cremated remains that lie on a basement shelf for all eternity. Whatever reason, after those "people who mattered to them" are all gone, plain labels should be put in place for history. Death notices are public information.
