I also think it's related to Godwyn in some way. Given that Elden Ring has a huge theme of dual identities, perhaps this could be his Alter or some kind of "shadow" of Godwyn

Since the omen horns are a mark of the Crucible Period, & a lot of the characters we’ve seen have horns & other omenlike features, I think it makes sense that the Crucible Period ended with the separation of the Land of Shadows from The Lands Between, & thus its inhabitants have been essentially stuck in the old culture

Is the Crucible Period really over? Or is that Golden Order propaganda? Is this why Omen are shunned underground to hide this truth? We keep seeing ‘horned’ beings. If the Crucible still exists, or there’s access to it somehow, imagine the bosses Fromsoft could potentially create.

With how Godwyns death roots appearing even in Farum Azula it isn’t a stretch that it would pop up in the land of shadows.
You can see a lot of deathroot in the trailer. Some locations are covered with it and there might be a deathblight swamp

@@AppleIndianFTWGodwyn's hair isn't white, Godwyn doesn't have omen horns, he doesn't wear a mask, and his body is not in the Land of Shadow. This character doesn't appear to have deathblight stuff, and they also don't have the Half-Wheel Wound of the Centipede on their back like Godwyn does.

This is not Godwyn. I predict this boss is the 2nd form of the Lion Dancer Boss which we saw in the trailer for Shadow of the Erdtree. In said trailer we see the Lion Dancer attack the protagonist with Deathroot attacks while this boss has clear connections to Godwyn as well due to the pose of his arms. Also the feet that can be seen under the Lion costume are identical to these and the Lion mask has Omen horns as well. Plus the coat of this boss has the same color as the costume of the Lion Dancer.
I'd love to agree but this make as much sense as this thing being Godwyn. I mean, you're cherry picking at this point. It's like saying "Oh, these two people have similar eye color, similar hair and height. They're surely related!"
I'm not saying you're wrong in any way. I might be absolutely wrong with what I'm going to say: Fromsoft knows we're digging into stuff they show. This thing is posing in the same way Godwyn does. There's 90% probability it's connected in some weird or convoluted way. Again: I'm probably completely wrong here. We need to see in the DLC for ourselves but one thing is for sure.

Okay, but I don't think Fia intended to have an actual child. She gestated a mending rune to supplant the current order with a new order under the Prince of Death
And even if she did, that would imply we would need to complete the questline in order for the kid to be born so that we can see this enemy in the dlc. Miyazaki already said that the dlc doesn’t have much to do with the base game

@@harvesterofsubs5561 one of the things that seems to seperate the cultures from before and after the erdtree is birth. During the era of the erdtree people are born from the erdtree, whereas before that time people actually had mothers. I think there could definitely be heavy implications of showing a figure that appears to be from this older culture shaped like a uterus. In the lands between the source of life is a pretty significant and contentious thing

On the contrary I think this might be Godwyn. Think about it, how come Mogh and Morgott are born omens but not Godwyn? They have the same parents.
In this image it shows omen horns underneath a gold mask… Does it ring a bell? “Godwyn the Golden”, signifies Godwyn is in fact an omen but use some sort of trick to conceal it. And because the shadowland is all about uncovering Marika’s secret, I believe this is one of them

There are a lot of characters directly related with gold aside from Godwyn. Miquella of the unalloyed gold, Radagon of the Golden Order... Goldmask. However, like Godwyn, none of them have ever had omen horns

I doubt it. The odds of omen children is not particularly high, yet they have already had the twins so another would be pretty unlikely mathematically. Also it would be pretty lazy writing to just tact on another omen child when it's already been done to full effect with morgott and mohg
@@Merlinthehappypig take into account that Marika and radagons children are all cursed (probably because they're literally the same person having children with itself) mohg and morgott are omens, miquella is a baby and malenia is rotted, and the odds of their children being omen (or any abomination for that matter) goes up tremendously.

I don't believe this is Godwyn. For one, the omen horns and lack of the Cursemark of Death engraved upon their back. Perhaps this is the god from the age of the Crucible? That small hole in their lower back might have been where they were impaled during crucifixion, similar to the state we find Marika herself in. Maybe that could also explain the strange posture

The wound on the back of the new image... Is it's placement a candidate for same location of Marika's exit wound caused by the destined death spear in her womb? No idea how this would tie into the rest of the design/have yet to formulate any further/supporting thoughts, but asked the question/made the association between the wound on the back and the destined death spear in my head almost immediately...
Maybe the bosses of the DLC will contain ubiquitous/near ubiquitous reflections of Marika within (and/or surrounding) other design elements pointing at either the stories of her more relevant demi-god children and/or as relevant/related to Marika's path to God-hood? Just spit balling.

Okay, i have a crazy idea for a new weapon category that may be in the game; *Boomerangs.*
We have already seen what looks like a throwing dagger weapon category, which would not use consumables but rather throwing is part of the moveset, and we have also saw the mounted skeleton in a cave throwing a spinning weapon at us, which turns around and comes back to it's hand, and this guy might be holding another instance of that, a dual wielded boomerang.

You guys remember the Elden Ring Cinematic trailer? Remember Godwyn having black tears come from his eyes from the death blight? Check out the black tears coming from the mask. Not only that but the arms and literal golden mask kind of tells us who it is.
It's gotta be. Nobody else in the game has arms and is associated with gold. But wait- Goldmask has arms and a golden mask. This is clearly Goldmask, case solved.

All of them were proven wrong after Miyazaki confirmed thatvit was in fact Miquella. Same could happen here. Arm positioning, black tears, and the colour of the skin. Of course it could be totally wrong and that's ok. But there is no need to act like an ass

From everything we´ve seen, the land of shadows seems to has different customs. There appears to be more things connected to the crucible. I think that the custom off cutting horns is not as prevalent there as in the lands between. I'm sure we will see a lot of crucible aspects in the DLC.
the hole in the boss' back makes me think of a Messmer's implication. Just like we speculated with Marika, He could have impaled this ancient royal figure for obscures reasons (thirst of power mainly)
The posture of that thing seems very similar to whatever the thing that points you to where catacombs are. Not sure if there's any connection there?
is it hard to believe that the Land Of Shadows is home to Crucible creatures and culture. So this has to be an Omen, maybe a jester or servant hence the bow. I dont see any connection to Godwin other than position of the arms tbh.

Anyone with elbows is going to have arms like that. I don't think it's related to Godwyn at all. I'd be happy to be wrong though. Either way I hope we get sufficient Godwyn related things.
Just some thoughts: So when it comes to the lion omen fight, it’s a representation of the dancing dragon, I’ve heard some speculate it’s a celebratory image of Godwyn which is why it utilizes lightning based off his lore of gaining the power of lighting from dragons and has the gold trimmed robes and long hair. So similarly if this thing is also part of that celebration of him, it would almost make sense to have the golden mask & long hair in his image “Godwyn the Golden” while also assuming his pose 🤔
The cloak looks like the one the old guy was wearing when he was taking the sword from his head. He was royal too. Maybe that's why the creature looks as if he's bowing

Wild Guess from me and that would be, that the Thing in the Picture is Godwyn, but within the Shadow Realms due to the Fia Incident granting Godwyn a Second Life as "The Prince of Death" within the Shadow Realms, also both of the Weapons symbolize the Fact that Ranni and Godwyn died the the same time so it could stand for each Cursemark of Death one as "Rannis" and one as "Godwyns"
The stab wound on its back fits with the red spear that pierced Marika when she was crucified in the Erdtree.

Because you only need to kill mogh and Radahn, we gotta take that into consideration for connections to certain characters and other events/bosses like things like Fia’s quest

Godwyn was an Omen that got his features later in life. And he was the golden so they made a golden face mask to remember his face the days before getting omen-y

I feel like this boss still invokes a feeling of death blight/those who live in death but not godwyn. Like an omen that was also killed in sould but not body, maybe from when the gloam eyed queen weilded destined death

That's not a bow, that's a battle stance. One of it's stances, it's attacking from below, getting ready to slice or throw the blades.

Of all the masks in game it reminds me most of the Minor Erdtree guardians with the swordspears
I belive this charecter or boss, is somehow related to the shackles, the ones made for mohg and margit, he looks like an omen as well so maybe he is in a way related to the shackles
I think this is what is below the Land Of Shadow, the abyss in which Marika discarded her ‘naught’ children/parts of herself that she coldly pruned away because they were of no benefit to the growth of the ‘tree’, and in some cases harmful to it. Her abandoned botched graft of failed scion and stunted bud, etc. The Land of Shadow is calcination, the burning down of all to black so that the cycle can begin anew. Those in the abyss are excluded even from that, so that their traits would not reappear in the next cycle. Marika was ruthless in her grafting/pruning/discarding but her veil was pierced and all of her secrets and shame will be laid bare. Her cardinal sin was disrupting the cycle for her own selfish benefit, and these are the children of her sin in an all-in-one package.
The beastman of farum azula also use similar weapons as throwing weapons although it's smaller. This looks the same but bigger and more damaging.
I think that this will be a stronger common enemy in the dungeon that leads to the lion dancer boss. I also have a theory that this enemy and the lion dancer are not omens at all. But rather worship the crucible and omen kind. The enemy only has horns on its head which is covered by a mask so who’s saying the horns and hair are not also part of the mask. There are no horns anywhere else on its body. Also the lion dancer is similar with the horns seemingly being on the lion mask but not on the dancers underneath. You can make out the shape of a head covered in cloth on the lower figure if you pause at the right moment and there doesn’t seem to be any horns on his head just the lion they are puppeteering. Perhaps this is a culture that celebrates the crucible
Also maybe with how skinny/malnourished the enemy is that the mask/horns weigh to much on his head which explains the weird posture
The mask might be reminiscent of the famous Mycenaean mask - the Mask of Agamemnon

His weapons kinda gives me Farum Azula Beastman weapons vibe. Like it could have been made by the same blacksmith. The mask resembles minor Erdtree guardian mask imo

I heard it somewhere else first, but the figure's posture - with how they're holding their circle-weapons and the way their back is arched - resembles a uterus. Saw someone in your chat wonder if they could be a female omen since we haven't seen any of them yet... the uterine imagery could back that up. A Mother of all Omen, perhaps? A forgotten parallel to how Marika is the mother of all the Golden Demigods?

as a big Kingdom Hearts fan, i hope those weapons are obtainable. There was a character in the Kingdom Hearts called "Axel" and he was so cool and badass to me and had similar chakram style weapons that he'd use to dance around the battlefield

I would say that it isn’t related to Godwyn because we know that the shadow realm exists at the same time and is next to the lands between in a timeline sense. So k doubt that it would be a child of godwyn or directly related to the game because when our tarnished exists the shadow realm also exists so I don’t think it would be something that takes place after the fact but it could be due to godwyn dying so long before we come into the picture
Maybe this is the other godwynn under stormveil the one with a third eye
I think this is Miquilla after being given Omen Blood within the cocoon. It looks reproductive organs but also similar to a butterfly with the chakrams being the wings. Its a mix between older deformed Miqulla with Omen body parts.
Hey Jake, I have a theory that I’d like you to cover in a future video. I believe the parts of dragon barrow near Gurranq’s lair is connected to farum azula. It has the same statues and the bridge is even named farum greatbridge. And also, there are some dead dragon corpses that looked suspiciously like ancient dragons. So yeah, I believe dragon arrow is somehow connected to farum azula. Could you cover this in a future video.
