Hello, so i just followed your video on how to change the turbo from B235E to a B235R, but now i have the problem of not being able to download this "TD04 tuning pack" and my car wont run very well any more. Going on late holiday soon can someone fixa a working link to this file?
You mention this is a 2008. My 2007 2.3t listed specs online in U.S. says it has 258-260 h.p.. I bought it used so I dont have the original manufacturer info.. I assumed it already had the aero tune. Why does this 2008 need to be remapped?
I recently had an ecu flash on my 2006 2.3t Vector Sport taking it up to 235bhp and 380Nm - it's a big improvement. It's still the GT17 turbo but was advised an upgrade to the TD04 would be a good idea to get more output and better response.. Apparently pretty much everything else is the same as an Aero car. Any plans to do a turbo replacement/upgrade on your wife's car? Would be an interesting video for me anyway!
Hey! Nothing is planned for a turbo upgrade for her car, she doesn't want me tuning it too much ;) Sounds like you got both a turbo calibration and a stage 1 on that car, and yes that's a big improvement!
Trionic Seven: I am in two minds on swapping out my ageing GT17 to a TD04 (on my 2000 9-3, B205L). I am concerned I will lose the earlier torque peak for everyday driving; on the other hand I miss out on top end power and reliability of the TD04. Is it worth upgrading overall (with Maptun remap)? Forums can only tell me so much.
Performance wise you will not lose anything when switching to TD04, trust me. It's great upgrade so just go ahead! In addition, the TD04 is so much better re. reliability.
I'm thinking about buying a 9-3 from 2000-2002 and doing something similar. What kind of HP increase could you expect to get reliably out of this kind of swap? I've heard good and bad things about the B205L. I don't want anything crazy, maybe just 250hp or so. I know the internals aren't forged like the older 9-3's, but that also makes it a more efficient engine, correct? Thanks!
You mention the boost gauge on that car which I believe changed from 2006 onwards. Mine is a 2006 2.3t Vector Sport (185bhp lpt) and doesn't go far into in the red at all. Is that something I should be concerned about? I have no similar car to compare.
I expected it to go into the reds since I thought I had the same bin as in my own Aero which barely touches the red on full boost. Are you sure you have a stock instrument cluster? Not sure the 2.3t has a turbo gauge at all, and the car in my video is an upgraded cluster with the indicator. Also, the needle is controlled by the software so different software can show different things.
hi! i need some little help, what box did you use to read and to write the ecu software? , if i retrofit instrument cluster from an 9-5 aero wit boost indicator on my 9-5 bipower , what to do to make boost indicator to work?
How do you think a td04hl-15t would work in a c900 with a t5.5 conversion? Should I look at a td04-19t if looking for more race power? You're thoughts?
Hm, I'm not too familiar with the og900 or the T5 engines. They are very well known for the T7 engines since it's the Aero turbo. I would ask at trionictuning.com! :)
A TD-04-15t would definitely have more power than the stock Garrett. The 19T would naturally give you more power still, but way more than the C900 transmission is going to be okay with. Especially if you race it. I have an '89 900 Vert (along with 4 other SAABs) and a spare TD-04 and was considering it as well, but if you really want to build a SAAB for racing it is best to use the T-5 cars just because the transmissions are more plentiful or you can get that sweet Quaife 6-speed kit if you have the money.
Hi! I love your vids! I have some questions regarding homemade flashing trionic 5. Do you know anything about it? Or maybe know some1 that know something? :)
I like my B235R with the TD04 quite a lot. My 9-5 Arc is only a 2007 though.
Yep, I have a 9-5 Aero and it pulls nicely!
OK thank you
Just a quick question - I have a TD-04 from my Aero 2001 - would that suit the 2008 - same size, banjo bolts and lines?
Is it possible to disable the antit-theft software so that just the metal key works with that combi box and some voodoo?
Not sure. I'd ask over at trionictuning.com, that's were all those kind of black voodoo saab magic is made!
change the oneway valves an your good to go, no boost trouble any longer..
The boost trouble had to do with using incorrect software.
Hey if i ad an td04hl 15 to my saab 9 5 2.0t with hirsch upgrade 210hk what mapping do i need after. Im so confused. Live in denmark..

What tool do you use for trouble shooting diagnostics?
In the video I used an ELM327 with the torque pro app on my phone.
stateless miles to go

The previous owner changed the turbo to the aero turbo so it makes sense to upgrade the turbo map. Otherwise the car might not run that well.

which fuse do you pull in 2006 saab 9-5 aero?
Always fuse nr. 17. See my other vids on ECU flashing.

Trionic Seven thank you for the prompt response. Congratulations on the TH-cam channel. It is one of my favourites.
Glad you like it! Spread the word ;)

amazing. great work. It must be tempting to have just 25 more hp though ;)
I decided to do it the safe route with no power increase since it isn't my own car.

+Trionic Seven: For Saab Enthusiasts well there's a gauge marked 'turbo' in top right of cluster.. I'm assuming it's standard?

Check my opensid video. The box is the combi adapter that can be purchased from trionictuning. That site also has info on the boost gauge.
Trionic Seven trionictuning site is not working
very very useful forum trionictuning !!!
Glad you like it. Got it working?
Hej! Gillar skarpt dina videos! Kände igen vägen utanför Mjölby ;)
Tack! Kul att de uppskattas :) Jajamän, Mjölby-Boxholm !
Hi Tri.
Another good video.
Tell me, can my 2000 95 Aero auto's power be improved with some type of software?
Sure thing! Just talk to a tuner and they can help you :)
Is it possible to use USB-OBD cable to flash t7 ecu? Or is combi adapter must have thing for that?
Nope, you must have a lawicel canusb or (better) a combiadapter.

aha okej
Du måste skriva 25 kommentarer innan man låser upp "bronze member"
Does this apply to a 204r ecu also ?
No, b204 is T5, different system.
Hi! I love your vids!
I have some questions regarding homemade flashing trionic 5.
Do you know anything about it? Or maybe know some1 that know something? :)
Sorry, I've never done trionic 5 flashing before. Check trionictuning.com for some info on T5! :)
Is it reliable?
The TD04 is considered more reliable than the GT17, yes.
Great video!
Thanks! :)
