I bought my wife a Gucci belt for Christmas one year. She grew up poor, but she grew up to be a successful engineer/consultant. Her family resents her because they’re still stuck, thus never got a lot of love and support from them. The belt was $500 and I knew it wasn’t worth that amount, but her smile and giggles when she opened the box was the best return on that investment. Sometimes it’s ok to splurge if you can. That belt was one of the many ways I let my wife know that she’s loved.
Its worth it when you are too rich that you dont know what to do with money so why not waste some to support economy. This lady bought one of cheapest thing in Hermes so maybe she is not rich but trying to give for birthday anything Hermes
That lady that bought the lipstick that said she used to run a horse races or some thing she was the best! I love how she told about the family business. That was great that was a great! Her attitude was like at first, she wasn’t gonna say anything, and then she was like what the heck!
Worth it ? No way. I used to know a girl who worked at a Gucci store, and she told me the markup on all the goods is absolutely insane - like many hundred percent. You pay for the name and rich people pay whatever it costs as a status symbol. It's no different from an exclusive nightclub that sells $80 bottles of champagne for $2000. All status. If you can afford to be in that nightclub you don't care about prices. I heard a few people say that it's way easier to sell to the super rich than the poor or less well off. All you have to do is put a huge price tag on anything to keep the perceived value and exclusivity high. Richard Mille watches are a great example. I heard many rich folks online say that RM watches are not worth the money at all, but they still buy them because you have to be super rich to own one. It has snob value and says "I have a ton of money".
@@russiasvechenaya58 Can't remember exactly, but it was insane. Some of the percentages were mind blowing. Even for small stuff like belts/purses/wallets it was like 600% or 700% and went up from there on more expensive items. The cost of the top end stuff was like 90% purely mark-up.

This is probably more beneficial than many know, 1) asking the advise of someone whose “made it” and 2) the opinion of the brand being “worth it” truly shines light on perspective since everyone had different answers. + the humility the speaker asked the questions with was dope!
The problem with people who suddenly start making good money is that they think it will ALWAYS be like that so they tend to blow a lot of it instead of saving. Circumstances can change. Investments can tank, health problems can get real expensive real fast. If hard times do come, you’ll be glad to have some savings instead of piles of luxury goods rotting in your closet that have depreciated significantly. I had to learn this the hard way. Trust me, SAVE YOUR MONEY. Buy a few cute things but don’t go crazy because it can get addictive and humans tend to always want more.
Exactly!! Which is why high end brands aren’t worth it. Frugality is everything. It’s ok if you want one item from a luxury brand. But to keep buying them? No.

It’s worth it if you can comfortably afford it and it brings you joy to acquire, use and wear these luxury items. For me, personally , it wouldn’t be worth it if I had to save for months to make a purchase. Luxury shopping has become very mainstream over the past few years and in my opinion one should buy something if and only if they have enough disposable income to do so after their other expenses and financial priorities have been taken care of.
I think its more how you carry yourself that matters I recently saw a lady who was stunning and had no designer bag. Its about confidence and personal style
Prada is still family owned100%. Hermès, Ferragamo are publicly traded though the families are majority shareholders. Chanel is owned by some French billionaire though not the original family.
It's worth the money because of high resell market. My friend was offered a croc Kelly bag(38K) and the salesperson told her she has to spend same amount as bag on other things, like clothes, home furnishings, and shoes. They called this "quota" . If you already have lots of big purchase history, the quota is still required if you want their specialty bags.
Last guy was the best!!! None of these brands should give you value as a person. The equestrian lady is great too! Love her. Denny’s manager was good. You can tell he loves his wife and kids and that’s amazing.
NONE of this stuff is worth the money, speaking as someone who owns a handful of luxury bags and belts and bought them despite knowing that. The hairstylist and the rapper are right. Also, fun fact: while it's true that Hermes is one of the only family-owned fashion companies out there, they don't treat their workers well. So there's that.
Hermes is in a category all by itself. As far as a Birken or Kelly bag goes they are excellent investment. Some people have bought them and sold them upwards of 10x more than they bought them. They are so classic, they can be an heirloom purchase. Probably the most interesting person interviewed was the older woman who has been in the Thoroughbred Racing business. There is a reason its called a game of Kings, one has to be extraordinarily wealthy to be in that field to own a top producing race horse. In today's world the horses are generally owned by several business owners or corporations. They make oodles of money off stud fees and selling offspring of champion horses. Also, the judge gave you some info on the earrings. But to become a judge usually one has been a top attorney for years, so the real money is made in those years. Being a judge has great social access and relatively modest income, but usually less stress than being an attorney.

Just found you on your LV video & had a few minutes to find this. You're AMAZING! I DO believe a lot of Hermes & Chanel are worth it. They're still family owned & quality made . As for the other designers- only 'certain' items are worth it. Most are now made in China rather than Italy or France. So sad about Gucci that they too sold out to Corp America. And I would NEVER buy Balenciaga or others that are connected with Child Trafficking. Again- BRILLIANT work Snew!
Yep! Same! I specifically search for items made Europe. I refues to spend for example, $500 on a hat that is made in China. Like where's the allure with that? Great points!
The answer to whether it's worth it or not depends on what you're buying... If you're some broke person who only buys items a few times a year, chances are you're buying their cheap mass produced items that probably are NOT worth it. But if you're a valued client who can afford the higher end/ limited piece that are not mass produced and are actually still hand crafted and made with care then the answer is yes, it is worth it.

No brand is actually worth the money. What's makes it worth it is the exclusivity, the "I have it and you don't," which is what makes any brand worth anything. I myself fall victim to having high end pieces as well, since brands are so ingrained in our society. However, I realized that investing is so much more fun and the fact you can watch your money grow is what kind of shies me away from buying high end things anymore.

Interesting video. Obviously, everybody set different priorities and you are the only one who can set your own priorities in life. Personally, I would prefer to invest that amount of money that you spend in Hermes to generate more money, with compound interest, and it becomes passive income. You can wear nice clothes and good quality clothes ( with lots of style) even without spending so much. In this way you can save more and invest more.
Everyone that IS successful has found a passion and something they truly LOVE to do! Unlike those who are unhappy when they talk about work. (many people)
Love this channel so much. Have learned and am learning a lot. Also is a venue for motivation/inspiration with modern today fun-one of the best channels I have found for all that. Great job!
the students shopping at Hermes "Crazy Rich Asians" a lot of Asians in Beverly Hills and a good amount of foreigners. That equestrian lady is what you call "old money" she probably knows a lot of wealthy families from that industry most wealthy people eventually own horses.
I honestly don’t get the love for any brand name items. I can’t fathom spending that kind of money. Like one of the ladies said…not worth it, leather is leather. God bless 🙏❤️
So I’ve watched many of your videos now and I’ve noticed that most of the people that make outrageous money are business owners, which is no surprise, but their incomes they give are mostly misleading. They tell you the revenues their company makes not how much they pay themselves. A very different number.
Lol dang that student's dad runs several hospitals? Well then he just showed that he lives off his daddy's money. Sounds like majority of the ppl interviewed here owns their own business to shop there. I like how the honest one makes a point that self worth doesn't come from the brand, it comes from within. Any leather or accessory has a cap on its actual cost, but it's the brand that people spend money on as a status symbol.
I wonder if they would buy the same quality of goods but without the big name. I’m learning to make clothes & leather goods. Although more or less it’s still expensive but it’s actually at a reasonable price considering all costs at the end of the day.
I'm so happy I made productive decisions about my finances that changed my life forever. I'm a single mother living in Buffalo New York, bought my second house in January and hoping to retire next year at 39 if things keep going smoothly for me!!..

Definitely worth the money! My Birkin bag is an investment. I can sell it for nearly what I bought it for at anytime. You can’t say the same for a Coach or Dooney.
That's not an investment or an asset, it's a liability. If you had the bag for more than 4 years you need to count in that it has lost 10+2+3+2% in value, just to inflation. Also if you had INVESTED the same amount in stock Nasdaq (Etf) you would have made 35-55%, so please don't call it an investment.

Maybe even more.
That roofing company guy saying "because that's what my wife wants" is the greenest of all green flags!
Everyone that IS successful has found a passion and something they truly LOVE to do! Unlike those who are unhappy when they talk about work. (many people)
Very interesting re Hermes, Chanel and Swarovski- these are my top 3. I don’t rate any of the other big brands..
The rapper with the jewelry gave the best advice. Straight no bs
Yeah facts, but the old lady dropped some knowledge also.
Not everyone that goes to Hermes is rich, they are tourist on vacation who saved to go on vacation and buy things.
I have designer and Hermes bag and shoes. I would never encourage anyone to buy expensive items--it has to be worth it to YOU
The rapper spoke facts, he said people treat you a little different when you have designer and its a statement piece
Love this channel so much. Have learned and am learning a lot. Also is a venue for motivation/inspiration with modern today fun-one of the best channels I have found for all that. Great job!
Thanks to that old lady for all this informations. 🥰🥰🥰 Such a kind and educated woman
Denny’s manager bout to be broke with that many expensive ladies in the house 😂
🤣🤣🤣
Leather is leather. Lady nailed it!
Actually Chanel, Hermes and Swarovski are PARTIALLY family-owned.
the students shopping at Hermes "Crazy Rich Asians" a lot of Asians in Beverly Hills and a good amount of foreigners. That equestrian lady is what you call "old money" she probably knows a lot of wealthy families from that industry most wealthy people eventually own horses.
while their own cousins are making those products in their homeland China or Vietnam
@@head_honcho192that’s racist. also hermes is made in france?? or so they claim
@@head_honcho192tell me ur jealous without telling me ur jealous
I honestly don’t get the love for any brand name items. I can’t fathom spending that kind of money. Like one of the ladies said…not worth it, leather is leather. God bless 🙏❤️
So I’ve watched many of your videos now and I’ve noticed that most of the people that make outrageous money are business owners, which is no surprise, but their incomes they give are mostly misleading. They tell you the revenues their company makes not how much they pay themselves. A very different number.
I thought the same esp. the guy who said he makes 2 mil a month.
True it's like what they say in Shark Tank, a company can bring in 10 million a year, but still profited at a lost...
, when a businessman says I make X , he actually means my business makes X
Lol dang that student's dad runs several hospitals? Well then he just showed that he lives off his daddy's money. Sounds like majority of the ppl interviewed here owns their own business to shop there. I like how the honest one makes a point that self worth doesn't come from the brand, it comes from within. Any leather or accessory has a cap on its actual cost, but it's the brand that people spend money on as a status symbol.
Dude working at Dennys is window shopping at Hermes. Lol
Or shopping for a window lol
Yikes a few of those people definitely shouldn’t be buying Hermes based on what they make🥴
I wonder if they would buy the same quality of goods but without the big name. I’m learning to make clothes & leather goods. Although more or less it’s still expensive but it’s actually at a reasonable price considering all costs at the end of the day.
2 million a month? Let me go see what that industry is about real quick.
So, what did you find out?
Cocaine
I like the honesty of the shoppers xxx
That judge, if he was Nigerian and in Nigeria, what he does for work would involve collecting HUGE bribes from corrupt govt officials 🤣🤣🤣
The same in Russia.
wtf i didnt even recognize that was AFN peso, i knew he looked familiar. You had good timing with tht, his music is fire
You happened to interview a couple of Chinese rich students. owning a couple of hospitals in china easily get you 50 millions a year.
Awesome video again ❤ SnewJ deserves an award 🥇 for those great interviews ‼️💯🙏🏽
AFN peso put it a lot of work 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Some people are arrogant I don't like them but the majority were very humble.
That horse lady is an absolute joy
This new content is top tier keep it up🎉🎉
The saying " find a job you love and you'll never work again" is very true.
That lady was READY to talk about them horsezzz... and HerMEZ 😂😂😂
*asks to Chinese person: “what do you do for living”
Chinese person: “parents”
😂😂😂
2:43 they were nervous and definitely uncomfortable 😂😂
The 20 yr old is way beyond his age. Great to see someone young and so wise.
wow wow wow !!! im kinda drooling here ! most these shoppers r from different countries! i enjoyed all theyre accents more then what they bought 😊😂😮
I love the horse lady. People have no idea how much money is in horses
The fact that first dude said 500,000 and some people think making that a year for people Is an expectation should put things into perspective
Some industries do command that ie surgeons top lawyers, obviously top athletes and business man. But it’s not a given and you need to be good
The last guy: “uh, I’m a consultant”. I was getting Jamie Foxx in Horrible Boses vibes….”murder consultant”. 😆😆😆
I think it's so funny that the people that says Hèrmes is NOT worth it ... still bought it and explained why it was actually worth it! 😂😂😂
The way wealthy people stay wealthy? By not spending insane amounts of money on products like this.
"Hermes is worth the money bc that's what my wife wants" 😂 right answer
OG dropped some knowledge on the 3 companies that haven't been bought
poor people buy gucci and LV
I'm so happy I made productive decisions about my finances that changed my life forever. I'm a single mother living in Buffalo New York, bought my second house in January and hoping to retire next year at 39 if things keep going smoothly for me!!..
Well I will gladly share some tips to you, I used the F.I.R.E movement to put my finances in order. Then Invested in stocks, cryptocurencies and real estates though it's the assistance of an Investment Pro who helped me make it this big
I will forever be indepted to😇 Mr Martin, you've changed my whole life I'll continue to preach about your name for the world to hear you've saved me from a huge financial debt with just little investment thanks so much Mr Martin Gerard
You should have interviewed us coming out of the store at 9:35
Wow haha, I would have loved to see your reaction. Awesome that you're in the video!
Inspiring… gotta keep grinding. Great videos man 🤑🤑
BIG AFN PESO! Giving real advise too 💯
Good video! Wish it was even longer 🔥
NEW TO CHANNEL, YOU ASK THE RIGHT QUESTIONS
People who usually shops at luxury stores are not rich.
Sheesh fire video snewj!! Shit badass🙏🔥we need more more more
Thank you, keep doing this, it's pretty good.
@@rasmusjensen588 paleeze!
I dont think they are rich if they are shopping in Beverly hills
My sister bought their most expensive bag 😂like 35k, wonder if it’s thrown in the back of her closet by now 😮
Prefer investing my money in stocks. Watching you for the interesting and inspiring people.
Those people already invested
Love how he even caught the Nepo Babies in their natural state of spending their parents money and tryna dodge the camera
Well he was honest? Said his dad supports him! That takes pride to say, esp for a man. Don't be jealous.
Seen this on Peso’s story had too watch 🔥
This guys should go to Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai, Monte Carlo
Hats off to the rapper and lady with the tie for keeping it real. 'We like to buy it, but we know it's bu****it"
Loving these videos man keep up the awesome work!!!
