I use an electric heater and hold the hype sticker near the heat and they come off a lot easier. I have used multiple cleaning products over the years and for me a vacuum system works the best and is the quickest
I’ll cut the hype sticker larger that the sticker itself, then I’ll place plastic side down with really hot water on a sponge and it does help loosen the glue.
I basically do the same as you but with one extra step. I have a nylon microfiber brush that I do a dry wiping to get the loose junk off before I do the wet wipe. Thanks for the video I always like to see what other people do to clean.
I use the groove washer on brand new records, but secondhand I always run through the spin clean. I find secondhand are always so grimey, the spin clean just does a deeper clean. I laminate my hype stickers and put them in with the album jacket. Im not a fan of leaving the shrink wrap on but everyone has their own processes :) Good video thanks 👍
I personally use the spin clean and vinyl vac, works great. Similar method to you where I listen to the album a few times before it goes to the regular shelf after cleaning
I've thought about buying a Spin Clean several times, but most of the time I'm only buying 2 or 3 albums at a time. It seems like a great system for cleaning a lot of records at one time.
I have about a 85% save percentage on the hype stickers. I try to take them all off and put them on the outer sleeves I use. I just use a razor blade to get under the sticker a little, once i get a corner up, im usually able to peel it the rest of it all the way off (slowly) with my fingers.
Vinyl storage solutions from CA is great. I like the bulk seconds which is cheaper and I have never had a problem with them. I only use the resealable sleeves to make gatefolds and for my huge 80s 12 in singles collection. For my reg albums I use the flap from vinyl storage solutions and just slip the album behind the cover I put that in poly sleeve. To clean I use spin clean with good results and the water never goes onto the label. I have noticed that more records are coming out with the poly inner sleeve and not the crappy paper sleeve ( as much). My turntable is Fluance rt85 - don't you have that one as well. i was curious about the cartridge, how often do you change the stylus - my record player is on 4-5 hrs a day, more on weekends. Was wondering if its easy to change the stylus or do you just by new cartridge? I also now try to save the hype sticker, some peel off more than others
I will if there is a large amount of debris on the record, but most of the time I don’t have to. The G2 fluid does a great job collecting any dirt and fibers on the record.

Thank you for sharing how you clean your records. I really appreciate your video!

@@TheVinylDen It is, the only time I use mine is if I'm setting aside a few hours to knock out a good stack vinyl

Oh that’s a good idea. I’ve been able to pull most up but I’ll have to remember to use a razor the next time I have a stubborn one.

Yo Nick. Wouldn't you want to brush the vinyl off before spraying it? So, you're not taking any large debris and spreading it while you wipe.
