Hedbury Quarry with Old Canon Cemented into Rock Slab on SW Coast, Dorset, Explore

Hedbury Quarry on the Isle of Purbeck, Dorset, UK is a disused quarry that is liked by climbers. It has an old cannon cemented onto a plinth probably placed there by the quarry men. Cannon may have been used as ballast on returning quarry transport boats, or been left over from Napoleonic times. Also some go coasteering there at their own risk.
