I don't think grandpa even knows who Luis Miguel is. Sabor a mi was written and became way popular way before Luis Miguel was even born. Written by Alvaro Carrillo 1959. Check out Eydie Gorme's version with Los panchos. My favourite. Awesome playing btw.
Yes you're right. You're talking about los panchos when they sang it with that Lady. I forgot her name. But yes you're right. Luis Miguel made most of the Mexican Classics way more famous in America. Thanks though (: haha if I played it like it it was Luis Miguels version I would have never followed the old guy the right way :p
I agree. The Eydie Gorme/Los Panchos version is my favorite as well. I like acoustic versions of these songs without all the added technology which doesn't really add anything to them.

That could have been really good. The older guy had some nice chops and the younger guy had decent rhythm but both guitars were way out of tune and also tuned differently from each other. That's kind of a double whammy.

You put the Luis Miguel part in the description, so it wouldn't really help you in attracting views. since they already clicked on it to see the video. but it's whatever. They would look down and see, "yeah, that guy is wearing glasses and gay shoes" and they'd look at the other one and see he has glasses but no gay shoes. My opinion is still valid.

Ray Castro There's way better versions, I don't know why you're so defensive about this one in particular. If they played the song out of tune, it sounds bad. no matter what the song is. [I can't enjoy it since it's very out of tune,even if it's my favorite song] it is what it is, if they play the song well,then they played it well. Life is too short to listen to bad covers of great song and too short to wear gay shoes.

RIP Eydie Gorme, so underrated, my favorite too. Another favorite version was by the Korean boy group, EXO-K.
