Awesome video, I was having a hard time even finding the trans mount in the first place. I would have never thought to pull the computer and battery tray. Thanks again
I thought I'd share a tip I read in one of the other videos. Just so you're not constantly having to work around the bonnet(hood) prop, just use a stick on the other side to hold it up. 👍
you had to use the extended ratchet all the way on the central 17mm? On mine, i noticed a couple threads gone and the female threads looked pretty beat up.
is that rubber piece that goes inside the mount crucial? I just ordered a set if engine mounts so I can replace them on my 2012 mazda 3 and the transmission mount doesn't have that rubber piece
@@s33therfan appreciate the response! Glad to know that you've had experience replacing mounts without the rubber with no issues! Makes me feel a whole lot better!
I have a rather loud clunking noise coming under the cabin when I accelerate. Happens the most when I fully punch it.. and by loud I mean it’s really loud. Sounds like something gonna fly off lol
My car doesn’t vibrate but it does make a sound when I drive on potholes like if something is lose and is only on the driver side you think it could be the mount?
I have used a breaker bar with a 2 foot cheater pipe to get some to move. Sometimes those threat inserts get messed up and required re chasing the threads . Hope you get replaced smoothly . Thanks for watching.
2 seconds into the video I hear that accent I Subscribe, cause I know this man will know what he's talking about !!!

Mechanic quoted me $550 to do this. I just finished in under an hour following this guide. Thanks!

How could you tell this transmission mount was bad before working on its replacement?
Felt a lot of excess vibration. Thanks for watching.
is that rubber piece that goes inside the mount crucial? I just ordered a set if engine mounts so I can replace them on my 2012 mazda 3 and the transmission mount doesn't have that rubber piece
It isn't , I have replaced several without it and it seemed to make no difference. Thank you for the question.

Same happened to me,but I installed the old one into the new mount, cause it fits exactly the same.
Awesome tutorial so sad it won't be as easy as the passenger side mount
Thank you for watching.
Thank you, definitely a lot cheaper doing self repair.

I does seem like a mount issue , could also look at the torsion mount that attatches underneath to the tran. Thanks for watching.
Great video
Thank you very much.
Can this be done on a 2007 Mazda as well?
Or is th procedure different?
yes , basically the same , the only minor difference is in the mount itself. Thanks for watching.
@s33thefan? Where did you get that ratchet?
The extended ratchet came from harbor freight. I have to say it is one of my most used tools. Thanks for watching.
My car doesn’t vibrate but it does make a sound when I drive on potholes like if something is lose and is only on the driver side you think it could be the mount?
Might be a good place to start. Thank you for watching.
@@s33therfan actually was the trusts mount
Good job!!!!
There is an issue trying to remove the last bolt to the transmission any suggestions?

I forgot to put the medium thread lock in the middle bolt, will this be an issue?
It will be fine , those bolts really bite into those mounts once tightened. Thanks for watching.
Thanks a lot!
Thank you for watching.
