Thanks, Collin. Great content as usual, with great depth and detail. I've been using this feature for a while, but there were gaps in the way I was using it to utilize its full potential. So great tutorial!
Version 25.0 has issues for me, but the Beta 25.x is fine. Biggest and unsung deal for me: video and audio are truly linked together when you place them on the timeline. Still no auto cross-fades like Sony Vegas did 10yo. So when you push clips together too far, its destructive. I guess I learn to ripple delete.
Thank you Colin. I posted few comments on another channel, and lo & behold already few people decided to quit Adobe (reacting to my comment post only). Well, these updates are not that effective; we could do that already with the previous versions, they don't add much up. However, Adobe should have updated the transcribe section to include more languages, enhance the color panel, add a dropdown button for preset metadata preference, and much more. Also, all these features people can get in Capcut, DaVinci, InVideo, ALL FOR FREE. As I mentioned elsewhere, in 2 years max, Adobe will lose 50% of their subscribers.
Can you please do something where subscribers can submit their edited video and you can see what they can improve and do tutorials on how they can improve?
This is all great stuff, thanks Colin !!! As far as the Effects Control panel, I believe that removing it entirely can be done, but it should be done in baby steps. If they remove it entirely all at once, I am afraid lots people will be very confused (me, for once 😀) I am not sure i like the idea of doing all that directly on the timeline, but who knows. The only thing I am almost sure is that if that's the way Adobe wants to go, the should do it gradually. Even better, if that makes any sense and is technically doable, leave both options.
This change was very disorienting when it first appeared. This tut is the most helpful one I've seen so far, thank you. Subbed
Very detailed explanation of the new panel, much more info than I've seen in other vids. Glad I didn't assume I already knew what's new. Thanks!
This is so much faster, this is awesome, the effect controls UI has always been a bit painful to use, changes like this make me want to edit again

Thanks Colin. There seems to be some problems on the Mac version so I am waiting a bit but I cannot wait to use it!!
I know that they updated the color space for different cameras, but did they include Black Magic as well?

Yes, volume in properties.
Thanks

Adobe should fuse pr and ae. Like fusion and resolve. Ae is good to work with. Just have a timeline and cutting and transitions, etc.
a great idea taken directly from Davinci Resolve
Originally from FCP.

Now it's even more like FCP.
Looks like what DaVinci has been doing.
Haha, 20 years too late....but finally, wow! So much nicer! 😅
