@@akiinmoonlight79 I agree, 100% ! But i'll add also Masayoshi Soken (from SE too), amazing talent dude too, rumors put him to be the composer to FF 16 ost ( he is the composer to FF14)
Masashi Hamauzu deserves praise as well! He was the bass singer in the original FFVII’s One-Winged Angel chorus, then went on to co-compose FFX with Uematsu, then led XIII’s and VII Remake’s! He’s *technically* Uematsu’s personal successor!
Also Mitsuto Suzuki (Mobius, VII Remake), he’s great as well.. And Naoshi Mizuta (XI Online, XIII-2, SoP:FFO)… Takeharu Ishimoto (Type-0, Dissidia, and Crisis Core:FFVII)..

I really like that they chose some of the probably lesser known, yet still absolutely beautiful pieces from the franchise, aside from a few very obviously iconic songs like Sephiroths theme.

I wish if Square Enix listen to their fans to make a Pixel demake of some FF games it would be cool like having fun playing FF7 in with the character sprite of FF6 I would gladly to spend time for it.

You can tell that To Zanarkand is different from the other, it shows how emotion and story in FFX take you, bittersweet and sad yet also beautiful every time.

I'm glad they leave IX alone, you couldn't trust them to do anything good with it now.
Besides, IX isn't Nomura's baby, he's not gonna touch it. Nor should he.
I would love to see a remake, or at least maybe a current gen graphical update with the same mechanics. however, how they did VII is terrible. Just spin off after spinoff ruined it for me. I still love the original, and the remake, but it was overkill how they did that.

Been looking all over for this medley. I love the song transition from ff10 to ff11, it sounds so good and it flows nicely! My fave is FF3.

Squall is one of the rare instances when the protagonist is in the game's logo, and theme and footage of his game don't show him in this video.
You say that like The Man With the Machine Gun wasn't a good choice for FFVIII. :) It's easily one of the strongest pieces in the whole OST, one of the strongest battle themes from the series as a whole, to be honest.

It's certainly one of my favorite tracks in the game, and I agree on one of the best battle themes in the series.

FFVII has dozens of incredible songs, and the only 2 anybody wants to hear are the main battle theme and One Winged Angel.
@@knightshousegames yeah. I don’t blame them for doing One Winged Angel since it’s my favorite song in all of gaming, but why don’t Sephiroth’s other two themes get the recognition they deserve? Those Chosen by the Planet is the most underrated villain theme of all time, and Birth of a God is just straight up neglected

Birth of a God just has so much energy by comparison. Jenova's battle theme is great as well

Does anyone know the original song that starts at 12:35? I know it is named FF IX - You're Not Alone, however I cannot find the flute version like this one anywhere. This version is so soothing and melodic compared others!
I believe all of these are specific to the FF 30th anniversary medley, so aren't available on their own unfortunately
Love the music😍😍, but when you get to ff6, why does terra's hair blonde somes but in other games her hair is green??🤔
Blonde is true to original concept. Green is widely seen as her "pixel form".

But honestly both can be considered canon, she has both form/skins in Dissidia NT as well as Brave Exvius.
In old games, you had extremely limited color palettes to work from.
They wanted both Terra and Celes to have blonde hair, but if they used the exact same color for both of them, they'd be hard to tell apart at a glance. Since they didn't have the color economy to add a slightly different blonde tone to the game, they used green instead. I think green was used as an analog for blonde in other 16 bit era games as well, but I can't think of any examples at the moment. I just know I've seen substitutions like that before in 8 and 16 bit era games.
Honestly I wish they had kept her hair green in subsequent adaptions, it made sense for her as a not quite human character.

No hate intended, but I'm kinda tired of only hearing One winged angel as the sole track for everything FFVII, it's an amazing one but there are other notable ones, JENOVA, A flower blooming in the slums (Aeriths theme), Those who fight further or even Highwind takes to the skies and Opening Bombing mission.

Honestly I agree. It may be my favorite song from the series but it overshadows some seriously good ones like birth of a god and the main battle theme

Orchestra version of Recollections from FFXI, there are different versions of it, I believe like 5 verses with a male and female verse.
I believe the one played here is Memoro de la S^tono, you can look it up, First-Fifth Ode FFXI.
