Dutch King & Queen emotional after visiting refugee shelter for Ukrainians

- King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima look back with tears in their eyes after their working visit to the refugee shelter at the Harskamp army camp. The royal couple met the Ukrainian citizens at the barracks, listened to their stories and expressed their support and condolences. In addition, Willem-Alexander and Máxima spoke with, among others, employees of the Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers (COA), with representatives of the municipality about various aspects of on-site reception and with the village council.
On Thursday 3 March, the first 120 Ukrainian refugees arrived in the Harskamp army camp. The maximum capacity of 950 refugees has now been reached. In collaboration with the Red Cross, the Netherlands Council for Refugees and the Ministry of Defense caterer, COA receives the Ukrainians and provides them with basic needs. The municipalities and security regions are responsible for the reception of displaced Ukrainians, because in principle these refugees are not asylum seekers. In the army camp Harskamp, however, the COA is taking the lead in the reception for the time being, because of the expertise, the qualified staff and the necessary resources. Later, the municipality of Ede will take over the shelter.

Me gustan estos reyes. Están donde tienen que estar en casa ocasión que lo requiera. Aprecian a la gente sencilla y trabajadora que hace cosas por su país. Mi hermana que vive en Holanda dice que la gente los adora y es que se lo han ganado. Miles de bendiciones para ellos.

The dutch royal couple seems very interested and genuine engaged with the refugees of the war.
They say what they are expected to say and talk superficial. They live a luxury life fom tax money what Dutch people have to pay.
@Coos Busters You say "shut up" to somebody who has another opinion than you, actually exactly telling the truth and meanwhile you tell me that I have to show some respect.😂 I don't feel that I need to show more respect to the king than to anybody else because the only reason why he is king is because he is the first born child from the former queen. He is a totally unneccesary person for our country and I guess you think different about it and that is fine.
I know many in The Netherlands are not fond of the Monarchy in my country (personally I don't care so much), but you can't deny this is something our king and queen are very good at. You can see the empathy in their eyes. They truly care about the wellbeing of people, and it is a wonderful thing to see.

One can see the pain in their faces is real after visiting with the refugees. One cannot be human or humane and not feel this pain, even if half a world away, as am I. So good that the Dutch have stepped up so forthrightly to do their part in helping to alleviate the suffering.

The King Willem and Queen Maxima should reach out to the Salvation Army for help. After Hurricane Katrina which the Mississippi Gulf Coast they worked relentlessly to help. My respect for them is over the moon. They pay out 95%of there donations and operate on 5%. The officer are wonderful and work non stop. If they come in they hire 90% locals and even those have been made victims.
