Dam I still remember playing this game around mid-late 2000's on the psp, as an adolescent heading into my teenage years. Good memories I remember I would go to school at the time with this theme stuck in my head at middle school due to playing this game 24/7.
After the second quarantine wave it was almost summer and I was all depressed and lost,I didn’t have touch with my friends or other family members, just me my mom my dad and my dog.Anyway, there was also a small obsession with after life and death like what we become etc,I used to cry in the day feeling like I was missing everyone and stuff.I had this game on my iPhone, the remastered one like the theme in this video. While I was in the end of the game and fighting the big bosses with this theme,it somehow made me go on and on and get over all this sadness and grief,it made me stronger. This theme really inspires you to keep going and don’t give up.
A lot of people can't get past the battle system to see that. FF1 was pretty much 'the heroes win because they are heroes'. FF2 really stepped it up and wasn't afraid to say 'you can't save everyone, people will die'. And by the end of the game, it's nigh on apocalyptic levels of death.
@@henryhunter9643leveling up the magic spells was really a pain. Tho another reason people dislike the game is because of those dungeon designs. I personally really hated how there were so many dead ends and empty rooms.
@@MrChildYeeter Yeah I understand the gameplay foibles. The dead end rooms suck. I like FF2 but even I can admit that. Ironically FF2 is one of the few games I can tolerate grinding in for some reason. But yeah, having to spam Esuna constantly just to get it to level 5 so it had a chance to cure the tougher status condition was just bad design.
@@henryhunter9643 Yeah, grinding physical stats was fine, infact it felt much more rewarding when compared to magic. Especially Black magic, where everything except berserk was basically useless for me in my first playthrough
@@MrChildYeeter magic really isn't that great in FF2. Ultima is hyped up to be the only hope for the rebellion, but unless you grind everything to max (Ultima bases it's power based on your combined stats and skills) it's nothing special. The extended story segment from the GBA and PSP release is like 1 hour of story but 6 hours of gameplay because of all the grinding you need to do. I'm glad I did it but I doubt I'll ever replay it.
I only played on the gba version. Are the sanguine sword, stackable spell buffs and orchidée's item effect also busted af on psp? Giving the sanguine sword to Ricardo (the dragoneer) makes the NG+ a walk in the park, especially the ultima arma fight that normally requires another sword I forgot the name to curse it.
And this one lives on...Minwu's "Mightiest of Spells" finisher in Opera Omnia
Crazy that Opera Omnia is going to end service in February...
Minwu BT+ theme

Same situation! You know, I also started improving my english thanks to FF2! I had the ps1 version and learned many new words. :P

That's actually very sweet. I'm glad this triumphant theme inspired you so.
@@spiritrosewolf6377thank you kind soul :)
Sir, your video is very important, thank you for the contribution.
Set up all my buffs, Blink, Protect, Shell, Aura, Haste, Berserk. Then annihilation!
Haha, finally to see the guy that play the game
Love ff2. It’s one of the best stories of the classic FFs.

Easily in the top 3 of the most epic "major boss" battle themes EVER
I guess you haven't played many games then.
@@SeventhheavenDK easily one of the top boss battle themes. I can confirm I've played so many RPGs.
Better than Pixel Remaster. :D
This song on kingdom hearts 4.. man I hope we get to see final fantasy worlds on kingdom hearts 4 including this one
gameplay a bit exploitable but the battle theme underrated
In PSP the gameplay is perfectly fine.
@@sebastiankulche He means the fact you can still exploit some game mechanics like Shield mastery and spamming attacks/magic to level them up fast.

Reminds me of GioGio PS2
