Anakin Skywalker Is The Reason Ahsoka Tano Survived Order 66 - Star Wars Explained

  • How did Ahsoka Tano survive Order 66 when even the most skilled Jedi Masters were helpless against an army of clonetroopers? Ahsoka Tano, who was still a Padawan when she left the Jedi Order, insisted that she was not a Jedi. The clones still targeted her when Darth Sidious activated Order 66. Surrounded by clones, she was able to defend herself when most Jedi fell. Anakin Skywalker's unique training is what helped her survive.

    While all Padawans are subjected to the same lightsaber proficiency test against remotes, Anakin wanted a realistic test for Ahsoka. Taken to a military operations center, she faces Captain Rex and 501st clone troopers, all of whom have their weapons set to stun. If she can fight off living opponents, Anakin says, she can handle anything a droid can throw at her. Over the course of several training sessions and countless setbacks, Ahsoka eventually learns to sense through the Force which clone will fire and when. It’s the repetition of this exercise that prepared Ahsoka to succeed where nearly all other Jedi failed.

      It probably helped that Ahsoka wasn't a jedi. Order 66 specifically commanded the clones to kill their jedi comanders. Palpatine had to give Rex special orders because of maul and Ahsoka both who didn't fall under order 66.

    With Ahsoka's training from that exercise, she was able to differentiate the killing intent behind the clones and wasn't disillusioned by prejudice or her familiarity with the clones. She trusted in the Force, as she had become more receptive to its clairvoyance due to her departure from the Jedi Order. Rex's plea also helped convince her that something terrible was happening.

      Maul did some freaking work that day too lol. Without him they'd be dead. In a better world he would have been a great Jedi but he was taken by the sith as a child. His character arch shows he's really not evil. He's not good but why would he be? Not one person ever was good to him. Considering everything he did and was in the end he showed himself as impartial. I think the fact that he could be so in deep into the dark side but not let it fully take him ever means he had the potential to be a powerful and caring Jedi. I really could see an alternative universe where he was actually found by qui Gon gin as a child and grew up training next to obi one and had a great friendship with him. He was just lost between the light and the dark and never found his place like the other sith. They all either died bad or came back in the end. But he was just destined for a life of conflict and outcast..

      @@damiansaturday6788 I’ve also heard things about Anakin being a departure from your typical Jedi. Most Jedi train with their Lightsabers as a last resort means of defending themselves. They view violence as a last resort, and therefore don’t train extensively for combat. Anakin, however, loved lightsaber combat. He built a lightsaber designed for combat, rather than an item of ceremony. He also trained diligently, more than most other Jedi. While Ahsoka doesn’t share Anakin’s love of fighting, she clearly learned more combat skills compared to your average Padawan and had ample opportunity to test them, either in actual battle or in mock fights against Clones. This makes sense and here's why, clone troopers were known to have precise aim, better than many other shooters in the galaxy, especially those who used dual pistols like Jango fett, anakin is right about droids being predictedable, where as the clone troopers are far more intelligent and could aim and predict movements alot better, this was even shown in rebels when Rex sniped a droid from afar, the other jedi weren't use to precise aiming, they were use to droids and even before the war where they did face biological enemies who could aim extremely well, it was rare for them to be ambushed and caught off guard and it's known that having an extra saber is more effective to block blaster shots, even double bladed sabers are effective in deflecting blaster shots, cause it's more blade and extra defense, these reasons are why ahsoka survived better than many other jedi

    There's nothing here that wasn't in Tales of the Jedi, or in 80 other videos one TH-cam. Anakin's training did more for her than that one day. I know I'm not the only person who immediately remembered Ahsoka's prison escape on Coruscant. There were many thousands of shock troopers after her, some of them with service animals. Others were flying around her in military aircraft. They were all on their game that evening, the elite of the elite. Nothing but volleys of blaster fire and stun rays. I think there was someone sitting in a skycannon, shooting at Ahsoka at first. Ahsoka didn't slow down in the least, but replicated some of the moves EXACTLY as she did them in Tales of the Jedi. She lost 1 of her shota, but that was no problem, because Anakin gave her 2 more lightsabers soon afterward, just before Order 66. That was mad impressive! That particular training saved her at least 2 times. And that's not the only thing Anakin taught her that saved her life.

    She's also had two prior experiences surviving hostile clones- when she was trapped on the ship with all the infected clones and when she was being framed for murder.
    She was pretty uniquely put into a place where she had a lot of practical experience.

    Anakins training was ahead of its time. He thought about things from a realistic sense from his harsh experiences on tattooine. The jedi didn't and probably thought of him as being to extreme but his training is what kept her alive while if the jedi had her only doing just couple sessions of training droids, she'd be dirt.

  • @BenjaMan64

    Another factor, I think, that helped the Clone Troopers ambush the Jedi is that they had no ill will towards them, they merely were following orders, so the Jedi were caught off guard since they felt no malice from the Clones. Thanks to Anakin's training, Ahsoka could predict the Clones' attacks even if they had no malice in their hearts.

  • @aliciawatson4595
    @aliciawatson4595 ปีที่แล้ว

    There’s definitely this training, but there’s also the fact that Ashoka was thrown in the deep end for her entire training, she almost died many times and she was pushed far harder than the average Padawan, thanks to Anakin. She also fought clones and her friends who were under a form of mind control before, in the episode with the Geonosian queen. She trusted Rex and his men enough to know that it wasn’t really them, that something was wrong. And Rex and his iron will and ability to fight helped that as well. Ahsoka’s survival of Order 66 was so many factors, most of which actually came down to attachment. Anakin’s attachment to her driving him to push her and train her to protect herself as much as possible, Rex’s attachment to her to allow him to fight the order, Ahsoka’s attachment to Anakin and to Rex that allowed her that moment’s warning. It was all those attachments that actually made her stronger in the end.

  • @RickyJC
    @RickyJC ปีที่แล้ว +3

    To be clear, Ashoka was able to hold down about 5 minutes of fire. Just enough time to come up with a solution. Unlike Stormtroopers, the Clones could problem solve much better than other soldiers and would eventually take down a Jedi.
