I really hope they don't screw this up and cut corners with this one, this has so much potential to be one of the best warriors game. This is one of the best looking and visually pleasing warriors game to date. I am cautiously optimistic, we're due for a good quality warriors game and it's now or never. If it plays as good as it looks then we're really eating good for real this time.
Yeah no shit that’s what I’m saying. Let’s see how it goes down the road. I got faith in these guys but you never know so we’ll see what happens. Fingers crossed. The trailer looks super fantastic cinematic realistic now this looks like a real dynasty Warriors game but once again we’ll see what happens like you said let’s hope they don’t screw this shit up. I’m all in for Dynasty Warriors I hope they make it into a open world, especially looking like this just to make more sense And even bringing back the bodyguard system like they used to do in dynasty Warriors three but I don’t see that happening so
I hope its a very deep complex and polished version of that xtreme legends one in 5 being a double or triple agent was what made me replay the game multiple times
This game has potential to be fire, let’s hope koei doesn’t somehow fumble this idea. Seeing cao cao look younger makes me think of how in spirit of sanada the characters age as the story progresses (but not kunoichi for some reason 😭) which would be cool to see done properly and add to the immersion but like it’s koei so we’ll see
Aight hear me out, im seeing a pattern where some game devs make a great game as kind of an apology to fans after a big flop these days. Ones that i can think of from the top of my head: -Resident evil 7 After Resident evil 6 -Devil may cry 5 After DmC -Sonic frontiers After Sonic forces -Dad of war (Years) After God of war Ascension -Halo Infinite after Halo 5 The key thing is, non of these examples were safe nostalgia pandering to the old fans to get cheap sales (Except for halo maybe a little), while some were more successful than others, they genuinely moved the series forward, or evolved it with new risky ideas that were tested and considered carefully. So if Origins is done right, it really has the chance to be a great return, and a new revolution for the series. Also yeah the trailer looks insane lol
This game looks amazing and Im excited yet skeptical! I hope we're all right about the replayability of the game, cause I wanna be able to enjoy the game for a while and not just a few playthroughs! Great vid, my friend
I can definitely agree that this game looks great, still a bit worried that it could turn out not great, but I don't think we have enough to know. I'm still very excited to see how this game turns out, even though I don't have a PS5 lol.
I always love playing RoTK X, the ability to play as created unknown officer, and join any faction u want, raise to the top from bottom. or even make ur own kingdom. Not to mention bunch sidequest and experiencing many 3 kingdom scenario through pov of unknown character, is so appealing to me. U can experience chibi from caocao side or liu sun alliance side as well, and both has different scene and dialogue. I kinda wish DW can be like that sometimes, at least to lesser extent. DW5 destiny and empire series kinda lean more into that route, but not quite that expanded yet. Hope this origin can be like RoTK RPG series, but in DW style.
I've not yet had the chance to experience destiny mode, but I see it get enormous praise from the content creator community for this franchise. From what I've heard about the mode and the wild speculation that goes through my mind after the tiny announcement trailer, I think there's a good chance koei is listening and that's going to be the game we're getting
I've been wanting KT to lean away from the RPG-like progression systems from Musou titles because levelling up each character individually with such huge casts bloats the games, makes gameplay variety difficult, and to boot, I don't play Musou games to feel like I'm becoming stronger, I play them for the power fantasy of mowing down scores of enemies at once. I never considered that another avenue for solving the issues I've been having with these games' progression systems would simply be to have a Musou game that focuses on one playable character instead of a cast, as Origins seems to be doing! I'm really looking forward to this one. It'll be really interesting to see what OmegaForce can learn from KT's character action titles like Nier, Wo Long, and Ronin.
It’s about time they’re making a dynasty. Warriors game looks so super realistic and cinematic. I give them a huge big thumbs up especially it’s omega force. Oh yeah you know damn all this game is going to be super hell of good. I’m all in on this game, even though I am not going to get myself hyped up fingers crossed Cannot wait till next year to play this game. I’m definitely buying this game.
This is super exciting! All I hope for is that we get every Character in this game, but of course it is gonna focus on the Nameless hero. Plus, I hope they make it addicting, because well, I've been playing Warriors Orochi 4 for quite a while, and I have to say, it's very addicting! Although, the only concern I have are that it has Greek and Norse gods in it, when it's solely focused around China and Japan. Overall, it's great, just tough, especially with 177 Characters!!! But, I hope Dynasty Warriors Origins is good either way. And since We've noticed Cao Cao not having facial hair, maybe this could mean we could see younger and older versions of every Character (y'know, like they did with Spirit of Sanada)!
Freaking finally, I thought we never see a new Dynasty Warriors title again with the amount of soulslike games (I like soulslike too but still). I'm so glad Koei takes the risk to bring back musou games. I just pray they know what they're doing and not mess this up😭🙏🙏
That...! Is a really effective solution. Have 40-50 unique weapon types, and while on a cast of 100 there is belly-aching that there will be some clones, on a single guy that's a... sizable amount of weapon styles.
unless I have overlooked this but the part (4.23) when the protagonist is fighting with the sword for some reason I think they might be using the combat system from dynasty warrior 9.
Imagine if they implemented the mechanics from the Way of the Samurai series, namely the ability to influence the outcome of the story by virtue of his actions alone.
4:00 I watched another guy cover this, and he said that ordering troops (or at least specifically archer troops) was already present in DW9.... I can't confirm or deny this myself, as I don't have the game.. plus my laptop would probably play it on low FPS
So, what we have in total: - Main concept of this game devs want to realize - is DW5. They call it "Back to the Roots". - Only one playable and non-costomizable character (some famous officers can be played temporary in battles) - About 20 Weapons with unique gameplay and new combos modifications. - No new characters, Jin characters, "Kids of famous officers" characters, Xiao Sisters etc. - No multiplayer. - No "Flashy atmosphere", creative weapon concepts and characters from DW8. Devs want to make a ROTK with the Wo Long gameplay from the whole DW series. - "Not adding characters considering adding character quantity is no longer the selling point." - from 4Gamer interview. So, they will not make 100+ characters with the 100+ unique signature weapons even in future. - Game will be only about deep story and deep and tactical gameplay. So, no more meditative croud chopping. Archers will be pain in the a-word. Shielders will be pain in the a-word, etc. - Duels will be the thing Well, guess i`m going back to my old good DW8XL and WO4U.
How can there be an origins when every game resells the same story every time? Granted gameplay can be similar yet different every time, but still. I am exited though. I doubt this is 10, but I do like my 1v1000 games.
@WildcatWeather cheers ever since 5 I always had this thought of playing a stage and when starting off it's harder but the better u get replaying the stage different things could happen as for example getting rid of a leader or group earlier when then change events in the stage
DW4 had this mechanic. It would have several secret counters in the background, creating friendships, rivalries, and so on character by character, and most of this was hidden from the player. But yes, depending on what you do in some stages in DW4 it will effect future ones.
if this fail again ill😂they should have made dw10 n brought back dw2 were soldier atk you aggressively n u atk them 1 by 1. bring back dw7 unique weapon i miss Zhou Yu sword n Gan Ning sword
As much as I'm excited for this game but honestly I think it's time to move on from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms and start a brand new series within the Dynasty Warriors franchise They should use the Warring States Period of Ancient China (475 BCE-221 BCE) and maybe the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms era (907 CE-960 CE) as future Dynasty Warriors games What do you think?
I hope this game will be a reason to get PS5, looks promising, the idea could be lot of fun... but I fear lack of other DW characters will make naration and combat a little boring, but maybe they keep cool stuff hidden for now, to build hype closer to release, one can hope.
Even though seeing 2 armies clash each other in this game again make me reminisce of Dw3 , I hope this isn't just for the trailer and they are not just dummies like every post dw6 game making it totally worthless and unnecessary..
hopefully there is online coop not just two player. 4 players now i think koei needs to do away with two player coop one piece pirate warriors 4 has that so hopefully we get 4 players both online and offline they icant do offline then two player splitscreen is fine by me
If it’s like Spirit of Sanada count me in, if it’s avatar only I’ll still buy it but not on release. I recently started to get into Dynasty Warrior games due to the historical cast and stages. I don’t want this replacing DW10. Also the music was mid compared to older games.
I don't know. I play these games to try the characters in various battles and wreck stuff. Playing as only one guy seems strange. I mean going from 110 playable characters to 1 is you know stupid?

if they do franchise might has well be dead
i always liked how in dw4 u could use a caw officer thru campaigns
I hope its a very deep complex and polished version of that xtreme legends one in 5

Super surprising to see a DW game with good visuals, and voice acting, and production value.
This game looks amazing and Im excited yet skeptical! I hope we're all right about the replayability of the game, cause I wanna be able to enjoy the game for a while and not just a few playthroughs! Great vid, my friend

Was waiting for your reaction as soon as I saw the trailer. 👍

I can't help but think/hope that the person in white wielding something that looks like a giant axe is Xu Huang ☺

Nioh not not Nier. Nier is another thing all together
@@theflowerblogger Whoa, what? Yeah, I did mean to write Nioh. WTF? Brain. C'mon.
...I'm not editing it, this shit's funny.
Great breakdown

Never played a dynasty warriors game, but gameplay looks fun & I’m interested to see what makes fans love these games.
I'm shocked that all of those characters were in the trailer. Good eye guys
Hyped for this game
You think they’ll add a bit of Wo Long Fallen Dynasty into this?
This is super exciting! All I hope for is that we get every Character in this game, but of course it is gonna focus on the Nameless hero. I wonder if because this is a nameless warrior we will be looking at an alternative story than the usual one?

Cant camplain about clones if you just have one character that switches weapons!
At least thats what it looks like

Interesting analysis
I think I feel good about this game
Imagine if they implemented the mechanics from the Way of the Samurai series, namely the ability to influence the outcome of the story by virtue of his actions alone.
I better be able to play as Zhang He and the Qiao sisters.
4:00 I watched another guy cover this, and he said that ordering troops (or at least specifically archer troops) was already present in DW9.... I can't confirm or deny this myself, as I don't have the game.. plus my laptop would probably play it on low FPS
I think playing a mainline DW game as more of an observer character, free to move from side to side as you wish, could actually be kind of cool.
It seems something along the lines of Nioh 2. Following the historical characters' story through the eyes of your own character perhaps?
So, what we have in total:
- Main concept of this game devs want to realize - is DW5. They call it "Back to the Roots".
- Only one playable and non-costomizable character (some famous officers can be played temporary in battles)

- Game will be only about deep story and deep and tactical gameplay. So, no more meditative croud chopping. Archers will be pain in the a-word. Shielders will be pain in the a-word, etc.
- Duels will be the thing
Well, guess i`m going back to my old good DW8XL and WO4U.
I hope it doesnt use the same attack system as dw9
Call me a nerd, but i'm super jazzed about those gorgeous particle effects.
How can there be an origins when every game resells the same story every time? Granted gameplay can be similar yet different every time, but still. I am exited though. I doubt this is 10, but I do like my 1v1000 games.
I don't really think it's a reboot, it's more like GOW Origins games
A dynasty warriors rpg like the Witcher 3 or even bg3 would be amazing
Im gonna Pre order deluxe edition and all dlc. Playing over 1000 hours. 🎉🎉
Is there a dw game where the stage changes depending on how well u do ?
I don't think so but Dynasty Warriors Vol. 2 on PSP will take you to a different stage depending on how you beat the previous stage.
@WildcatWeather cheers ever since 5 I always had this thought of playing a stage and when starting off it's harder but the better u get replaying the stage different things could happen as for example getting rid of a leader or group earlier when then change events in the stage

Is this one being made by the same guys that did DW9? That's a bit troubling if so...
The game is being produced by a different person so there's hope!
really hope it ain’t no 20 hour game🙏🏽
I would play it forever tho
Super excited
Dynasty Warriors "origins". Cao Cao with no facial hair...so maybe it's a younger version of cao cao ??
I'm have high hopes, and DW will be good 😢
When is the game coming out for release? It looks pretty awesome 👍😁👍
How do you feel about Hyrule Warriors game that was based on Legend of Zelda 😂
Haven't played them yet but heard they're great games
if this fail again ill😂they should have made dw10 n brought back dw2 were soldier atk you aggressively n u atk them 1 by 1.
bring back dw7 unique weapon i miss Zhou Yu sword n Gan Ning sword
Warriors Orochi 3 ultimate is the greatest human creation and the greatest game in history It is the king of games and the king of warriors
my boy yuan shao didn't get recognition, but yeah those scene 5:30 looks scripted which mean i don't think this is open world
For me I will fight for Wei
PLEASE BE GOOD AIEEEEE
As much as I'm excited for this game but honestly I think it's time to move on from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms and start a brand new series within the Dynasty Warriors franchise

Pretty sure it’s xiahou dun zhang Lao madai pang de
I think you're right about Xiahou Dun, im still unsure about the rest.

Honestly just give me Dynasty Tactics 3, I don't trust them with hack and slash anymore
:( sad. Even less history and more bologna. We want history!!!!!
Uugh create a character ill pass i hope we have all thr characters
Ironic game title. I guarantee its gonna be the same old crap from all the newer games and none of the grit and difficulty from the older ones.
The director is one of the leaders who worked on the PS2 games, (who came back to direct this) so don't give up hope yet.
@@HighPriestFuneral Oh thats whats up. Keeping my fingers crossed on this one
