Also get to the islands of volcanic scenery.....get on your horse and ride around about 10/15 metres from the shoreline in a big circle following the shoreline and you will collect 30 or so deposits of iron and roughly 30% of those will contain obsidian
@@tiffanywilliams6040 any time :) forgot to mention that these loot drops also contain precious gems sometimes also....also for Oriculum, press your assassins sense when above any bridge. 90% of the time there is an oriculum piece under it. Same with coastal areas with a rocky outcrops and the highest mountains throughout the game or very high hill tops/cliffs. Usually right next to them you will find an Ore deposit with Iron, Obsidian and precious gems

I learned my lesson tho, when I started NG+ I decided to play on hard instead of normal and kept up with the 5 merc meter, until around lvl 87-90, then they started sending 2-3 lvl 99 mercs at me at a time and it was a Problem. The game forced me to do something crazy, so I did... I engraved the Greek Heroes Set to make it 90% melee resist and added some master points to make it 100%. It’s like playing with a cheat code on, even against mythicals
3:33 NB: Dismantling all rare & common items is an error, as they provide no glass or gems. The cheapest (sell price) rare/common armour can be sold for more than the value of its parts. I can sell a L24 arm armour for 123d, or dismantle it for 114d (7 leather = 84d; 3 iron = 30d). So, only dismantle epic armour - sell everything else. Mercenary tiers only lessen the cost of gear purchases, upgrades, and engraving - material prices stay the same.
Thanks for the tips, I was dismantling bows. By far the fastest way to get wood, i think you did mention, is ships. If you can get a mercenary on a ship, you get his gear and TONS more money and wood. Those ships have a beige sail, a silver raming? cover, and the mercenary icon. I love this game being aware of the history in this time era. Its a great game ImO..

The tactic of raiding forts for materials is sluggish, as you're already doing that, so here we are looking for a quick method, but the sell/dismantle data is helpful at 5:50 and explains how the looting is productive. Also, 1:43 I hadn't noticed the blacksmiths sell wood, which I need, so I'm pleased. I'd guess sinking ships is the fastest method via gameplay, but not sure how to go about that. Upgrading at levels 11, 21, 31, 41, etc is really good info too. Thanks.

Very informative video. I've actually been stuck in total bored grinding mode for the last year (because of the boredom, not logging in to work much anymore). The side quests are too repetitive and the upgrades are too expensive. Been having the hardest time, because of the boredom, getting enough drachme. I can get resources more easily by just looting everything I see and kill, and making sure to get all rocks from caves and stuff. I upgrade gear every 10 levels and it takes more than that to get the money for those upgrades, and I'm trying to finish upgrading my ship because I need that edge with ship combat (which I've never liked). I only dismantle gear when I'm too far from a blacksmith to sell it and need the space, then I go gear before weapons with bows last. The money's the hardest. When you need hundreds of thousands of drachme and you're looting like 15 or less from bodies and bags and stuff, it takes forever. I know the side quests pay a few thousand each, but they're so boring I even find myself falling asleep doing them. I really don't like this change they made to the game play. It's too grindy without enough variety. It's the first AC game I've actually gotten bored playing.

I have planty of materials but always stuck on facking glass. Percent of blacksmith who selling glass is very small and very small amount of glass you cant to buy. Also, you cant get glass if you not dismatle weapons. I disagree with you with leveling gears. I try to level my sword every 5 levels becose this is value when you stack and not produce damage. I try to get more but trying to take down mercenary whit 5 levels down sword get me jumping on him 5x and not complete him whatever I doing. Also, dagers in ac odyssey are bullshit, slicing mecenary 5 minutes and take half damage. This weapon need to take, maybe, assassin roll but not a primal roll for combat.
I really liked it 😍 I would say though that after watching the entire chart get filled in the total mats doesn't seem that useful. You can't sell mats so you only really care about what items give what mats and how the sell value compares to the value of the mats if bought directly. Ya know?
I just got the game 4 or 5 days ago and I'm only at level 13. lol But I'm curious, couldn't some of that gear be helpful for conquest battles and forts? Like damage against Spartans for Spartan forts or invading Spartan territories? I mean if the other perks or whatever go with your playstyle. And I mean to keep the gear and only use it for those times. Or is it totally not worth doing that mainly because you'd have to upgrade it every 10 levels? This game is my first AC game so I'm not used to so much customizing! lol Just trying to learn the ropes.
died4u525 well idk if this counts as a spoil or not but you get legendary sets for both spartan damage and Athenian damage, as well as animal damage. So don’t worry too much! 🤗

I haven't gotten all of the cultists yet so I guess I have a lot of good gear still left to collect. I went with fire which is pretty awesome but I have a secondary load out I'm working on for poison so I can test it out and see which I like better. I'm loving this game! I'm over 160 hours in and I still have a lot of the story left to do! It's so easy to get lost in this game. Hours pass without me realizing it!

Hi jordan, used your boeotia run for gear but made a twist to it. Cleared for, then ignite the signal, extra troops came. And also many mercenaries, at 1 point i had 5 read heads in the right corner. Endup defeating ALL mercenaries that where in the list. SO this boeotia leveld me 4 levels and gave a ton on high gear
I really appreciated this video, now I have a few sets of gear I'm using I'm running real Low on mats to do both upgrading and putting into the Adrestia, and I was upgrading far too often, every 3 levels or so which saps sooo much materials and drachmae so thank you so much for this, you explained it really well and your descriptions of how everything broke down were very easy to follow!!

I wish I've known this from the start of my game. I'm level 33 now and can't help but thinking I was doing it wrong all this time. Still very helpfull in the levels to come, though. Tnx a lot 👍👍
Quick tips: 5:50 Only dismantle epic armour (and only dismantle epic swords/daggers too if you need iron because all the blacksmiths are sold out, otherwise sell); Sell everything else (including rare/common - 3:33 dismantling provides none of the glass/gems, so the video's advice is wrong); 1:43 Buy materials from blacksmith; 2:08 Only upgrade at levels 11, 21, 31, 41, etc.
what does it mean to only upgrade at level 21, for example?... i only upgrade if it's currently at lvl 21 - so that after it's lvl 22? if i understood correctly, it sounds liike sounds like there's perk at lvl 21 so you wouldn't upgrade AT level 21; rather upgrade TO lvl 21. so i'm only upgrading lvl 20 to 21? what about lvl 19? 18? ....where's the cut off.
NB: There's a blacksmith restock resources/crafting materials glitch. Walk up to him, when you see 'Talk' stop, then simultaneously press Y/triangle + X/square - the store will open and you'll also dash backwards. This lets you buy a single material, but afterwards his stock isn't exhausted - you can tell it's working when the d-pad icon and stock numbers disappear. Unfortunately, it then greys out the Buy button, so you have to exit and repeat the glitch to keep buying more. Also, the video's advice is wrong. Only dismantle EPIC ARMOUR, everything else sells for more than the value of their parts!

Get the last cultist gear piece when you are level 99 and switch to nightmare mode if you play the game on a lower level juist for this last cultist of every branch, this means you don't have to upgrade you legendary gear pieces, don't loot legendary chests until your level 99, play with epic gear since it's cheaper to upgrade, upgrade every 5 to 10 levels, i level my gear when i notice i start dying from 1 hit arrow shots, my range resistance is crap on the build i use. still rocking the crit staff build. I cleared my whole ship storage since it was very low level gear and the gear i get now is often the same but way better level. i still have 180.000 leather 140.000 stone, 320.000 wood, 90000 obsidian, 35000 gems and 5.000.000 drachmae. I'm level 94 now and i just finished the monger. i notice when playing ng+ the passive contracts are more available since every new region has at least 2 to 3 new passive contracts. in the old game at the end i struggled to get passive contracts from boards sometimes i had to go to 4 boards to get a contract at all. my goal for today is hit level 99 and do all the cultist then. also the weekly contract this week "smoking waters" is no grind if you play the Xenia missions
when you level up make sure to level up at 71, 81, 91, and not on 70, 80, 90 at 71 you het level 8 on your engravings on 81 you get level 9 on your engravings en 91 you get level 10 on your engravings

Quick tips: 5:50 Only dismantle epic armour (and only dismantle epic swords/daggers too if you need iron because all the blacksmiths are sold out, otherwise sell); Sell everything else (including rare/common - 3:33 dismantling provides none of the glass/gems, so the video's advice is wrong); 1:43 Buy materials from blacksmith; 2:08 Only upgrade at levels 11, 21, 31, 41, etc.
what does it mean to only upgrade at level 21, for example?... i only upgrade if it's currently at lvl 21 - so that after it's lvl 22? if i understood correctly, it sounds liike sounds like there's perk at lvl 21 so you wouldn't upgrade AT level 21; rather upgrade TO lvl 21. so i'm only upgrading lvl 20 to 21? what about lvl 19? 18? ....where's the cut off.
NB: There's a blacksmith restock resources/crafting materials glitch. Walk up to him, when you see 'Talk' stop, then simultaneously press Y/triangle + X/square - the store will open and you'll also dash backwards. This lets you buy a single material, but afterwards his stock isn't exhausted - you can tell it's working when the d-pad icon and stock numbers disappear. Unfortunately, it then greys out the Buy button, so you have to exit and repeat the glitch to keep buying more.
Also, the video's advice is wrong. Only dismantle EPIC ARMOUR, everything else sells for more than the value of their parts!

Get the last cultist gear piece when you are level 99 and switch to nightmare mode if you play the game on a lower level juist for this last cultist of every branch, this means you don't have to upgrade you legendary gear pieces, don't loot legendary chests until your level 99, play with epic gear since it's cheaper to upgrade, upgrade every 5 to 10 levels, i level my gear when i notice i start dying from 1 hit arrow shots, my range resistance is crap on the build i use. still rocking the crit staff build.
I cleared my whole ship storage since it was very low level gear and the gear i get now is often the same but way better level. i still have 180.000 leather 140.000 stone, 320.000 wood, 90000 obsidian, 35000 gems and 5.000.000 drachmae.
I'm level 94 now and i just finished the monger. i notice when playing ng+ the passive contracts are more available since every new region has at least 2 to 3 new passive contracts. in the old game at the end i struggled to get passive contracts from boards sometimes i had to go to 4 boards to get a contract at all. my goal for today is hit level 99 and do all the cultist then. also the weekly contract this week "smoking waters" is no grind if you play the Xenia missions
when you level up make sure to level up at 71, 81, 91, and not on 70, 80, 90 at 71 you het level 8 on your engravings on 81 you get level 9 on your engravings en 91 you get level 10 on your engravings
