I'm just not a fan of the claw look for headlights and tail lights. Didn't like it when Honda and Subaru did it. It's just a cluttered look compared to straight line design.
It's gonna be 35k at the highest trim model .. and you know dealerships are gonna markup all hybrids at least 5k so that's a 40k$ Camry... This is no longer a entry level car.. 40k for a car is closer to luxury line... This is crazy I mean I get it it's a hybrid but come on this is getting fkn ridiculous... Make it 25k .. this is a joke and it's made in USA.. Wich makes it less valuable, because Japanese plants are far better than any NA plants...
The biggest surprise for me is the body appears to be mostly a carry over design. Parked side by side they look very similar. The engine & transmission look carried over too from the 8th gen Camry, but that's good news because that powertrain has proven 500,000 mile capability, plus it feels almost as peppy as a V6. 45-53 MPG on the highway is a major benefit as well.
Lol, you have a drill and refinery in your backyard? Gas stations that have pumps operating without power? The "if the grid goes down" arguments are unreal. A downed grid is either temporary or it's indicative of a problem that's going to put everyone down the drain, regardless of if they drive ICE, ev, hydrogen, or giant eagle

Not a fan of the body color lower grill on XSE. Otherwise looks good. Glad that Hybrid and AWD are available together ✅ THANKFUL it is still a CAR!!! A car has more room for unique design cues than a suv, IMO.
This doesn’t seem like a redesign this feeling like a update Camry that keep the same body and took piece of the Prius and put them together. I feel like they played it safe by not going to far from the 8th generation since it had did so well.
I bought the Crown for that reason since I already owned the current gen Camry. Just wanted something different. No one buys Toyota for cuteness over reliability 😅
I'm not so sure the hybrid will hold it value better. I tend to keep my Toyota 10+ years. I worry about having to replace the battery around that age and if not me the next buyer should. I also drive less than 5000 miles a year so the fuel savings is not that big of a deal.
Replace or clean your battery filter every 6 month and it will last you. I still have my hybrid Camry that I bought since 2012 on it’s original battery. It is over 250k miles, no issues.
I don’t like SUV, just bought my wife a new Lexus NX hybrid SUV and it does not compare with my 2017 Lexus ES350in terms of ride and comfort. I can’t wait for the next gen ES hybrid to replace my ES350,

I think Toyota did an excellent job with this new generation. I can’t wait to drive it side by side with the Accord, but based on what I can see so far, I prefer the Camry because it has some things that the Accord lacks, especially in the interior.
I've been driving for decades, and have owned Toyota vehicles all of my driving life. I currently own a v6 Camry, and I love it. Earlier today, I was told that in 2025 Toyota will no longer be making the v6 Camry? To put it mildly, I wasn't happy about this news. As for the Hybrid system, I'm still on the ropes of buying this model. For the record, purchasing an American made piece of junk is "not" an option. Toyota, don't ditch the v6 Camrys.
Can you really call it all new Toyota Camry? As far as the exterior and interior it's close to the same as a 2018 to 2024. The only difference is the front Body clip and the rear body clip. Along with only coming in hybrid, with a little bit extra output of power. Now you could say Toyota came out with an all new Camry in 2018 compared to 2017. In those years, it is more accurate to say Toyota came out with an all new Camry.

David, I am a big Toyota fan. However, Toyota should have not taken away a choice of using gasoline engines. 82 percent of people buy a gasoline engine for Toyota. No.2 it seems Toyota did not spend alot of time and money on this new generation 9 so far. To me, it seems like a refresh. Had a 2014 se, perfect car, no issues, 75K miles... just bought a new 2024 camry se, not a fan of all the changes on the 2025's. also are the new 2025's coming with that horrible CVT transmission. .
Here in Canada, paid my $500 deposit for my 3rd hybrid Camry XLE, really excited about the AWD, improved electronics and fuel economy. Don't care about styling, location of design office and factory, and horses, only about reliability and safety. Never had a single issue.
I still like the gas engine only. Won't be buying a Hybrid if I can help it. If Toyota only makes Hybrids I will look for a different brand. Hybrid is just not worth the extra cost vs gas. Just do a Spreadsheet and add a new $5K battery at around 150K miles. You still pay more than just paying for gas. And unless China and India do something with CO2 anything the U.S. does just doesn't matter. It's in the noise.
I will wait till the CARS law takes effect in July before I buy another car. I would like to know the price and all of the specs and compare with the Accord before I make a decision.

Does the ECVT transmission in the 2025 Camry have a slush lubrication system or does it have a dry sump system like the 2024 Prius Prime? 5. interior console is too big and bulky. Accord interior console looking much more stylish and higher quality. Body color grill is not cool. Black grills are always good looking like Corolla. I had big expectations.
Looks nice, but we don't need another hybrid. I would like it better if they would use a turbo 4 cylinder with a motor between the engine and 8-10 speed auto transmission, like on the new tacoma.

If it’s anything like the Crown XLE w/ the 2.4 hybrid, it’s gonna be a noisy engine with a picky hybrid system. Not my first choice.
This new Camry looks great! There is definitely a market for the sedan and I am glad they are still being offered by Toyota and Lexus..

I prefer when toyota made affordable cars, when the Camry was affordable. Now upper models are 35 to 40k+
I’m glad they went all Hybrid and offer AWD in all trims. They also kept the sedan profile. More folks need to rediscover sedans.

Body color grill is not cool. Black grills are always good looking like Corolla.
I had big expectations.
Looks nice, but we don't need another hybrid. I would like it better if they would use a turbo 4 cylinder with a motor between the engine and 8-10 speed auto transmission, like on the new tacoma.
