Swanage is a nice place. We went there last Tuesday. The weather was nice too. I like to ask have you been to Lulworth befor yet. I like to see what's it like. Haven't been there this year. I'v been to Weymouth before on holiday in Poole.
I love the video of Swanage. I have family there. When you went along the timber pier did you not see what you were walking on\ There are loads of brass plaques commemorating something happy that may have happened to some one, an anniversary you can remember people who have passed. You buy the plaque from the charity and they put your wording on it & attatch it to the floor of the pier. My Mum lived 30 odd years in Swanage & we have a memory plaque for her & Dad. You have to clean it up with good old brasso !!!!!! . When the pier is busy you get lots of help spotting your plaque and a few head collisions cause you are all hunting your plaque at floor level. The life boat station is a bit further round from the pier. Some beautiful walks also.
It is exactly six yrs ago today when I was there... my first (of several) Dorset trips since then ❤ I remember The Salted Pig Too did the best breakfast 😋
I really enjoyed the walk around swanage lovely scenery shops beach sea and boats thanks for a great video it looks a lovely and big holiday destination hope your knee is feeling better have a great weekend
Swanage is a beautiful place and my wife and I have spent many Happy Holidays there. Whilst you are in that part of the world I seriously recommend you visit Tynham. Its a deserted village near the coast evacuated and taken over in ww2 for military training. The villagers were promised it's return but that never happened. Its still on MOD land but is open to visitors a few times a year. The church and schoolhouse are still intact, a pre war village preserved. Well worth a look!
Another awesome great walking tour and Swanage, Dorset is definitely a beautiful town to explore and like the other towns i enjoy seeing the shops, stores, cafes and other places like this until next time as always thank you and take care.🇬🇧🤠🇬🇧
I liked the sandy beach/seafront. I prefer older buildings in shopping areas. Not keen on 60's buildings that blight a lot of UK towns. Great it had a steam train.
Swanage. One of my favourite places on the planet. A proper little seaside town!
Agreed!
I lived in Swanage for a while in the 80's, such a magical place!
Most visitors miss out on Durlston Country Park as it’s the opposite side of the beach up the hill but It’s really worth the spectacular view.

Thank you so much ❤️
I like that place, always reminding me because of the inspiration for FAMOUS FIVE by Enid Blyton ❤😊
Oh yes ❤️❤️
Lots of independent shops and a Wimpy ( there's one near me) and noisy workmen ( or should that be work people? ). Swanage looks very pretty.
The Two Ronnies film by the sea was filmed in Swanage
I don’t think I’ve seen that
Thank you - going to find it today and watch it

Great it had a steam train.
😎
The Mowlem theatre and cinema building is ugly and out of place when compared with other buildings in the town.
It’s a bit drab now
I don't understand why councils allow such atrocities but otherwise, Swanage
looks like a great place to spend a holiday.
❤
