I have seen countless performances of Aida over the years, but none can compare to this one - the set is magnificent, the costumes are fabulous, and the Grand March has never been done with such grandiose elements. Bravo to the principal singers and chorus as well. I have never seen a human sacrifice ever done before in this opera - totally out of character and unnecessary - I don't believe Egyptians did that and I can't believe anyone thought this was a good idea.
The singing is of course fantastic, but I’m really loving the acting here in this performance! Especially Amneris, I feel like she’s really acting the part as well as singing it!!! ❤
Very, very beautifully done. This would have been outstanding, except for one thing. The sound engineers did an awful job in placing the microphones. Most of the time you could hardly hear the singing, especially that of the soloist because the orchestra was to loud. Not just that but, the singing sounded like it was to far away.

After all the pageantry it was still a good staging. Music and audio was poor.

Should have invested in a proper orchestra. This orchestra is terrible.
