  • One of the most unique and iconic looking rockets in history. With its unusual center of mass and its lateral shifting especially when fuel is about to drain, its difficult to keep maintaining orientation. The RS-25 engines need to be pointed slightly above the center of mass to reduce torque from the boosters and when the fuel tank is very very low. I kinda cheated a bit by using a massive gyroscope on the fuel tank and in the orbiter. The engines are throttled at max 60% after booster separation to avoid flipping over. And the boosters are liquid fueled engines where the fuel is tinkered to solid. The boosters has its own flight program where it has its own ignition broadcast (please check the command chip at each booster to know the corresponding broadcast name). Booster also ramps down depending on fuel and can't be shutdown.
I suggest opening the flight log in case of instructions such as orbital insertion.
If you want to reenter this craft right on the runway, in low droo prograde orbit about 100-200km, make the impact icon (the explosion icon) right on 1/3 part of the desert continent left of the DSC. Pitch about 40 degrees and you can slightly overshoot the DSC and land at the runway.
The roll control of this is just PID with bank angle as error, and when the booster is separated I just made the PID constants negative. There is some oscillation at the roll maneuver but its manageable.
There's also a Canadarm attached made by llwei97.
